You aren't wrong it has gone down every season since Coven. It's a shame Coven went in the direction it did. When i heard the theme was witches i was expecting a scary *** season, but we basically got a Harry Potter theme season instead lol. Everyone should watch the first 4 episodes of Freakshow just for the super creepy clown that I am sure gave more than a few people nightmares. Hotel was so horrible & weird i couldn't get past the first 3 episodes.

my sentiments exactly.. thought i do have to say i enjoyed watching Season 1 the most. The whole aura of that classic haunted house story and all the characters just made it really pleasurable viewing. Season 2 was the best "Horror" story by far tho. Coven I actually didn't mind upon rewatch... it definitely felt sloppy towards the end but i did enjoy it (especially the opening credits). I had to force myself to finish Freakshow I hated it so much and Hotel I didn't even bother getting to the end. Just so bad. Evan Peters' character was the only good thing in that season.

I want the new theme to be about monsters. Like the classic horror movies that featured Dracula, Wolf man, The Mummy, Frankenstein & the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Could be a cool throwback to old horror movies.

I definitley get that vibe off of some of the teasers, but the most consistent theme i've seen it sort of a Children of the Corn, Texas Chainsaw, countryside Horrror genre. And there were leaked pictures of a Roanoke village (famous for disappearing along with all of its colonists and mentioned in Season 1 a few times). So i feel like it'll be set somewhere out in the cornstalks lol but I don't know with some of these teasers. There is a lot of "baby" teasers too... like maybe the return of michael from Season 1? Maybe he's about to turn everyones horror fears into real life? That'd be fun if they did a sort of Cabin in the Woods meta season? haha

Ryan Murphy's problem is that he doesn't complete a season before it airs. So he listens to fan reactions and changes his script based on that.
He has good premises, but poor execution.
Mary Eunice has to be my favorite character in the entire franchise, she ******* killed it.

Sister Jude is my favorite from the show, I loved how her character came full circle. Mary was fantastic as well.
