Doing some research for pink on a funny LT story, fishing back through Colin's blog and found this great account of Beth. LOVE that she's back and hope she does well, but she sure is disliked by her peers. She certainly has no friend in Ruthie;

"Ruthie was waitressing to pay the bills before she left for Jamaica—she wanted to have a few hundred bucks in her pocket when she showed up to the challenge. She needed a ride to one of her last days of work, so she asked Beth if she could provide such a ride. Beth said that she could definitely give her a ride… “I’ll be there at 4:30 to pick you up for your 5:00 shift.” Beth showed up and hour late and cost Ruthie her reputation and a day’s pay. Not the move of a good friend. According to Ruthie, Beth was always down to meet when she thought there was money to be made, but never included Ruthie in her social invitations. Ruthie was never invited to parties or get-togethers that Beth was privy to. Couple all of these things with the fact that Beth just barged in on a nearly incapacitated Ruthie, suffering from incredible pain, who happens to be in the process of trying to squeeze one out, all in the hopes trying to buy herself another day on an MTV challenge… and you have the following equation…
Gladys=really nice person who everyone got along with in Jamaica Beth=psycho Beth + challenge=people having a bad time Beth + mental stabalizers=not a bad idea Ruthie in the inner circle=Beth packing her bags and going home because she is being voted off of mtv’s battle of the sexes Well, at least Beth got her wish of not wanting to be the first person voted off of the Battle of the Sexes… second worst isn’t that bad, right? Then again, your teammates chose a pregnant woman over you in a physical competition. That’s gotta sting!"

I've "known" V1man for a long time and respect a lot of what he says--I've defended him prior in this very thread. I also know what happens when he's close to someone and how things can get "twisted". That's all. Just like anyone else would do.

I've "known" V1man for a long time and respect a lot of what he says--I've defended him prior in this very thread. I also know what happens when he's close to someone and how things can get "twisted". That's all. Just like anyone else would do.
I try to be factual or otherwise objective and clear when only offering my opinion. Obviously, that opinion may be persuaded somewhat by the opinions of those who privately offer me information; but, for things of significance, I always second source info I post, just as I tried to do when I was the senior mod here over a decade ago.
Is Shauvoun really a bad casting choice though? I mean yeah she was absolutely terrible, but in her few episodes she provided more than a lot of these people lol. Her "popping" her implant, hooking up with CT, fighting with Johnny, fighting with Laurel. For not being around long, she had moments.
She not very OG and she's one of the worst Challengers ever, but some comic relief/drama is needed for this too
He can still prove useful if there's a juicy Beth storyline. If not, he was a waste. Time will tell
