The Challenge: CBS - Season 1 (Cast Spoilers Discussion)

 

Im happy to see the cast (Don't know them admittedly) love the representation and its finally a season that's not white washed, but I wish they had more racial diversity other than just Derek. All seasons have hugely lacked 

This is a horrible cast the majority are a snooze fest

Y'all keep going on and on about bb23 how many times have you been warned that cbs typically casts from recent seasons? Remember Survivor Fans vs Favorites 2? Half the favorites were from Redumbshit island and south Pacific aka the two worst seasons at the time. Then Second Chances the entire final 6 was made up of Cagayan and SJDS. That's just how it goes. They don't go too back in time and the ones they really wanted said no. If anything they probably love the idea of the Cookout and specifically wanted them all to reunite as a group to see what they can do this time. Remember Survivor Micronesia alliance if Cirie, James, Amanda, Parvati all being invited back 4 seasons later for HvV?

Why does this surprise everyone? They quite literally lost the future rights to that show lol

This played a factor after BMP/MTV Entertainment Studios send the final cast list to CBS

Figured as much and makes sense. Frankly I was surprised to see as many love islanders as we're still getting with that in mind.

 

Well if CBS goes the route of bringing back people like MTV does for future seasons, some of the LI'ers have potential to be recurring cast members like Cinco and Justine.

This show is literally The Challenge CBS lol they aren't going to want to promote some other network's show under the CBS moniker long term.  I'm sure we'll see them on the MTV version though.  

They probably were casting this under the assumption they were still going to have Love Island long term and then ended up losing the show to Peacock during the casting process.

I have no idea but she's just very bubbly and petite which makes people assume she's weak. Love island challenges were weird so there's no way to know for sure.

Very likely 2 winners that will compete on the war of the world tournament against Argentina, Australia and UK Champs

do you know if that will be just a single episode final or an actual season?

Seems that is how they are plotting their course.  It has to be deliberate and it is popular action by majority.

To be fair, after this season, they don't really have to promote them under "Love Island" anymore...they could just do "Challenge CBS season 1" or something if they really want them on future seasons.

I wanted to see Shannon because she seems strong minded and I think the Challenge is really lacking in that department nowadays when it comes to women.  

is there any chance that those that are dropped/alternates can be on the MTV one?  Or is MTV challenge just reserved for the usual try hard vets and random international rookies? I really want people on the MTV one that will shake things up but these spinoffs suggest to me that it will never happen unless a random international rookie is able to make it happen.

Pink Rose said they weren't looking at experienced challengers for this so i wonder if that applies to the UK version so no Joss, Theo or Jenny??
