She never said what the rules were all she said is it pissed her off bc why would everyone have their own individual math problem if only one person need to win it. it's the same as checkpoint one. To me, it sounds like just normal stupid rules created a misunderstanding.
The math checkpoint was similar to the first one where they competed as individuals but the first place person got the prize. And the prize for both was the option of switching partners. They left that first check point in the order they got there, not because of who won. It just so happened that the pair that got there first also won each individually.
Then there were checkpoints they did as a together in pairs like eating and puzzles that impacted when they could leave the checkpoints. If the math check point was meant to be about the pair where their times counted together, they would have made them compete together like with the eating and puzzles.
The only reason they made them all try to finish was because it determined when they could go to sleep. But Leroy and Amber timed out. The sign in the cave said that's all the math was about.
I can understand being annoyed the rules weren't super clear but nothing sounds like it was rigged. Kam is one of my favs so I hope she gets over this and returns quick.

30 minute headstart doesnt matter when amber and ct were said to be over an hour ahead of everyone so even if it was only a 5 minute headstart they still would have lost. Kam and nany were neck the neck the entire time playing for 2nd place which is embarrassing for kam.
After watching that final I think if all the other teams had a head start before CT/Amber the result still wouldn't have changed. If the outcome was close I would understand the frustration but none of those teams were beating them regardless

But with the math thing, its clear that was just another check point like the first one when Amber got to choose. It actually doesn't make sense to me to assume that if they do the problems individually its based off of a team has to win. If it took both, they would have been doing it together, like the other puzzles. I just think it sucked for her because her and Cory got done together first so it would have been convenient if thats what it took.
