I remember being hyped every week for the Inferno 2 and watching all the re-runs during the days when MTV would actually show the episodes multiple times a week.
Inferno 2 is my fav season still to this day. It's amazing
I’m currently on Inferno 2 in my rewatching of the Seasons. A character like Jon Ian unheard of these days. Bringing his religious beliefs in the game. I liked Gauntlet 1 And Battle of the Sexes 1 the best of the old Days!
I miss the weird missions where it didn’t matter how strong you are and anyone could win.
Sup guys, long time lurker first time poster. Gotta drop a hot take real quick.
Landon is low key the greatest competitor in Challenge history. 4 seasons, 3 wins, and the only one he lost (Duel 2) he DOMINATED the entire season until the final 4 when he got royally screwed losing to Brad.
Fresh Meat 2 was his swan song. An exercise in dominance. First he gets stuck with the last pick and ends up with that frumpy Carly chick who we never heard from again. Props to her for pushing herself to the limit and giving it everything she had but homegirl just was not an athlete. Season begins, Kenny and Wes divide the whole house and make everyone pick sides. Landon picks Wes's side. Wrong choice. That poor choice got him sent to 2 eliminations, which were basically mini finals that season that required incredible endurance, and he won both times. With Carly as his teammate. Now the overall talent on that season wasn't great but there was the superteam of Kenny and Laurel which is still one of the most dominant teams the show has ever seen. Final challenge rolls around, Kenny and Laurel have it in the bag. No chance Landon can beat them with ******* Carly. WRONG. The man simply could not be stopped. Moment of appreciation for Landon. The end.
The Inferno 2 was awesome and that is also one of my favorite seasons. I like it better than the 1st inferno honestly.
Couldnt agree more, and I love Inferno I also. Inferno II is one of the GOAT seasons and it's due to the cast they put together. They put together one of the best casts the show has seen.
I mean you had Beth, The Mean Girls at their meanest, crazy messy Tonya, CT, Dan, Abram, even Karamo all on one team? That team is LIT. Plus the "Good Guys" too who were just as lit minus poor Jodi who let the Bad ***** get to her to the point she caved and lost.
Crazy Julie, Miz, Darrell, Robin etc.
if only production still knew how to put out a cast like THIS together again.
I'm on the Jodi episode right now. I'm getting so ******** at Dan and Tina especially...what catty bi****s. Veronica even admitted she got out smarted by Jodi's twist. As much as I love Veronica I still wish Jodi would have beat her in that weird elimination.
this is like an all star challenge cast...a lot of great one hit wonders too. Also these early seasons remind me why I hate CT.

I say this all the time. I don't care how much he's "changed" aka how much of a funny dad bod guy he puts on for the cameras now that he has a kid, I will always look at him as the VIOLENT VULGAR BULLY he was all those years.
Wait until you get to the end of the season and see how he bullies and intimidates Dan. Such trash.
But i am glad V won that. She's iconic, unlike Jodi. Wish she could have stayed also but... V is V.
And this was def an All star cast. Amazing casting this season. Part of why I hated Inferno III. The cast didn't live up to this one or the first.
Oh I’ve watched it before...I’ve been watching them as they aired since the original battle of the sexes lol. I forgot about random stuff though so their fun to watch, just makes me miss the old schoolers and the vibe the show used to have.
Road Rules all stars is now on mtv.com has that always been there? That’s one I haven’t watched yet but I’m looking forward to it. Hoping they put on the first four seasons.
She had a decent amount of story lines and was one of the only Fresh Meat who were actually worth something. She had a cute but fiery personality, a showmance, a feud with Diem, was a pretty good competitor... what more did MTV want from her to not bring her back?!

