Dondre was just doing too much for me. HOWEVER, I do like how he pointed out that when people find out someone is gay..they only have one picture of what a gay dude should be or look like.
If you know Spanish I would recommend the spanish one it was better for me.
But if you dont no idea if you would like to read captions and if it would feel as organic without understanding what they are saying but reading it. In my opinion the editing was way better and seems more organic.
Yes, the Mexico version was soo much better. I even enjoyed the Bangkok one, as well.
Im so satisfied with the editing style of this season. its simple, well put together & easily explained but im just worried at how much is gonna be left on the cutting room floor. I knoooowwww they had so much more to drink/talk about in the first 3 days.
We get it pressed and watered down into 30 mins? not even the regular 45 mins we've grown accustomed to since the early 2000s?
Seems they got what they wanted...lots of controversy & hot topics in America that won't seem to die out (race, religion).
Tovah is my favorite, Yasmin is right there & Dondre just because he's going to push buttons & shake the house up when it seems they all would've gotten along or been one big happy family. I'm excited for more can't wait for episode 2.
I'm feeling the cast. But the season is just badly edited and the flashing words are so distracting.
It's so fast paced and doesn't slow down. Like one second, they're having an awkward meeting, the next they're going out partying and enjoying each other's company and I'm like "Dayum, I'm still just learning y'all's names!"
And then all of a sudden Clint and Tovah are having a showmance. Then they're having deep talks about racism. I just feel like we're missing some scenes between all these dynamics. I'm getting whiplash. I feel like this cast would be better served to have a longer runtime.
Finally watched and it was ok actually? It's moving a bit too fast and it's not like Facebook has to adhere to a set run time so I hope episodes can get longer so we can really get to know the cast.
Dondre is a ******* mess but I'm going to enjoy watching it. I had to laugh when he asked why they never speak on black issues.
Justin is fine and he should get more interesting as the season goes on.
Arely is cute and kind of likable I hope we get more insight into her life.
I like Yasmin so far.
Not sure about Tovah... that preview .... do better I guess.
Clint is boring and hopefully, this "showmance" fades out soon because I'm already over it.
Clint was literally a waste of space the first episode. Knowing that he only won because he had more followers and that a lot of Real World fans weren't pleased he was picked Ihe should've stepped his game up and tried to prove people wrong. Instead he does what we expected and tries to get in a showmance and then he runs away from all of the tough topics the cast was having,
I just can't do Clint IDK maybe cause It's season 33 , maybe cause RW took a break and The Challenge cast nothing but Clints but I just can't do this guy and IM OVER SHOWMANCES ON THE RW thank you , next.
I like Yasmine and Tovah the most and I actually like Meaghan and Im not gonna fault her to much cause she seems like the type whos parents picked her college , popped up on her while in class and picked her up every weekend and break but sis needs to stop playing like Atlanta isnt hot a hell covering up all the time. Dondre had me rolling his whole interaction with Arely , "Oh so Teen Mom" and "You Shouldn't come illegally" "We came on a travelers visa" "Oh good job" , he's a shady messy queen on the inside but a Texas conservative southern boy on the outside and it's hilarious to watch. Arely seems cool and as a Black man Justin is to intense for me , Im all about education but his approach is to intense.
I just feel bad for Joanna & Michelle who both had stories to tell yet they "lost" (I'm sorry but you can't tell me Lint wasn't already picked for the cast) to the usual good ol' All-American country "hot" guy who the casual/Facebook/Reddit crowd would rather see 100 times over someone who actually has depth. Lint doesn't have shit to offer other than being The U.S.'s favorite aesthetic.
This same person + viewing audience all need that intensity Justin brings. Everybody wants to live in La-La Land & act like life is all ice cream sprinkles & unicorn dust....he brings it back to reality.
The big issues for me with the American one wasnt casting but editing it felt like a clip show a bunch of scenes put together it didnt have any transition scenes to it and it felt rushed being like 25 mins instead of the usual 45.
Another thing is that the conversations felt forced like the cast knew what role they were cast for and like Youssarin wrote on the international thread this cast have some expectations what the real world is so they knew they had to have to those conversations because they were cast for it.
Meanwhile, atleast in the Mexican one (havent watch Bangkok) it came out naturally they were not forcing it since the majority of them doesnt know the history of this show and havent watch prior seasons. It was more organic and the editor was not the same one from the lindsay Lohan show that is editing the American one.
I like it, a much better cast than they've had for a while. Justin is a bit much, but what the Real World should and used to be about, opinionated, strong diverse characters. Clint is not! Just the Mr America cast it became. I really like Tovah, I think she's going to bring alot more depth than her first clip would have you think! Dondre definitely doesn't have a social filter. I wonder if any will be Challenge bound.
I wish the girls were messier, can't see any of them really going at each other and they seem too easy going to drag the boys.
Nooo! This is what you get every where, nice to have it be back to issues and less booze. Don't get me wrong, I love that too, but nice to have both :)
If one of those girls won the vote over Clint, would they have dropped one of the girls on the cast for them?
And yeah I agree. I feel like they all came into it knowing what role they were playing and quickly established themselves in that role on day one. Kinda sucks because I like when halfway through the season past issues get brought up because they feel more comfortable and are visibly upset talking about it like Violetta and Madison on Skeletons.
The first episode now has close to a million viewers with over 700 comments. I think they’re actually going to determine how well the show is doing based on engagement. I can see this getting renewed being that Facebook has done a better job than MTV based on promotion and people seem to be enjoying is based on every where else I read. Clint does stick out and represents the old tired casting BMP used to do which needs to stop. People like him weigh the show down and stops it from going into the right direction.
They really tried to make it seem like Meagan said "That's not my cup of tea" about homosexuality on the trailer but it was really about the strip club.
So the terrible tacky Buzzfeed captions are still around for episode 1.5? @ MTV/Facebook FIX IT
Clint is.... weird as hell and I'm so mad that the producers rigged it for him to end up on this show... Like Tovah is standing right there, why are you texting yourself from her phone. And then he's trying to flirt with her "I really vibe with you" STOP LYING LM FAO. Tovah telling him his IG was on that ******* shit >>>. But then she got right into bed with him, SMH, I need her to have some self control here.
Arely is so cuteeee I love her. Yasmin preaches the truth. Meagan ain't half bad.
Clint doesn't fit with the cast but lowkey neither does Arely. She sticks out like Priscilla did in the San Diego season. I would've preferred another Teen Mom or DACA recipient that would've CLOCKED Dondre when he tried to shade her when they met.

