I love it so far and I'm glad it's prolly six episodes and not some drawn out 10 part special. + Heather needs to be hosting reunions or something that's a commentary legend right there.

Heather would be an amazing host--her holding the candle when Becky is talking about the ouija board/John Lennon was awesome.  Julie's reaction was amazing.

Watching the second episode now and it's so difficult to take Eric seriously--maybe it's just me.

Hell, they should consider having Heather & Julie hang out for a long weekend yearly and film it   lol

Heather and Julie are both icons! This has me wanting to watch the original season lmao, is it worth it/entertaining? The furthest ive watched back of RW is Vegas 1

I think so.. but just like any original season of a show, expect it to be a slower pace. But it's real and raw, which is what I love most about it. And I feel like they kept that feeling with this reunion.

I agree with that - this reunion (I've only seen the first episode so far) has the same vibe as the original show.  It's interesting to watch because they really didn't know what reality tv was since  they started it.  So they're not trying to be crazy or fake for camera time - pardon the pun but they were just 'real'. lol.

I'm always surprised they never got Julie or Kevin on a challenge.  Andre I kind of see why, he was not into it lol.

im surprised Heather only did one. She was my favorite part of Challenge 2000.

Kevin hated everything about MTV and wanted to distance himself from it so I'm not surprised by that. If the challenge started before the late 90s we may have seen Julie but I feel like she had also moved on.

I didn't realize Becky was so cracked out I'm hollering

Julie and Heather continue to be amazing as usual

Julie was married and starting a family when The Challenge started or else I bet she would have at least done the OG 6 vs 6. She seems to have loved her experience.

8 minutes in and Julie is everything I hope she'd turn into in life. The hands down greatest reality tv casting of all-time. Becky just really isn't all there, it's so uncomfortable listening to her.

Dead at Julie shutting down the cameraman. What a legend lol.

Becky was really off... she's a typical Karen. Fail to listen, comprehend, and empathize.. then turn into the victim and claim she's being attacked.

Wow Becky is horrible

Already stopped after episode 1 lol. Is the long hair guy finally speaking his mind like he said he would after avoiding conflict in 92?

I don't entirely blame Becky for feeling how she does.  Back in the original days of The Real World (and they mentioned this on that history of reality TV thing), production placed a magazine that had basically adult pictures of Eric in them on a table in the house and the cast was furious that they interfered, so production promised to never interfere with the reality in that way again.  Now 30 years later they randomly show a video of Kevin calling Becky a racist for...reasons, I'm not entirely sure why, and now she feels that the show blatantly showed them that specific conversation with the sole purpose of using her to make a political statement instead of using it to spark a conversation.

I feel like either there's context missing here, otherwise I can't blame someone for feeling the way she did.  She should listen of course, but I didn't see anything to warrant the discussion even starting in the first place.

I know what you mean but they knew that they would be seeing those old clips to have those types of discussion from the get go. They knew they weren't going to be sitting there doing nothing for that week.

Agreed if she wasn't prepared for it that's on her. This was clearly going to be discussed. I'm guessing she thought Kevin would apologize for accusing her of being racist and when that didn't happen she did what Becky always did when caught off guard. She handled the situation poorly.

I understand why Becky was upset but she handled it so poorly. The way she kept cutting off Kevin was so uncomfortable. She refused to listen and her points made no sense. The African dance story was so cringeworthy. Becky did everything wrong and the clips of her talking about her home in the South of France did no favors but it was hilarious. And I can't with Eric and his spirit guide stuff lol.

Becky is CRACKED OUT l mfaoo she was giving me Jo Rhodes vibes with the way she dipped

Julie may just be my favorite casting ever

Becky is CRACKED OUT l mfaoo she was giving me Jo Rhodes vibes with the way she dipped

She was no Jo but the whole not even telling them, telling Norman she wasn't his friend, and then complaining no one was helping her with her bags was hilarious.

This is honestly one of my favorite seasons of real world even if it's not an official one, I'm obsessed. Becky was crazy but wow what amazing tv. Julie and Heather need need need to do a show of some sort, wow what amazing real personalities

She didn't go fully off the wall like Jo did but her whole attitude reminded me of Jo lol

Just curious, when do these episodes get released? Midnight?

Have y'all watched Beth's instagram reactions to the show? Kellyanne, Syrus, and Ruthie watched the first episode together on love. Shady they cut the camera when Kevin came up!

Becky is very tone-deaf and def had shades of Karen, but I don't agree with how Kevin came at her in 1992. He was not composed in many of his "discussions" and its unfair when thats brought up that he pulls the race card. I would NEVER come at a woman that I have known for 2 months the way Kevin came at Julie and Becky in 1992. His points were correct, but his delivery is terrible.

it's not his job to coddle adults no matter what year it is, he said what he said.

Why should he put in extra work to make sure you a grown *** adult don't have your feelings hurt when he's spitting facts?

No one said anything about coddling, but there is a happy medium. What Kevin is trying to do is educate, and when you educate there are steps you need to do to ensure that what you are trying to teach STICKS. One way is showing respect to the person that you're trying to teach. If you don't respect your pupil, they feel that, and odds are that whatever you want them to learn will be rejected. If you're not choosing the right words to make your message stick, you're just talking into the wind and making people upset. Kevin has clearly learned that now, but he didn't know it back then.

He's not their teacher, he felt misunderstood and unheard, and it's very easy to get frustrated living with white people who want to act like everything you're living and feeling is invalid because "racism doesn't exist". He got fed up and who knows they may have had several talks that were calm but Becky (present day) clearly showed she's not open to hearing Kevin's pov so I'm just going to assume that's how she was in 1992. Especially since her only alternative was to leave. She's ignorant and wants to remain that way.
