i am confused on the format. i get they have 6 missions basically testing a different skill which is awesome. But the winnings team captain votes in someone and the rest decide who faces them, the losing team's captain automatically goes in and they vote on his opponnent. is this challenge vs challenge and pros vs pros eliminations? i hope not, becuase we have seen that already. They have to do pros vs challengers eliminations or this won't be very good. Have their been any spoilers at all on this?

So my interpretation is that each captain of the weekly challenge automatically goes into the elimination round. While each team will then vote another player in from the opposing team. So it'll be a 2vs elimination.

Winning team captain is safe, the rest is true i think.
Not to mention wwe and wrestling websites covering it also Punk has over 3 million followers on twitter
I think Punk is probably going to bring the most eyeballs to this because wrestling fans are more diehard than challenge fans lol Him and the NFL players could give it good viewership and hopefully it translate to people being interested in the challenge people and watching the next challenge. It's a win-win.
It would be nice if CM Punk would actually know the people choosen to represent the Challenge. He could give them a Pimpbomb and end their lives right there. That would be Must See TV.

Yah you are right, the winning team captain picks someone else from their team. So still 2 v 2.
It's neat how they brought someone from like different sports and backgrounds, because of the amount of viewers each individual pro will bring with them. And honesttea they have to be like B list athlete because the A list athletes either don't have time to do this stuff (NBA NHL in progress during filming) or they're not allowed to do physical shit that could potentially hurt them! And agreed on the CM punk thing, the man has a huge following from WWE, the UFC card he was on wasn't even a good card but high viewership because punk was fighting
Current players signed in the NBA, NFL or NHL would not be able to do this. There's an injury risk. That's why you see retired people and people from individual sports that don't have seasons going on at the time. Decent cast for the pros but better than I expected to be honest. If you don't follow sports you arent going to know them. Guys making 5-25M a year wouldn't do this even if they were allowed
Yea honestly didn't expect to know any of the pros, really only checked because I expected Hannah Teeter tbh. Pleasantly surprised to see CM Punk on the cast.
edit: is that her name? Hannah Teeter? Let me go ask googles rq.
True but the outcome will still be the same, low ratings and no new viewers. They've shot themselves in the foot and I do not think theres any recovering.
I agree that they've really hurt themselves when it comes to this show but I do think that can be fixed. Really getting behind the new kids in terms of promotion would be a good start...

Pretty sure nobody was. Shit like this is for people who are retired or just not doing shit at the moment. Steph Curry ain't gonna be wasting his time with shit like this.
CM Punk, Shawne Merrriman, Lolo Jones & Candice Wiggins?Okay MTV, start that comeback slowly but surely.Wonder if The Miz was asked & which team would he be on lol
probabaly too busy with wwe to take a lot of time out to do this wwe is always on the road

On the mma hour (ufc podcast) the talked about the challenge and cm punk!
i hope people weren't expecting this.
I'm really salty that we didn't get Miz to Host this Special. I mean he fits perfectly into both categories.
