So what is the average appearance fee of cast members?
I think Rookies (both genders) get around 1-5k just for being on and then get paid weekly for every week they survive. Kenny said that Bananas gets around 60k. CT probably gets around the same (maybe even more). I think usually everyone else gets paid based off how many seasons they've done previously but the cast members they really want would be able to negotiate higher.

Cara and Nicole went the whole season without getting sent into elimination. Women are good at manipulating the game too, they just did it without being in the Troika themselves. And that is annoying, because then MTV spends all their time on the guys making decisions.

Yikes. When the format lends itself to the bigger and more athletic players, of course men will "do it better". They were given a leg up on the women before the show even started. It's not a matter of "manipulating the game". When the format, the editing and the vast majority of viewers are in favour of the guys, there's no conversation to be had on whose gameplay is better, because gameplay isn't even a factor at that point. The women have to scrape and claw their way to the top every time. And when they happen to make game moves, it's either edited out (like with Marie this past season) or edited to make them look like snakes (like with Sarah and Cara) whereas guys get edits like Tony for doing **** all.
Like I said...If the women were so good at manipulating they'd be running the game alot more than they do on a regular basis. Make any excuse you want but the fact of the matter is the women aren't as good at it. Period. Yes they were at a disadvantage in Vendettas but as was pointed out they could've easily had more manipualtion and influece had they just spoke the **** up and not have the men run everything in the times that they didn't need to preform to be in the troika. You can't put that on editing or whatever. On top of that there have been several formats allowed women to manipualte and they didn't do it(Although some tried) while the men did. How do you explain that? Editing? lol. Maybe the women just aren't as good..
You missed the point of what I said. It's not about manipulation or gameplay, when the men are given an advantage in the game from the start. You can ignore that, and the editing that women get, as much as you want. But that's really what it comes down to. The men on the show are, and have always been, encouraged to make certain moves for the sake of the game and for their own entertainment, whereas when women do it, they're treated like shit and made to look crazy. And in some cases, never asked back. The only format that I can remember, where women had direct and unadulterated influence on which guys were sent in, was Rivals 2. Maybe you've never been close enough to a woman to put yourself in the position of one.
Aside from Vendettas Men aren't given advantages. Women have the same opprotunity as men to play the game in their favor and while some do. Alot don't. And that's on those women alone. Not on anything else.
And for the record I've been close to women who've done just what men have and have been succsessful with it. Not these women on the challenge who hardly do anything but fuss and fight at each other.

I'm not a Bananas fan, but I wouldn't want a 9-5 desk job if i could make six figures ******* around on TV and making personal appearances. Sounds like he's got shit figured out to me, more than middle management guy in side cubicle commuting 90 minutes per day to the office in his Dodge Stratus.

I'm just going off stats I read a few years ago average American yearly salary was something like 30k, figured it has probably jumped a bit due to inflation so that was adjusted on my part, numbers could be wrong but thats just what I read, I don't claim to be a statistician lol.

Avg salary for a college grad right out of college (early 20s) in California is $50k. The cost of living is also way higher than most places, so that matters too.
Was just pulling your chain. If he makes $60k (plus another $60k for making it over halfway), he's doing well. Especially since there are now about 2 Challenges a year. I don't think he's been smart enough to actually capitolize on the money he's made though. He seems to just spend/save instead of trying to invest or start businesses.
He did live in his parents' house until his 30s, so let's not act like he's raking it in or investing well.

I definitely understasnd how some people can be sick of him, what is this 9 seasons straight now? Its hard to deny he brings some entertainment value to the show hate him or love him I feel his role is integral to the entire Challenge.
