Twin Peaks, obviously. But why is everybody calling it a reboot? It's not a reboot, it's continuation, basically season 3.

I think it'll be a bit of both tbh... it hasn't been on in over 25 years now and my guess is that there will be a lot of people tuning in that have never seen the first 2 seasons. They will have to reintroduce the town, maybe the Palmer mystery from all those years ago, and get people into the weirdness all over again. Plus i'm sure it'll have a new mystery too so i'm not sure how much is "continuing" over from Season 2. And also, another reason the show will have new fans is because the cast has a lot of new characters or well-known actors making cameos. So even though plenty of characters will be returning and the story is still going to follow the original main characters, it's a bit of reboot as well. That's just my opinion.

From what has been confirmed so far, the last 7 days of Laura's life will be central to the new season (which I don't think Lynch is even calling a season. He says it's an 18-hour-long movie without an episodic structure in mind). So I think the original series (mostly season 1, since Lynch wasn't that involved with season 2 and wasn't happy with how it turned out) and especially Fire Walk With Me (Bowie was scheduled to film, but unfortunately didn't make it) will be still the base of the new storylines. Apparently it will center on Cooper making his way back to Twin Peaks (starting, I think, in Las Vegas, where big part of filming took place), and, I guess, on solving th big cliffhanger from the second season. Let's not forget that the last thing Laura Palmer says to Coop in the original series is "I will see you in 25 years" Wink So this seems like a logical continuation. It's been 25 years and it's only logical that Twin Peaks has lots of new characters. People die, retire, move out, are born - the circle of life. But I don't think Lynch is going to shift focus from the original show. I also wouldn't expect him to help new viewers catch up. It's Lynch we're talking about, he's not going to make things easy, he really doesn't care if it's accessible, especially not today, when there's much more room for creativity on tv than in the 90s. Have you seen Inland Empire? He doesn't care if we "get it", that's why I love him.

Oh, and I forgot about the show I'm most excited for in 2017: ROADSIDE PICNIC! It's actually one of my favorite books, and Matthew Goode is great (loved him in Stoker), so they better not screw it up. I still haven't seen Man In High Castle, because I'm afraid it's not on par with ****.

I just finished The Killing and It sucks there weren't more seasons. Holder was my fav character.

My must-see:Crazy Ex-GirlfriendThe AmericansThe LeftoversOrphan BlackAtlantaMaster of NoneWestworld was very good, but nowhere near my faves. The biggest problem with the show, to me,  that it seemed to rely too much on the twist. As soon as you figured it out beyond doubt (around episode 6) there was little to look forward to. But Thandie Newton was still fantastic. What am I most looking forward to this year? Twin Peaks, obviously. But why is everybody calling it a reboot? It's not a reboot, it's continuation, basically season 3.

becauyse for one twin peaks was cancelled in 91/92 so therefore this new one is a remake/reboot

and crazy ex girlfriend and atlanta are amazing.

Again, not a reboot. Lynch himself said it takes place 25 years after the second season, with the same characters, Kyle McLachlan still playing the main character. It would be a reboot if they were to start from scratch. X Files (was a disappointment) and X Files are contituations, sequels. Spiderman franchises are reboots.

Anyway, let's not argue about labels. I'm happy you like Crazy Ex, since apparently absolutely nobody is watching this show. I'm also happy that The Leftovers (another show nobody's watching) is getting some love on this board.

I just watched the seasone finale of The Good Place and holy shit, this show is ******* fantastic. I knew it was good, funny, quirky and super weird, but this ending really put things in perspective. I'm in awe  of how ******* effortlessly great the writing on this show is. Hey Westworld, learn: THIS is how you build a twist. This is what good writing looks like.

Hey guys, watch The Good Place. Really, go and watch it.

I am so glad we have more Good Place viewers.

Also I meant to tell you audrey more people need to watch MCEG as well. I know its on cw but ****. I still wish 90210 and MP2K9 owuld've worked out but the Rebecca ***** had no ******* place working on that show. When Gabe and Jeff left so should've the show.

Yessss that finale was EVERYTHING. On hindsight it all made so much sense, but I would have never seen it coming. Ted Danson's acting was phenomenal too. Ugh probably gonna rewatch it.

Also, I just remembered that this is January....why the **** did they go off so early? I hope its not cancelled.

