at the end of the day it's about what sell & that season won't get people to sign up for subscriptions- sure it might be decent but that's not all P+ is looking for. I think two more old school seasons could work before jumping ahead definitely with the current hype LA have right now they could continue the nostalgia wave if they can get most of the important pieces together
Sadly more recent seasons would probably bring in more subscribers to paramount. Wouldn't be surprised at a real world EXPlosion homecoming or skeletons
The whole point of this show is taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane and the old casts have been delivering. People are acting like this show is somehow not working or doing poorly and should move on quickly. What is that based on? The first season got an Emmy nomination and the creator said it was both a critical and commercial success. This second cast is probably headed toward an Emmy nod and the show has gotten a ton of press. Last week they had a big viral moment. The formula is working and they shouldn’t change it. If the goal is new subscribers realistically only Tami, Mike and probably CT could do that. The newer seasons couldn’t even bring new viewers to MTV. If the goal is to tap into loyal old school MTV fans than they should keep delivering old casts. If the goal is making good TV they have already done that. My suggestion is to try to get every old cast that they can, upload the missing seasons and do a catch up show for the seasons they can’t get together before moving on.

3. San Fran - Not likely to happen. Mohammed and Judd have gone on record as saying they (and in Judd’s case, Pam as well) were not contacted and would be hesitant to agree to do it.
4. London - Not likely to happen. The season was one of the least popular and Mike confirmed that they hadn’t been contacted. The cast members have recently reunited via Zoom (minus Jay) though, so they might be interested.
5. Miami - Possible, but not likely. Dan implied on Instagram that they were not contacted and that they’d need all seven castmembers, but now there are rumors that they have been contacted? Most of the cast would probably be up for it, based on their past participation in reunions.
6. Boston - Somewhat likely? Cast has been contacted and all want to do it except for Sean. If they could get Sean, then there is a good chance it would happen. If not, it depends on if Bunim-Murray/MTV will circle back around after other seasons or just continue moving forward with other seasons.
7. Seattle - Possible, but not likely. Nathan confirmed the cast was contacted and implied that himself, David, Rebecca and Irene were interested, but that no-one knows about Janet, Lindsay or Stephen.
8. Hawaii - Possible, but not likely. Amaya and Teck confirmed the cast was contacted and everyone agreed (aside from Matt) until Colin and Kaia decided not to do it at the last minute. I wish they would do some type of Where Are They Now where they get every cast member they can to commentate on iconic moments from their season but I don't need an 8 episode Homecoming for every season.

Honestly, not surprised at that. Although Melissa would bring some entertaining messiness to a ‘Real World Homecoming: Miami’ season, I think they could still successfully do it without her. I’d bet she’s got more skeletons in her closet than she would want us to be aware of, and if we got a season without her but everyone else, it could absolutely work IMO. We’d have Flora, Dan, Cynthia, Sarah, Joe and Mike, which I think would still be a great cast.

Someone needs to get Flora to convince Melissa to do it if it's in fact her. She did Reunion 2000 because of Flora.
