VMAs for the first time got under a million viewers on the MTV broadcast. It was 900 k. So that's basically the max number we could get in 2021. Maybe everyone cut their cable after Double Agents or whoever owns a Nielson box and was a challenge fan died and numbers dropped.

THIS! TRL, Singled Out, Spring Break, Say What Karaoke, Daria, NEXT, Room Raiders, Boiling Point, Rob & Big, Making The Band, Making The Video, ugh it was so iconic!!!!!!! Now it's Ridiculousness 23/7 and 5 poorly edited and cast reality shows. What a freaking shame.
i always find duo team mission boring and last too long because once youve seen one pair do whatever they have to do, watching all the others do the exact same thing becomes dull fast.
i wish they did more individual or group missions where they all compete at the same time head to head. Although im not sure the missions really have that much of a factor on ratings.
they did tons of these back in the day & they were more polarizing seeing everyone go head to head now everything is timed & easy to rig

they had countdown shows & morning marathon of 30 minute dating competition shows -- lifestyle shows with celebrities -- the prime time shows were actually must see cause they built hype around them.
now even with the decline in ratings overall they've done relatively nothing to capitalize off their brand & overall list of iconic programming they once had & try something new. The shows they currently are holding onto are either on life support (Teen Mom, Floribama), under horrible management & only has sustained due to cult fan base (The Challenge), sad attempt revivals that aren't needed (The Hills, JSFV, Cribs, True Crime) -- and then there's Ridiculousness that does barely 200K an episode but is so cheap that it could get away with it & live on.
Its going against survivor premiere tonight and even though the challenge doesnt repeat its episodes im still tempted to watch survivor lol
I expect big numbers for Survivor tonight cause of the long hiatus & people discovering the show on Netflix that are now curious -- safe to say most will be watching & not SLA
Yeah I think the challenge overall viewership and the demo will be down due to survivor new season and aew having a big episode of dynamite that's being in held in nyc at Arthur Ashe stadium
MTV has literally killed itself with the Ridiculousness replays. It's insane that 95% of your broadcasting time is dedicated to an awful America's Funniest Home Videos retread. They deserve to go under,.
Yikes thats a bad sign that the to be continued to the biggest drama all season dropped 100k and then the preview for next week looks boring too. I didnt see any other interesting things in the trailer so this season is gonna occupy the top 10 spot of lowest ratings lol
if I see Michele Fitzgerald on this confirmed next season and production didnt look into what people ACTUALLY want to see, the ratings will only get worse. Dont say I didnt tell ya..

absolutely nothing you said is correct in this, she's widely considered one of the worst winners in survivor history (though she did decent in WaW) in another just awful season of survivor. she can go on AYTO if she just wants to hookup, they need to move away from these hookups no one cares about
i guarantee if shes back we'll get some 8 minute segment about emmanuel and her while everyone turns the channel to some bravo show
only survivors who should be back are michaela, natlaie a and maybe jay, .. though i like a bunch of people on this seasons 41
they are like between 250-300k usually which is terrible. But the show is probably cheap to make as their content is just other people's videos