That still makes me mad to this day. The way they took it so personal and then acted like******* to Jodi..like first of all **** you, second of all it's a game and y'all got played. Chill.
The main thing that made me mad about that was Jodi. She should've stuck up for herself more against all of them and not let them get to her. I feel like that incident really accelerated my dislike for Veronica.
Lol after the good guys win on Inferno 2 all the bad ***** look miserable and upset. They all hug and hand shake the winning team. Rachel looks sad hugging Mike then instantly snaps out of it for Landon with a huge smile 'hey! First time!' Lol found this moment super funny lol.
Also CT being an *** to Dan was karama for how Dan was to Jodi but also made me hate CT even more.
In the weird reunion-ish show for the inferno 2 Rachel says she told Tina to get her *** to a gym and start running or else she'll vote her off on the next challenge. This was Rachel's final challenge until she came back five years later on The Island....but her comment made it sound like she was coming back. Tina said she was ready to come back. Veronica said she was taking the next one off. What happened that made Rachel disappear and then why did she magically decide to come back for the Island solo with none of her normal alliance members?
^^^ That was when they had their "College Dropout" line. Supposedly, production out of nowhere told them that they could no longer promote the shirts on the show anymore (but of course they later let JEK promote their ugly *** shirts/bobbleheads/whatever bullshit they were selling). That on top of what I've heard was a pay dispute involving a lot of the Old Schoolers was why they took such long breaks. Somewhere in between that & The Island was when V/Rachel had their breakup.
When Julie was the one who formulated the plan in the first place but let Jodi take all the heat for it while she sat back & watched the show >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The male competition on Inferno 2 was stacked. The Miz, The Kang, Landon, Derrick, CT, Abe, and Brad.
even the 'weaker' guys like Dan I'd consider strong. The girls for the most part were stacked with every girl on the bad *** team and then Jodi, Julie, and imo Robin and Jamie seem to be able to hold their own. Shavonda admitted not being strong but she even killed it in a few missions. Overall it was just a very strong cast.
And I forgot about the college dropout stuff. That's dumb they stopped letting them promote it. That shouldn't have mattered since they were big names for the show at that time. So stupid about the pay too. Glad they eventually came back but I'm sad it was enough time for JEK to take over :/
Ahhh I remember when The Inferno 2 & The Gauntlet 2 aired, I would race to get home to actually watch those seasons because they were so great. The Gauntlet 2 had an amazing cast and proved that the show could do well without the regular stars since most of them weren't on that season.
Beth's reign of terror will always be amazing to watch lol I always crack up watching the scene when Montana tries to bury the hatchet with her after Beth beat Ruthie and Beth is acting super nice saying "I don't want to fight with you, I don't want to fight with you." then she turns to the camera and sticks her tongue out when Montana walks away lmaooooo
Random question and maybe this is the wrong place to ask. Anyways.... I'm super curious as to why Marybeth [RR12] never did a challenge. I remember watching it when it aired and thinking she was going to be on tons of challenges. Anyone know if she was ever asked to do one?
What was up with the spring break challenge? Was Camilla really the only good choice from that? I always found it weird she was the only one brought on. I mean I’m happy she was, it left more room for other alum, I always wondered what girl we could have had on cutthroat without her. But thought it was weird she came by herself with no other spring break people.
I talked to Jamil Khan a few back , the whole entire Spring Break Cast was told they were all eligible for Challenges for 5 years , I know Hector and Jamil received availability calls during Cutthroat-Seasons.

she was a bitter ***** after it ended.
Really? That's too bad. She was one I always thought woud do a challenge and I would've loved to see her.
As much as I like the Inferno 2 the good guys team was not really filled good people. Landon flailed a knife around on Philly, Julie tried killing Veronica, and Robin and Brad got arrested.
Marybeth was aight, I wouldn't have minded her on a Challenge but I wasn't holding my breath. Someone random who I wish did a Challenge was Christina from Paris.
As much as I like the Inferno 2 the good guys team was not really filled good people. Landon flailed a knife around on Philly, Julie tried killing Veronica, and Robin and Brad got arrested.
Hahaha but they’re still perceived as nice people overall so that makes them “good guys” as opposed to people like CT or Veronica that aren’t perceived as “nice” aka good and are considered mean so that makes them bad. Get it?
But the Bad Guys always said it should have been “Bad Guys” vs “Badder Guys” cause the good guys weren’t so good lol
Inferno 2 is my fav season still to this day. It's amazing

weakest guy on good guys was jon brennan. 2nd weakest was brad,
the fact brad was the 2nd weakest tells you all you need to know about that cast.

Gauntlet 2 was one **** of a season. I still remember the look on the vets faces when Beth won Team Captain. That was an iconic moment IMO.
Beth honestly really was a good villian and I doubt we'll have anyone like her.
