If they do bring in people from Survivor theywill need to go onto the spin-off first before an actual challenge. It would just make sense.

Who is the daddy in your avi?

First it was Leandro D'lucca and then I changed it to Kenny Brain from BBCan.

Long time Vevmo lurker coming out of the shadows. I wanted to watch some of the old seasons of The Challenge but wasn’t sure which ones are the best to watch. Help me out please Smile

Inferno I, II or Gauntlet 2 are probably the best ones from the Golden Era IMO

Battle of the Seasons, Battle of the sexes, Inferno 2 and Gauntlet 2. Also check out Challenge 2000 if you can find it.

The original Gauntlet would be my first suggestion.   I might be in the minority that feel Ganutlet and Inferno were better than the second and third versions but those seasons were great IMO...the casting was great.

i actually prefer inferno 2 over 1 tbh

It's difficult for me.  The Inferno was Katie's story.  I loved seeing her fight to get to the final and beating Julie/David.  Mallory, Kendal and Christena are three of my all-time favorite one hit wonders.  Coral vs. Trishelle/Julie is great TV.  So was Leah/CT.  The entire Kendal/Leah elimination is amazing.  It was the last time we saw legend Holl Shand.  Julie trying to kill Veronica.  David sleeping through everything.  There's so much good.

Inferno 2 had two quitters Beth & Karamo which hurts it in my book.  The original mean girls vs Tonya was good TV.  Legend Landon arrived.  Great debuts for Jamie & Shavonda.  Veronica beating Jodi was great as was Tina over Robin.  Balls In was great and so was the fight between Darrell/Abram afterward.  Dan/CT was great.  The Landon/Derrick drunk wrestling and the aftermath was pure entertainment as well.  I just think the over cast was weaker

Inferno = Inferno 2 for me. Two of the GOAT Challenges for their own reasons.

I thought Inferno 2 was just as better season to me and there was alot more that I enjoyed as opposed to the first one.

Not that the first once sucked or was a bad challenge.  It definetly had it's moments and is a classic but to me Inferno 2 just felt like a stronger season to me.

God I wish Kendal would come back.

I like Inferno I better overall, but (besides Brick by Brick) Inferno II had better eliminations.

Inferno 2 was ICONIC

Inferno 2 was ICONIC

Yeah both Infernos were great. A+ seasons.

Yeah, I agree with previous poster who said Inferno = Inferno 2. Both are just iconic. Battle of the Sexes is my all-time favorite, though. So many great story lines going on at once.

Thanks for the advice about the Brain Candy Podcast, guys. I really wanna hear these interviews with old schoolers. I listen to Reality Bytes too, but I'm interested in how Susie interviews people because of her own experience on the shows (and I think - no offence RB guys - she can get more "exclusive" people due to her connections from the shows). I'm still undecided if I actually want to pay literal money to hear them... but I'm leaning toward it.

I do the $5 level and I find the interviews worth it. There’s definitely some overlap with the Reality Bytes and Brain Candy interview list but the interviews won’t be identical. Susie talking to cast members she likes will give you a more candid and open interview than those she doesn’t know but i mean you can also just do it for one month, listen to them all (none of the old ones are deleted), and then cancel your account lol. If it was more than $5/month, I wouldn’t do it

Inferno 2 is my all time favorite

Big brother didnt

And it made no sense and added nothing extra to the show.  The mini seasons should be the tester, otherwise people should tune into Big Brother and Survivor if they want to watch those shows.

All are great, but I think the original Battle of the Sexes is where it got good for me.  I loved Battle of the Sexes - Inferno 2.  The others are worth the watch as well, I'm still finishing Challenge 2000 and Extreme Challenge but to see how the show evolved (and to miss how much fun it use to be while still holding on to amazing drama) I'd suggest watching them all.  :) You can see why Queen V is known as a Queen <3

Battle of the Sexes was the first season I watched while it airing.  I caught it around the time Rachel left in an iconic moment.    I LOVE the format for the Battle of the Sexes seasons...mainly because it allowed literally anyone...didn't have to be an equal amount of RW/RR and no gimics like current seasons.  The original had the best system with points.  I so wish that would come back.  It was shut up some people who think they are better when they really do bad at missions.   The Gauntlet is amazing with Sarah's storyline, Trishelle&Mike vs RW, the Threeway, and so many more.  While I didn't like Dave as the host of the Inferno's (R.I.P.) the cast was OUTSTANDING for them and full of amazing moments <3     I wish they would cast a few more old school alums to add to the current mix.

I've wrote this before many times but my dream season would be a Battle of the Sexes 3.  Bring the Leaderboard back (Johnny Mosely too lol) and the inner circle picks one person to go into elimination (instead of straight home) and then that person can pick anyone not in the inner circle to battle against, loser goes home. This happens till there is only four people left, the person not in the inner cirlce goes home, have prizes after every mission to make people want to try hard.  3 vs 3 for a final.   I think it'd be an awesome season.

The only change I would make is the person with the least amount of point should automatically go in and the inner circle picks the opponent.  Then when only 4 & 5 are left the 2 lowest scoring people go head to head.  I would love that format.   Make people truly earn it.   We can even allow the opposing inner circle to protect one person on the other side.

Did they rent that fort in Dirty 30 or were people just weren't allowed on the fort island? Regardless it seems highly expensive.

Whatever happened to that Danny guy that was on the Real World with Wes.  RW Austin.   That was one of the first seasons Ive seen every episode of, thanks to my then gf who also (legit thanks) got me hooked on these Challenges.   But I hated how that season basically revolved around him - his relationship with that blonde, his mom dying, and his getting his eye socket broke at a bar.   I remember seeing footage of that assualt somewhere (maybe on the RW?) and Wes was beating someone up and Danny was standing there looking oblivious and some dude just cold cocked him and ran off.

Anyways, I remember him coming on the challenge and being such a loser.  Sucked at everything.  Then out of nowhere he came back one season looking legit roided up.  Big but not natural looking.

Am I wrong in thinking he kind of got the same kind of treatment Cory is getting now?  Whereas MTV is trying so hard to make him something?  Like I said that whole season revolved around him.  Then they did some special or ****, might've been a spin off, about his relationship with the blond (Melissa?) including him proposing to her in a horse drawn carriage.  And then the challenges.

This all just crossed my mind because I was at the gym and there was a young guy there wearing the same ******* hat that this Danny guy always wore.  Weird how things jog your memory.

When Queen Jela states that she wants to do The Challenge >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Get her on either the next spinoff or just bring BGC in general on a regular season, either way GET THIS WOMAN ON THE CHALLENGE!!!

They probably wanted to make Danny a big part of the challenge, but Wes turned out to be the bigger star from that season.

I can see this. Given that he was a huge part of Austin and was with Melinda as part of the bigger romances of Modern RW it would stand to reason they had planed on Danny being the "it" Guy of that season to be a major player on the challenges..but then he flopped constantly and then Wes Emerged as the superior character and they just ditched Danny after awhile.

shit they had Jozea of all BB people so i don’t see why they don’t try to get a BGC girl on the spin-off

As much as S & S drive me up the wall sometimes with their self righteous, condescending tones & overly dramatic all men are out to get women stance, their podcasts are a very guilty pleasure of mine.  If you can handle Sarah cackling like a hyena alot, I'd say give it a try, but paying for it is where I have to draw the line.

I find alot of their non-challenge content interesting. I do believe that Susie elevates the podcast cause she keeps it structured.
