Nick was actually an alternate and if you Google both of them there's reports of BOTH not wanting to fight anymore in the UFC. Even Dana White told cbs sports he's unsure if they will ever fight again.
They don't want to fight anymore because of the way the company's run. They think they should be paid more (which they should because they're draws) andtheyhate the commission because of the fines and bans dealing with marijuana, which in my opinion they're right once again. But once again, Nick surprises me less, Nate would be near impossible. And by the way, You have Nick, a super athlete with a made for TV personality, and you pick CM Punk? This show is gonna help MTV. My roommate who's never watched the challenge but is a huge sports fan is willing to give it a try and I'm excited. But these casuals need to stop. Let's not act like John has physically stampeded everyone in the Olympics. Is he good at the challenge? Yes. But still. These guys are ex NFL. Lolo Jones has competed in the actual Olympics. Only interesting notes from the Punk interview :didn't like bananas got along the best with Wes and Veronica Said he would only do another season if there was different producers. He said they treat Bananas as if he was worth a million dollar contract. Aside from Wes, Veronica, Bananas he doesn't really remember anyone else. He revealed that Nick Diaz brother of Nate Diaz who fought Mcgregor was a pros alternate. Along with Tony Hawk and Amy Dumas aka ( Lita from WWE ). Due to the pros contracts many of em weren't allowed to do really physical stuff but That didn't really stop them.The pros were each paid 100k just for showing up. He only recognized Veronica as he was a fan of the show in the older days.
