Curious for those that watch season 1 did they ever release that reunion they showed as flashback clicks? Or that's new footage that they have never released before?
It's the premiere episode of RW: Los Angeles on CBS All Access.
San Francisco would be such a good season to do a Homecoming season... Season 3 was just incredibly eye opening for so many reasons. It would be hard to do a reunion of that though
can't wait to hopefully watch this by tomorrow - forgot to sign up with the discount so I e-mailed them in hopes they'll honor it lol
So Pink - what are the chances that if All Stars goes over well Heather B and Julie will be gracing us with their presence on the spin off challenge? lol

I'm torn on San Francisco. Would any of them live with Puck? Would Rachel be willing to go on to defend her conservative views especially to Pam & Judd? That season was really centered around Pedro--without him I just don't see it working. Boston is truthfully the season I think they need to do although no clue if they could get them.
I haven't finished watching but it puts such a damper on it that Eric isn't with them. The energy Heather and Julie bring is so amazing. They are both sooo authentic, real, and fun. I want to be real life friends with them haha. I need them to have a spin-off, podcast, or something!

It's awesome to see them having such a genuine friendship 29 years later.

They wouldn't cast Puck for legal reasons? Him being a criminal, locked up for stalking and all. Rachel might see it as an opportunity to push her agenda as everybody else are dems. Re Pedro, the Zamoras and Winnicks are still very close and I can see there being a familiy member or two to step in and tell his story. Worse comes to worse I think Judd, Pam, Cory, Mo, and the Zamoras is still a powerful season. And just the SPECTRE of Puck is enough, because he will be a looming topic.

id also love for them to revisit Pedro and Sean's lives

Yeah, I not interested in what you're describing. That's not a real reunion IMO. 4 of the 7 and the family of one--they can keep that.
That episode was REALLY good... like REALLY REALLY good. I'm not even nostalgic for RW1 - it came out before I was born and I watched it for the first time last year. But there's just something crazy special about the reunion of these people after so long and seeing how much has changed and how little has changed.
Sad Eric couldn't be there physically though.
I think the episode actually did a great job of making it palatable to new viewers. You got a sense of who people were and who they are now, and the old footage was interspersed really well to weave a good narrative. The editing and pacing was done well too. I'm really impressed!
The difference between this OG cast discussing heavy topics in this first episode so authentically, and that facebook cast that was clearly trying to push an agenda is just a perfect example of how far Real World has fallen off..

It's just organic and genuine, rather than coming from a place of "I'm supposed to talk about this stuff!" I loved Julie in the cab talking about "I'm nervous we're not gonna give production what they want"... it's really a sign that they're there to be THEMSELVES and just by virtue of them being interesting, dynamic people we really are going to get good interactions and footage out of them.
Definitely enjoying this a lot more already than any of the more recent seasons. I feel like this is what they were trying to do with Atlanta but editing partly screwed that season over, among some other things.

Julie in the cab was the moment I knew this was going to work. It's amazing that she's been away from reality tv for nearly 3 decades yet immediately provided what was needed. Julie might be their beat casting choice ever.
Finally watched, Heather was gold. She is so much fun! I just did a rewatch of their original season and was curious why we never saw Heather's viewpoint on racism and Kevin. 30 years later it was finally explained. This is such good tv and fascinating how they really are having the same conversations 30 years later and they are just as relevant. Everything about this was perfect minus Eric not being in the house. I love his and Heather's dynamic.

The first episode is reason enough to start pumping out more of these Homecoming seasons. Emotional, heartfelt, and still topical af

Puck allegedly lives off the grid so he'd have to like pay taxes if he did the show. So unlikely.
just watched the first episode (havent watched season 1 yet) but jeez Heather B is TV GOLDDDD
Lol I was referring to Vegas in that post. Yeah Andre was nice but ain't do shit on original New York.
Im so excited to hear this is good! I'm gonna watch it later
Didnt Puck get charged with domestic violence? I don't think MTV would want someone like that on this platform.
He was also kicked out of the house. I'm not sure they would bring people back that were but I could be wrong.
Didnt he also wield a machete at production on Battle of the Sexes? I'm sure with insurance these days he would be considered a liability. Lol
I just started watching the first episode and I love it just 5 minutes in--the intro was great and Julie crying in the cab. Amazing
Heather truly makes this show

I am so impressed with this series so far. I can't express how excited I am for the next episodes and hopeful for future homecomings.
Are future homecomings guaranteed?
