Maybe he likes living in Charlotte.  When it's that much money it isn't always just about the cash

find me one professional athlete as a kid who didn't dream of winning an NBA championship, Superbowl, World Cup, Olympic Gold Medal etc.

At some point your drive to win matters and if Charlotte isn't that situation then you leave a la Kevin Durant leaving Oklahoma City for the Warriors.

Dude has never won a playoff series. I think he is the one who is most likely to team up with AD and Bron.

he's never won a game vs lebron in his career lmao

And the reality is not everyone is going to do it.   We've seen guys stay in a spot where they weren't likely to win because they wanted to be there.   The hometown discount is a real thing.  Doesn't mean it will apply here just that it has happened.  Also, some people would rather be "the guy" than the "third guy" while others are fine in a supporting role.  All players are different and, maybe, he believes that he could eventually win in Charlotte.

LMAO yo it is crazy! Charlotte did win finally vs Bron a couple of years ago..... BUT Kemba was not playing lmao. Poor guy.

RIP Kobe :(

Such a shock, Rip Kobe and Giana

Today has been rough for me. RIP

Shocking and heartbreaking.

I was crying all day yesterday.. still in shock. That father/daughter relationship is special and it just breaks my heart..

Honestly as an early twenties guy who's a big sports fan(not even basketball, but I grew up watching sportscemtre every morning before school) this has to be the biggest celebrity death for me in my life. I was actually alright for the last few hours of work yesterday but coming home and seeing the impact of his death online made me break down for sure. Like I was literally looking at everyone who I follow on social media to see their reaction and basically everyone had a reaction, even these MTV people like Nelson, Cory, Aeneas and Da"Vonne. Seemed like an entire city, country and world was in shock yesterday. Crazy that the Grammys were in his house last night at the staples centre, wonderful job by Alicia Keys honouring him and still making the night enjoyable. Will be interesting to see what happens at the next lakers game, as well as all star weekend coming up...

Hope everyone's doing okay today

I’ve never heard of a sadder story. Prayers for vanessa and their other daughters

also prayers to the other families involved

Kobe you got me crying like a ***** for an entire 24 hours.

I can't believe they shut down the season. Probably the right call, but still a bit shocking.

I was really looking forward to some Jayson Tatum playoff action.

suspend wasn't a good word because they said the will re-evaluate soon... if it is over does it mean the bucks win it all since they have the best NBA record?

no no1 will be the nba champion.

Can't believe Gobert made a Corona Virus joke while knowing he was sick and touched all that shit during media. Obvi he didn't know what it was but still that's crazy how Corona said "aight bet"

Doubt it, I could see them trying to maybe have a mini playoff somehow.

It's only going to get worse. Much worse. There's pretty much no chance that things will get better soon. The NBA season is done.

I think the NHL season is done as well. RIP Bruins.

at least Pasta wins the rocket

They said they are hoping to play before playoffs. They aren't extended regular season though. Some teams are just not going to play as many games

The top 8 teams in both conferences are already set. Seeding obviously would suck to get screwed out of but they can hold it until the playoffs start

seeding are fine In my book

CDC said no events with gatherings of more than 50 people for 8 Weeks (around the first week of May). Shouldn't effect your everyday work life but get used to not seeing sports for a while

So when that's done is this gonna resume? Cause they're gonna be 2 months behind? Sheesh

its hard to say. They could shorten the playoffs. But who knows what will happen like they can't make these players wait forever

Dimwitty brought the idea that if they can continue in the summer to just have a March Madness tournament in their current seeds and have the finals after so that every one gets to play to make up for the weeks off and fans get a show
