They were setting Cory up for something, but he may have messed it up. It’s clear they are pushing for Tomy to be a Johnny jr.. Didn’t Johnny say recently he would like if Tony basically took over in his spot? Something along those lines.
In my opinion Tony is to old to fill that role. I feel like stephen will be the one if he continues doing this shows.

When he returned from FR 32, he was telling family, friends & anyone else that would listen that he set himself up perfectly to replace Bananas and be the new face of The Challenge and that producers liked him. But he has not changed since our years at Rutgers. He is known for exaggerating situations, manipulating people for his gain, lying and being cocky but at the same time wants to be liked by the majority. Seeing what he has done since 32 proves he will do “anything” to stay relevant and secure the spot. I doubt turning 30 (today is his birthday) will change him for the better.
