You just proved my point. Luck, whether good or bad, plays a huge factor in winning. I don't think players like Kyle, Cory, or even Nelson are as good as CT. But if it took someone as good as CT that long to win, it makes sense that it would take another good (but not as good as CT) player longer to win.
Another interesting random fact. CT was 32 when he got his first win. Most of his competition are younger or just now reaching that age. On average, I've noticed that most of the winners have been skewing older for the last several seasons.
Challenges today are less luck based though. You can't say that the people who are winning don't deserve it lately.
There's more luck in big team challenges but we haven't been having those. The only reason CT wasn't a champ for so long was because of those big team challenges and because he DQed 3 times of the 8 lol
I agree you have to be a good player to win (whether socially or physically) but there is still plenty of luck involved. Janky eliminations have sent the better competitor home plenty of times. Production not being consistent with game rules have given players an advantage. It's no coincidence that Ashley and Tori have lasted longer this season because they caught a lucky break and don't have to go get a skull. Amber is an elite runner, but does she win with any other guy there to compensate for her puzzle skills?
For the record, I think anyone who makes the final is deserving, even in the earlier seasons. Can't blame players for playing the game that production set up for them.

i think Logan has a better shot based on his abilities, hobbies, and training that have been proven to be useful in finals like swimming, surfing, kayaking, hiking, running, and biking. That combined with the fact that pink said he's been performing well and that he has proven to be smart on survivor, means he is a threat based on what we know.
