Tbh there's a segment of the audience that thinks the show is a sport because they're losers.
Lmao let the hurt go my friend
Surprised how consistent this season has been feel like most seasons the ratings dip eventually.
It probably would have if we weren't mid pandemic with nothing else to watch and half the country still quarantining.
But aren't other shows like Teen Mom and Jersey Shore not doing well? Idk how other shows on other networks are doing during this quarentine but I feel like the challenge has loyal viewers that I guess just haven't fallen off like those other MTV shows have. Not yet anyway lol

Yes, the ratings overall and demo for teen mom/Jersey shore went down during the pandemic compared to previous seasons before COVI.
Both pull good demos still but as of now based on ratings their main shows rank as this based on their more recent seasons:

1. The Challenge

4. Floribama
5. Siesta key
6. The hills
That makes sense. I would think after so many seasons Jersey Shore and Teen Mom is probably getting stale. I think at this point the challenge has gained such a loyal following that people will keep tuning in regardless like Big Brother and Survivor. Guess the pandemic may not have much to do with it but we'll see how next season goes.
Pink, what you think of what Paulie and Cara said? Funny how they don't mention WOTW2 ratings. I would also attribute WOTW1 ratings to the cast people brought in like Turbo.

Turbo had 0% to do with the ratings. He might have become very likeable and a fan favorite but no one tuned in to see a guy that had never heard of from a show they never knew existed.
Cara Maria with the backhand comments as always. Who gives a **** bc its still doing good in the demos at the end of the day
Always! lol Literally any time I've heard anything about her this season it's her saying something negative about the show, cast and now ratings. She's mute about WOTW2 though which was disliked by most people solely because of her and her alliance.
I always found it tacky/goofy when castmembers talk about ratings in a way that makes it seem like they had something to do with it.
War of the worlds 1 ratings dipped throughout the season (every season doesnt maintain the exact numbers throughout) the worse dipped this season was 850k so far meanwhile last season was 570k and the season prior 763k.
Usually premieres and finales does well.
For some reason ratings of war of the worlds cant be found on wikepedia but here they are:

WOTW1 had great numbers for the final but I do not think they got over a million viewers in any episode before then based on memory. The reason numbers ascended towards the end on that season is because it is one of the better newer seasons and casuals fans loved it and a lot of die hard fans as well. This season has already had 3 or 4 episodes go over a million. Most since BOTE2 I believe. Number 1 in the key demo for 4 straight weeks. Cara is fooling herself if she thinks her and Paulie are any kind of "draw". like lololol the CHALLENGE ITSELF and the brand is what keeps people coming back.

Wow that is a huge spike from episode 15 to the finale. I do wonder what all the circumstances surrounding the finale that led to the spike to over a million.
I think it's funny how they are basically taking a crap on the cast. Also by their argument the shows they are competing against would have more viewers due to pandemic. But it's the "new" Cara.

Someone has to fill the annoying troll role on challenge social media now that Dee is just a ghost and a memory by now.
I'm sure I'm not the only one but competition shows start to fizzle out to me towards the middle. My attention span is short and that's not just with the challenge that's with BB survivor and all the other competition shows I watch
Once Big T Jenna & Kailah all left in the same episode I had no desire to keep up besides the Nany & Kaycee vs Bayleigh fight
I always losed interest around like episode 7 especially on the longest season they have been doing since dirty 30. Maybe I have the attention span of a 9 year old or over doing spoilers knowing what's going to happen makes me not care as we get deep in the season.
Call me weird but I usually enjoy the show more when they are filming doing spoilers and we are speculating everything plus hearing who is out.
The Ratings talk is always so dumb because in that chart it literally already organizes it for you. From 1-10, 1 being the number one show on Cable for that day and Green Squares being good. Theres a reasons the shows on top have the Greener Squares.
It's the number one show on Wednesdays every week. Which is unfortunate because as far as I can tell from little I've watched it sucks. We want this to not be true because it deserves to fail. But it's just not failing.
in conclusion the chart is super easy to read Idk why everyone (and I see this for multiple shows) makes it show hard
Just for MTV nah.. For The Challenge it only has Bloodlines, WOTW2, and TM and no Real World.. It pretty much just has the shows that are playing now.. Team Mom, Siesta Key, Jersey Shore, etc..

I am asking in general not just MTV. Do they have anything good on there?

Not really to be honest! they try to include shows that's airing now or recently in the mix so if you're looking for current episodes that you may miss then get it and if you're looking for older shows that we really never see then don't get it.
If they can keep this up I can see this continuing for many years but start pulling more from survivor and other shows please. There's only so much BB I can take
I wonder where that big bump came from. Funny how some cast members not even on the season said things about the ratings falling just for it to rise the following week after

This has nothing to do w it. Most places are somewhat open. I live in Michigan, one of the most shut down states and still have tons of stuff to do. Since stuff opened up ppl have gone out and not stayed in to watch tv

The seasons Cara both " won " did absolutely TERRIBLE in ratings she should sit back and eat her food

With Viacom now officially the head, This will stay.
big brother people and survivor people are plenty. They should be on this momentum and do a road rules with half new people and half older ones.
851k last week to 937k this week