I think Clint was a good choice for the show as there is no one like him on the show. The only thing Clint shares with certain roommates is that he is a Republican. I think Clint has some things to offer; he just needs to break out of his shell so to speak.
Dondre wasn’t try to shade her. He just likes to see the laws of this country followed. I probably would have said the same thing to Aerly that Dondre did. Maybe not at the very second of meeting her ,but it would have been a topic to come up in future conversations.
With that being said if they were going to cast a teen mom/DACA recipent than Aerly fits well for that category. Aerly is a DACA recipent raising her son, going to college to better herself etc and seems to be classy/respectful. Which show she not here for the bologna, works hard and places a level of importance on higher education. That is great as far as I am concerned.
Now for Me personally I come from a family that is mixed race, religious and place a high importance on higher education. Which is one of the many reasons that I went to college and got my bachelors degree. Cause in my family you don’t skip out on college.
Overall, She is not necessarily a favorite of mine per se. However, I do think she was a good choice to be the face of DACA aka the “dreamers” for the show.
Yall really watching this mess, they must have been really desperate for fame to not only sign up for a dwindling ratings reality show but one that is now online on facebook watch a mess! Are they even going to be allowed on the challenge LOL
I wish the girls were messier, can't see any of them really going at each other and they seem too easy going to drag the boys.
Sucks that this cast won't really get the exposure compared to the seasons that were on television...unless some of them end up on the challenge.
Dondre was just doing too much for me. HOWEVER, I do like how he pointed out that when people find out someone is gay..they only have one picture of what a gay dude should be or look like.
Dondre seems really immature and uneducated.
is the second episode available? I can't find it
Just the first episode. New episodes will air every Thursday at 12pm EST.
Yes, the Mexico version was soo much better. I even enjoyed the Bangkok one, as well.
But IMO so far, RW Mexico >>>

I thought it was an everyday thing smh

Other than that, though, I enjoy the diversity.

Meagan is a ******* LEGEND ❤️

The intro wasn’t bad.
