Cory did exactly what he said he was gonna do which was be there for Ryder's 1st birthday. He didn't say anything otherwise......Chey has no issues with him going. That's money for the child.
I just hope that production isn't favoriting Bananas and making things easier for him in order to protect their investment. Considering that they spend more money on him, you'd think that they would want to get more "money's worth" out of him. And if any of that happens, that certainly damages his reputation as the greatest Challenger ever. (Assuming that's even his to begin with)

a father should also provide for his family. And I’m sorry the challenge is paying more than IG modeling and PT. It is what’s it is.

Very good point, considering he hasnt had the best showingbthese past couple seasons (particularly vendettas and Invasion) Its like even if he performs poorly or gets blindsided, he still makes loads of money so you're right with your analogy. Perfect example NHL goalie rick dipietro was supposed to be the next big thing but hisa bones are made of glass so he was a pinerider up until they bought out his 60 mill(ish) contract, Id never leave either, thats not to say others are probably very frustrated about it

Chey and Cory seem to have a good co-parenting relationship going from what they post on SM so I don't think she would hold it against him for going. He was just there for her 1st birthday and Christening so I can see him thinking it would now be ok to go away for a bit. Plus, Cory has never said in interviews that he's done with The Challenge. And in Tony's case, the only reason he turned this season down intially was because he had a wedding he was a part of that he couldn't back out of. I think when Tony/Cory saw an opening to go, they took it.