It was always supposed to be 13 episodes as far as I'm concerned, kind of like with HTGAWM where Viola said she would not do more than 15 episodes per season. The ratings have been decent to good so I don't think it will be cancelled. I'm glad it's a limited series though because I don't think full seasons would work for this kind of show.

*does the macarena in happiness* I loved this show from day one which is weird because Ted Danson normally bores me. In rl though I love his marriage to Mary Steenburgen

I'm pretty sure it's going to be renewed. Ratings were good (very good, considering it's NBC) and I can really see it getting some Emmy love, for Danson and the writing. Critics love the show, the reviews are constantly great, and NBC can't rely only on SVU for they programming. NBC needs critical acclaim. I know they have This Is Us, but the appeal of that show is beyond me (Sterling K Brown is great, but that's about it). For comedies, they have The Good Place, Superstore and Powerless is about to premiere now (I hope it does good, Alan Tudyk and Danny Pudi deserve it), I think they're keeping all of these. Come on, they kept Community for 5 years and those ratings were abysmal! I love Community beyond words and I'm glad they stuck with it, but it only proves that an NBC show is always safe as long as more than three people watch it. Also, they like Michael Schur.

I'm still ****** that NBC passed on Baywatch after season 1 in favor of shitty Fresh Prince.

"shitty fresh prince" that went on for 6 years. baywatch met its end. no one cared anymore.

I totally feel you about shitty TIU like that show is boring and overhyped. They said the same thing about Heroes and Revolution and both were cancelled.

And I love SVU this season since Stabler and Amaro ***** left it got MUCH better. But they need to give Olivia a chance to have a man. They are basically perpetuating that because she has this kind of job she can't keep a man. Tucker was cheesy though but at least he tried with her. Same thing wkith Brian Cassidy (season 1; 13-15)

No one cared but yet it got a movie coming out the 22nd of next month a sequel and a new series on the way....

FP is tired. One can only see the Daphne Maxell Reid episodes so much before its revolting. I see if you said A Different World which was miles ahead of the travesty.

and yet people still talk about fresh prince, there is talk about a revival, and who knows what else. But anyways, the Baywatch movie looks like complete *** so who cares

People STILL talk about a lot of things, Baywatch constantly being one of them. Maybe it doesn't air in Canada, who cares

As for it being "complete ***" that's what they get for putting Rock's dumb *** and gay *** efron in it. Like they did not have to be established characters....it should've been a (loose) continuation. David Charvet, Pam Denise Anderson and Alexandra Paul are the one and only Matt Brody, CJ Parker, LT. Stephanie Holden (respectively)

And yes I believe it'll flop like GI Joe Restoration.

underrated show last fall - The Exorcist!!!! I just got back into watching it and i must say i still love it.. i don't know why i stopped (probably cause i missed 3 eps when i went to europe and just never caught back up)

Just got to the end of the 5th episode and HOLY SHIT. That was crazy. The exorcism throughout the episode, the ambulance at the end, and then that TWIST!!!! Holy shit i did not see that coming. highly recommended if you like a good horror show

SPOILERS geena is ragan ************** im done!!!!

Does Sleepy Hollow still come on? Used to be one of my favorite shows til they ****** it all up.

**** YESS

I'm still so confused though, I'm gonna rewatch tonight but everything about this was amazing and  Aubrey's return to tv was everything I was hoping for and more.

If anyone is a fan of American Horror Story: Asylum (my fav season)... i highly recommend watching The Exorcist. It has the exact same tone and feeling of that season, mixed in with the original Exorcist.

like i hate superhero shows (aside from Jessica Jones, and the first season of Daredevil), but this was just simply outstanding!!! It is farrrrr from your typical marvel show.. it is brilliant television, period. Anyone that doesn't like all the marvel ****, but does like good telly, i HIGHLY recommend you check this out. It's like the mutant child of a Wes Anderson film and a Stanley Kubrick film (most notably A Clockwork Orange)

Is Legion based on the movie?

Is Legion based on the movie?

no nothing to do with that lol isn't that about an arch angel or something? that shit was terrible

this is about the xmen character, legion (who isn't in any of the movies). He's the son of Charles Xavier. he has schizophrenia and the power to control things with his mind. in the show he's just learning that what he thought was just a mental illness might be more than it seems. it deals a lot with mental illness which i like and it handles the subject very well.

Is Legion based on the movie?

Legion is about Prof X's son.

HBO's Big Little Lies premiere was so good!!!! I love a good murder mystery Smile
