IM ******* WEAK AT BACK2THETRAP INCLUDING MY CITY ****OOOOOOOO

my city is on there too ****

Real World lost its appeal ...from what I gathered The 1st core fanbase lost interest after the 1st Vegas season (12).....then after Hollywood/Brooklyn (20/21)

and then the twists kinda put off the core fanbase that was following...but I think if you follow the show's recent trend they were trying to rejuvenate the show to appeal to younger audiences..so the younger crowd would need something to entice them (Exes,Skeletons, Stunts w/ Go "Bigot"GoHome, Bad Blood which really wasnt shit)

I think a lot of ppl were put off by the changes, and the twists never captivated audiences like the Producers/Alleged Drug Addicts & Drunks predicted it would. If they are able to go on a brainstorming drug binge and attempt to revive the show...I HIGHLY doubt they're gonna have 7 people in the house cause it wouldn't be special or marketable to anyone except the lost core fanbase if that....

I just don’t think young people are gonna tune in every week to see 7 strangers work at a local bar and talk about their problems. In theory it should be the perfect time given the climate and what people are talking about but we barely watch TV nowadays as it is. If they play their cards right and cast some truly unique stories and promote it I could see it coming back tho

I think Road Rules with a twist (Idk what) would be more appealing in this day and age. Watching people travel around the globe doing tasks that you usually don’t see, while also interacting with the different people they live with. Idk

The twists aren’t the problem, it’s the subpar casting and editing

Im sure there have been in depth conversations and different revelations on each season, however, as the comment above said...the sloppy editing is a disgrace and it isn't properly promoted...ala "The 10 spot" days...nobody gives a **** anymore and production's actions convey they dont care either...

In all honesty, I could see a similar style of Road Rules being brought up and appealing to many viewers...whether BMP /MTV is smart enough to capitalize on that current void....Im doubtful.

They could put less of a focus on the missions and more of a focus on the different lifestyles and real life challenges in each area they travel to. Ughhh they just need to get high and brainstorm some shit.

Chile, I think that's the problem...They aint thinkin up A **** THING but more bullshit...

Mentally deranged *************!

I used to want Real World to return from this hiatus but at this point I'm okay with it getting canned. The casting directors at Bunim Murray are trash and the same can be said for Lighthearted Entertainment who does AYTO. Neither show wants to change the casting formula despite the **** poor ratings. Bunim Murray has enough shows to choose from to fill their Challenge quota so Real World needs to quit being cast with the Challenge in mind. There are enough shows for us to see hook-ups and drunken antics which the last few seasons of the Real World wasn't even good at giving us. With America's current social climate now would be the time to go back to the old formula and touch on the real topics going on in the world but knowing Bunim Murray they would still insist on casting a bunch of Instagram models and giving us some watered down bullshit no one would watch.

So sad. Started Reality TV as we know it & this is how they treat it.

American Media at its finest. Take hold of something great...and RAM it down society's throat, then run that ************ into the ground and beat it with the dead horse it will soon become til the very end.   Look at American Idol, 51Minds of Love....(which ended tragically but they fulfilled the 28 show deal I think) And Im surprised to see Survivor hanging on, but its also lost viewers peaking somewhere around seasons 10-12...but CBS isn't run by alleged defunct drug addicts like I assume MTV may be....

People love it til they love to hate it....the problem comes when nobody gives a **** no more...As in present day...but its longevity for as long as it survived should be commended.  Despite the GodAwful production seen in later years...

The biggest problem with MTV imo is how they promoted their show. For example Florabama shore had a good 1st season rating wise & they still havent air a trailer for season 2 that premieres in 2.5 weeks.

You can cast a great show, give it great edit and have good drama on it...But if People doesnt know its airing whats the point of it

MTV is like the cheap uncle and VH1 is the rich aunt who spoils you. MTV is basically banking on Jersey Shore fans tuning into Floribama Shore so they don't have to spend money on promotion.

the people at mtv are subpar people working for a subpar network

“Why a Majority of College Hill on BET seasons were better than a large amount of Real World Seasons” - an essay written by Jaytea

ive got at least 4 sources and a works cited page

BET didn't know what to do with College Hill either. That show was supposed to have been a mainstay on the network; they dropped the ball like they always do smmfh. MTV & BET are basically one in the same.

Same thing with Baldwin Hills while we're on the subject. Queen Gerren deserved better!

I'm glad that shit was axed. Nothing but a black Laguna Beach. Weak.

We love facts. BET would be revived off bringing that back alone because black viewers are extremely loyal.

Was still better than the tragic Season 3 of Laguna Beach. Smile

it would actually be a hit on VH1

TBH the Virgin Islands was the only good season of College Hill. Miami was alright the first few episodes but the others were trash.

Meanwhile VH1 is thriving in a period where people don't watch TV as much anymore. MTV wya sis?

That's not saying much honestly.

People are still watching TV but MTV doesn't deliver shows that get buzz on social media. People watch shows like The Bachelor, Big Brother, Love & Hip Hop, and Real Housewives while tweeting and it feels like a big Twitter family where everyone is sharing their opinion, cracking jokes, and making memes. Aside from Teen Mom and Jersey Shore I haven't seen a MTV show on the worldwide trends.
