I never have watched the show for athletic ability, it's always been about interesting people. If it's an old school style challenge with more fun missions I'm 100% for it.

Saying Veronica on Dirty 30 was a flop is laughable. She showed up that season and did amazing. She helped her team win multiple missions, had her lovely Leroy moment, great commentary, and also never got sent home in an elimination all three seasons (always that damn purge took her out but dirty 30 she got freaking far) - closest was Aneesa but injury stopped that, she was doing well too. Queen V is everything <3
I hate to be a negative nancy but the biggest reason why MTV wouldn't touch this is because who really knows about these old schoolers compared to their current demographic? even my friends who used to watch the show don't remember people like darrell or landon they remember CT and wes and bananas. coral i feel like is a household name but no one knows who these people are that we alll care about. it would really be like another freshmeat season and like someone mentioned no one wants to watch a bunch of older people who have grown and the current audiance wants people who hook up and cause drama. would i love to see this? yes. would vevemo love to see this? yes. would most of the challenge audiance want to see this? they dont give AF

Even if we overlook all of the non cast members that are on today (love you Debut Album for always fighting the inclusion of non RW/RR people), the new focus on supreme athletic ability is part of what ruined this show. Big Brother 10 had an older cast and it was the best season. Survivor 40 had an older cast and they delivered. Real Housewives and a dozen other Bravo shows are based on the drama of middle aged people. So take a seat.
I think production will just take this and make it into something they think would work. Maybe a spinoff Old School vs Stars or Old School vs New School. Idk if they have enough trust on people that haven't been on TV for so long to provide good content/get viewers.

this. I think too many of you are expecting challenges that they do nowadays. Ive been rewatching old seasons lately and some of the challenges are pretty easy for anyone to compete it in. They had to get a specific car out from behind a bunch of other cars (similar to this recent season), going to a flea market and selling random things to make the most money, who can hold their breath under water the longest, a game of simon says, and there was even an elimination where they had to drink a glass of milk and cookie each round then spin around and whoever puked first lost. Yes, that will disappoint the casual fans who arent familiar with the OG seasons, but again that could easily be solved by having an OG marathon so they will be interested in seeing the change in their abilities in 20 years. Market it as the evolution of the challenges, a throwback to how the show originally was. Have current cast members doing those commercial promos about the OG challengers that they looked up to, who they know they wouldnt get along with, etc. It just has to have the right people and be marketed correctly to work.
