All that plus the casuals all think that Bananas, CT, and Wes are legends so MTV is pretty much forced to cast them to avoid the fan outcry of them not being on a season
The challenge is the 5th professional sport basically. Everyone is missing and craving sports. The challenge hitting a million directly reflects thaqt.

The Challenge is MTV number 1 show for this week something that hasn't happenned since the introduction of both of those popular franchises in like 2009-2010.

I don't think it has to with Qurantine i noticed even the cbs big brother social media promoting the challlenge. They have a much bigger audience that they promote to.

Lol doubt it has to do with BB...More with sport channels promoting it based on the demos that went up are the ones that mainly watch those channels.

These ratings shouldn't be a surprise based off all the money they've spent promoting it. If they can keep this million an episode will be more shocking.

I just looked and whew this is a massive improvement from where they were a few seasons ago

how is it compared to last season?
The first two episodes has been better than the last couple of seasons.

So they did good but dropped from episode 1
Teen mom went down to the 700k mark and Jersey shore to 800k mark. The challenge is still MTV number 1 show currently airing for 2 weeks in a row.
Saw this tweet and it's on point since in my opinion the challenge for a while was an unappreciated show compared to others like Jersey Shore/Teen Mom
