Can't believe they actually put Jemmye lying in bed with a guy in the trailer, they're supposed to be trying to get people to watch not throw up. I'm genuinely curious though who the target audience is, are they just hoping challenge fans care enough to pay to watch this? I feel like there's a possibility this is a complete flop, no fault of the actual show, mostly just because basically nobody has Paramount+
Last week we were all guessing which "friends" had a falling out and nobody wanted it to be or believed it'd be Katie and Trishelle, and it ended up being in the trailer lol. Seriously what did Trishelle do/say to Katie?
I'm probably alone but it doesn't shock me at all and I'm glad Katie saw the real Trishelle
My issue is with that logic, someone like Evelyn could never do these, but someone who never even appeared on a challenge but was on rr/rw could be. wasnt the whole name change because people like jonna and jemmye were cast because the iconic females they wanted said no (like veronica) ? You cant be mad at the name change when you're part of the reason it happened.
i think they went with all stars cause "the challenge: ogs" would be very unprofessional and ugly looking in trailers, news articles etc.
While I do agree, it didnt stop MTV from using og for teen mom.
personally, i prefer "the challenge old school". Then I wouldnt have to read all the comments complaining how these arent all stars. They could even go with "the challenge: blast from the past" (even though its corny), "the challenge: the comeback" or "the challenge: vets redemption". Those names are vague enough that people wont complain whose an OG or all star

The name change was never over that? That's an assumption ppl created on their mind. The name change was because it's more marketable and the first season of this show back in ancient times was called All stars. Technically it was never even called OGs that's how it was pitched to production when they brought this idea to them. Then they twitched around to make it work in 2021.

I feel like Paramount is 4/5 years to late. This streaming service by ViacomCBS for their channels should have happenned years ago. The rebrand has been a total flopped for me so far but I can see it getting some momentum at some point once the start releasing more shows.

well yeah that and the fact that MTV already has a show with OG in it like you said, so they probably didn't want any confusion

I feel like Veronica meant to include FM but that's a guess. She's saying no AYTO EOTB BB Survivor etc
I definitely want this, but does he actually have a say in that?
i mean.. those are the ONLY shows considered ogs. i doubt we'll see melissa or hunter pop up next season (if there is a next) this is kinda just saying the obvious. isn't that the only shows on right now?

yes but veronica seems to think they may use the international cast in the future

they did have a uk challenger back in the day, i forgot her name but she was the first challenger from the uk actually. so that's the only way I can see them casting internationally

Piggy and Sharon
But I don't think Veronica knows anything she's just worried about it taking the same path as the real show.

exactly. She thinks the name being all stars signifies that the focus won't be on the OG casting in later seasons, and how will this spinoff be different from the normal seasons if so
I wish they were doing more promo for this show though. Since it looks like they wont release all the seasons, they should have a casting special with the best clips of each challenger, as well as their stats. At the very least, youtube videos about it.
i honestly dont know how the rights work to their content, but it would be cool to see either these OG castmembers watching clips of what the show is nowadays with their commentary, or have the new faces of the show watch old seasons to provide commentary.
And I know theres probably plenty of reasons why that wont happen, but just saying...as a long time fan, I'd really enjoy seeing that.

Its airing in 2 weeks and we got hardly any promo. I think they are pretty dumb for not doing an special with a new trailer to air next week after the Double agents episode to attract the newer viewers to subscribe to their streaming service. Make bananas or Ct with someone like Tori/Kam/Nany the hosts of the special so current viewers will watch. Hopefully they atleast released the first 10 mins with a trailer after next week episode.
I feel like they are Lowkey banking that the challenge and drag race have a cult like fan based that they will subscribe no matter what.
has anything challenge or real world related ever went viral on twitter or anything? (not counting da'vonne bb moments) the only thing i can remember is ceejai & nia fights that go viral every other month

Thing is Jemmye first started on season 23, only 3 seasons before AYTO showed up, so she's really not much more OG than they are regardless of what the name of her first show was. Regardless though I can see them sticking to just RW/RR/FM but I definetly see us getting newer people if there is future seasons, Tony for example I really think they'll use soon

Fair but she's right at same time
Where is the complaint?

People will always complain...
So Gamer said that TJ's Hope to see you never wasn't directed towards Arissa so who could he have said it to? Did someone else quit?
No one else quit lol

Every female on the cast follows Jonna, except Beth. That doesn't fit well with my fantasy so Beth should fix that

Apparently Beth lost the elimination because of Syrus.
