I never got the hype with TJ.
He's like Julie Chen. He's not a particularly good host. He's just a familiar staple of the show and casual fans mistake that as being good at the job. TBH, this show can survive without him. People thought the show would nosedive without Bananas and DA still got high ratings.
The show didn't need John but they wouldn't risk not having John Wes or CT. It may not matter but it's a risk
Vevmo knows TJ isn't great but shows don't really change hosts often. Julie is a great example. But TJ plays the role they want perfectly which is why he's even doing All-Stars and apparently the new spinoff

I say this because even when he isn't doing the challenge he is hosting some show that nobody cares to see him on lol. He is always making a bag tbh. However, the reason he is always targeted and sent into elimination so much is really because nobody likes him like that and because he is a threat in a final
The show can survive without him, it survived before he started to dominate. Honestly, I do think the show would survive if none of their champs came back. It was doing okay before Johnny, it does okay in seasons without Johnny. Same for the other champs who have taken breaks (Darrell, CT, Wes). The show doesn't "need" any of them, however there are some that it def would not hurt to have on the show.

I could honestly see this being teams and set up with Kaycee, Nany, Nelson, and Tori losing. It is kinda weird they're all out with nobody else and that other team would definitely crush them in a final. I honestly think this makes the most sense of all the theories flying around.
Why would they have uneven sexes on teams? That makes no sense. CT wasn't with them in the airport last year either and the internationals probably had a different flight. WOW2 also had uneven sexes for teams. Team UK only had 5 people, 2 being girl. Team US had more people than that, but had 3 men and 3 girls. Sometimes depending on the format of the game, it can come down to it being uneven. Team US had more people, but they also had more girls. It doesn't have to mean anything. In WOW2 team US was the one with all the big good guys and more people but UK still won. So having an uneven group wouldn't be a concern with the show-its proven to not be in the past. Remember battle of the sexes? Another user explained it perfectly, stating that Logan and Emanuel may have gotten purged or something.
