In my opinion he did nothing wrong, people are just going off just to go off and to drag him for no reason. Things like that happens all the time while you are on vacation, it would be different if he wasnt traveling back after finding out.

People have a way of twisting the narrative to make themselves look a certain way. Amanda always laughs when they mess with her, it’s why I like her, she isn’t overly sensitive. If it was traumatizing it would have already spoke out about it.
