Firemaking is in place for players like Jesse, Ben & Tony have one more chance to get to the end, but we've seen how it has had basically the opposite effect where big players need to be gone earlier like we've seen with players like Kelley in 38. Players like Jesse & Devens losing the fire doesn't mean the twist didn't serve it's purpose since they did still have an extra chance. The problem with firemaking is when players start either losing respect from the jury for not going into fire like we just saw because you worked your *** off for a month to get to the end and shouldn't be penalized for it or when players get rewarded for being sent into fire and winning when it wasn't even their choice to go in and winning fire is much easier than winning final 4 immunity. Gabler beating Jesse was not a move from him, it was C***idy's move to send the goat into fire who she thought would take out the guaranteed winner

The thing is, we need to remember people play around the firemaking now. So we could say well maybe Lauren still goes at 4, but what if that changed the F7/F5 round dynamics? We don't know that.
Also, I think firemaking giving Ben another chance is bullshit. I'm not gonna sit here and say Chrissy wins but it's definitely Ben going at F4. And I don't like that hag Chrissy but her FTC performance is a homerun. That jury was really THAT bitter.
i just don't get how beating one person in fire holds more weight than winning final immunity against 3 others, while someone who didn't win immunity gets brought to the end no questions asked and doesn't have to make fire. it doesn't make sense
If you're not the #1 target like Jesse, you may very well be better off just throwing the final immunity and saying you want to make fire but when Cassidy or whoever wins asks to see you just pretend to suck at it
Maybe you can explain it to me but why is Jesse getting shit for voting Gabler & not Cassidy? Cassidy made a final 3 without him, she chose Gabler & Owen. She's partially or mostly to blame for him going home due to making fire. I don't understand why he should've voted for her. Karla I completely get but not Jesse.

Cause he lied in FTC about things we've seen on TV and gaslighted Cassidy in front of everyone
final 4 firemaking ruined this show. Yes its great to manage your threat level but you can deadass wake up at final 5 and decide to win the game ****
It helped Wendell win right? Idr but he would have been 4th place without it. It helped Tony.
Statisically it helps men. And hurts women like Chrissy and Lauren Beck.
wendell and tony had resumes before making fire. lol.
Wendell would have been voted out without fire right? Wasn't Dom gunning for him that round? He had immunity.
yes but I acknowledged why the twist was created anyways lol, it was to protect people from that final 4 vote off. I cant tell what this conversation is ****.
Same. I was high. But this season was confusing as **** so its fitting lol. I think we are saying the same thing.
Wait how does gender effect Fire Making?? no one asked someone to build a house.
Youre on an island for 29 days. Learn how to build a fire in any of the off time you have
While it may same like someone of an equalizer it's proven after 9 seasons to favor males. Males have beaten females 5 times out of 5, it's a small sample size but still is a clear pattern.

Explain how then.
with literally anything in life with a gender imbalance you can explain it. How in the **** is cutting flint together and rubbing sticks with Coconut hair favoring men?
you haven't proven anything lol it's an insane statement

Literally proved it with data, men have a 100% win rate over women, that's all the proof you should need
you see how they make fire right? you've seen the process right? what about it makes men fundamentally better at it.
If you can't answer that question then you basically are just saying if i flip a coin 5 times and it lands on heads it'll never land on tails. It's dumb
I know y'all hated on Xander but please tell me you don't agree with this person that ranked 0 vote finalists from 41-43 and had OWEN #1 and Xander #2 and Romeo #3. Romeo and Owen are basically identical worthless players. Xander did his thang with a huge target on his back all season
They should just get rid if firemaking and go the mole route with a quiz about the season or the other players. If we're going do a boring tie breaker at least make it game related
Women were winning in the past because they were legit Survivor contestants who played the game and learned skills.
Angela and Cara literally don't know how to use flint that was embarrassing, Heather lost by a second, Lauren fire was pitiful, Sarah comepeted very well.

I think Owen was self-aware of the game he played. Apparently the jury of 41 never took Xander seriously and he wasn't privy to that.
If all 3 played again I think Owen has a better chance winning than Xander.

The contestants thought Xander was a joke and stood no chance to win since merge started so they were never threatened by him even with an idol. So I would rank Owen above him too

I dont think Xander had any target since like F9 when they all decided that he was a goat and nobody was going to vote for him and they draged him along
A dude that did nothing all season besides having an alliance with the people in power and when those where decimated they decided to poison jury and lie in FTC in orther to make their friend the winner. It's sad and nasty and propably the worst winner Survivor has ever had.
Is like if the jury of Caramoan voted for Sherri to win cause she ruled her premerge tribe with an iron fist.

wasn't jesse in a more likely alliance with cassidy post merge moreso than with gabler?
I just read an interview with Cass that said she had formed an alliance with Gabler & Owen for final 3 but it wasn't shown.
Wait how does gender effect Fire Making?? no one asked someone to build a house.

A woman has never beaten a man in fire making after it was introduced in 35 its so weird.
Another weird thing I found out recently is that the final immunity winner hasn't won the game since Chris underwood.
Literally proved it with data, men have a 100% win rate over women, that's all the proof you should need
not how any of it works. not how data works
you see how they make fire right? you've seen the process right? what about it makes men fundamentally better at it.
If you can't answer that question then you basically are just saying if i flip a coin 5 times and it lands on heads it'll never land on tails. It's dumb
you need to be asking as a woman why do you go on survivor and never once think to make a fire or learn how to do it.
Is it being afraid of being a threat? is it gender roles in camp? what do you do in your off time where you can't practice like we've seen people do?
it's a basic survival skill that's been on this show since season 1 there is no excuse to not know how to do it.
Fire making is also rigged bc there's apparently a side where the wind blows more I think it's the right side

All Fire Making Eliminations
Season 39
Season 40
Season 41

Owen did less than gabler, being an underdog isn't a game move.
I dont think Xander had any target since like F9 when they all decided that he was a goat and nobody was going to vote for him and they draged him along
But the jury at least respected him so he's better than the other 3rd place
Y'all think Cassidy deserved the win over gabler?
