He was definitely not as drunk as Tyler but he definitely wasn't sober or acting sober.
I think it did start off again as "fake" or played up for the sake of the show and what was airing at the time. Now it seems as though they're genuinely trying to work on things. Taylor has no problem gaining followers either way and she knows that so these people will have to give better reasons for why they think they're faking it.

They definitely changed their casting for season five. I'm watching the beginning and end of the first couple ones, and this season five group is super messy. They definitely casted drama queens and made it more difficult so people would actually watch this thing
I remember the first couple of seasons they gave them more truth booths and made it easier for potential perfect matches to get into the truth booth and this season they give them an extra couple AND made the last two getaway challenges so that they couldn't really pick their match (well, Joey screwed that one up but still.)
(I'm not counting any of Derrick's alleged hook ups he spoke about or Kathyrn/Tyler because we didn't see them on screen and they would have made the chart a lot harder).

And Joey said on Afterbuzz that he didn't actually screw it up, he thought it was Hannah but it turned out to be Cas and they dubbed a voiceover of him talking about wanting to take Cas on a date to make it look like he deliberately messed it up for the house.
So Queen Kaylen did an IGLive at like 4 in the morning & due to Daylight Savings + me being a night owl I was up to watch it lmao
- She straight up said that season 5 was going to be the first losing season regardless. She talked about knowing how the show usually works & how season 4 had it figured out by the 7th or 8th one (can't remember what she said) but had to bide time to make all 10 episodes. She was also told that season 5 had all the matches figured out by ep. 9 & was all set to win the money. However, Shannon was pulled to the side by producers and told to deliberately choose one of the 3 that wasn't her perfect match. Whether Shannon got a big check to do it, she doesn't know but she also talked about how dumb most of the people who do the show really are & that it's not hard at all for the producers to get inside their heads & sway things in the direction that production wants to go.
- Talked a lot about how there are a lot of lost people on the show who are willing to do anything for fame, no matter how it comes across or what it does to their rep. Also said how she feels its corny that these people try to fake relationships after the show as if it will get them to real-life "Power Couple" status.
- Said Gio's whole "anti-Reality TV" thing is a farce; he's one of the main ones wanting a reality TV relationship & trying to holler at all these different reality show girls (AYTO, RW and some others).
