Its the potential ratio of season 1 people to new OGs on season 2 that worries me. I think repeating majority of the cast and not rotating them ruined the main show.
True but most of these people know each other even those not on season 1
its not that they all know each other, its that it becomes too predictable when the majority of the same cast is used repeatedly. Its interesting to see the dynamics when they bring majority of people they havent seen in 10/20 years, vs having the majority being people who were on the first season.

Yeah I'm all for this too. I just don't think its realistic for season 2. After S2 we might see more of a rotation. Though do we really think they wouldn't keep inviting back people that make their lives easier or minority cast members that they have a limited pool of?
Like Mark will probably be on any season he wants to be. Jemmye is likely cheap and narrates for them. Beth is Beth so if she's willing she's on.
As long as it stays with RW/RR/FM I'm fine with repeats. It's better than the alternative IMO

We're obviously going to see Mark and Beth but 12 is quite a bit. I'd even be ok if they did returnees vs newbies (aka people from season 1 vs all new crop of season 2)
Will all of these returnees even be able to get time off from work again? I thought a big part of this was the limited filming schedule so people could use their vacation time to go. How many who have jobs can realistically take another 2-3 weeks off in the same year?
I honestly don't want to see more than 5-6 people come back. If they have over 100+ people willing to do it in sure they can get a lot on that weren't on season one. Mainly people who could've been on

Most people with real jobs get 3+ weeks vacation and with most companies you can take an unpaid leave. This isn't even including carrying over vacation time. Given the app fee I dony see much of a problem

some jobs you're able to take multiple vacations a year, so certain people may be able to go again

i know Yes is a lecturer at Berkley as well as the architecture he does, but I'm not sure if that's a fulltime gig or if that will even come into play if school isnt in session yet.
i could be wrong but I think mostly everyone other than the ones previously mentioned can do it freely because they work for themselves, but they may not want to leave their families for that long in the same year again, especially if it overlaps with the start of the school year.
I think where they film may play a huge part in it as well, if they have to quarantine for x amount of days.

Honestly, depending on the cash I think most would be willing to leave for another 2-3 weeks. A lot of parents travel constantly for their jobs or they're at work all day and only get to see their kids for a few hours in the evening/on the weekends. These people are probably going to be able to make as much in 6-8 weeks than they do typically in a year even if they don't win.
