Who said they're not interested? A paid vacation and a chance to win money is a great opportunity. Just cause you're not athletic or physically strong that doesn't mean you shouldn't go on the challenge. Look at Ana and Shauvon, they weren't athletic or strong but they went on and provided a lot of entertainment. Same with Devyn and Jemmye.
I said people who do the real world don't have to do the challenge if they aren't interested... Meaning that some people may want to be on reality TV but aren't very intersested in competing. See Arielle, Jamie, etc. You can be a reality TV person without needing to do the challenge.
And yea it is a chance to win money but if you can't hold your own it's unlikely you will be winning money in most cases. Not impossible like you said with Devyn or Jemmye.
But I'm referring to this season. People who aren't reality TV personalities (the bloodlines) came on the show for a reason.. to make money. It's just disappointing to watch The Challenge when 90% of the cast can't complete the missions. I'd watch The Real world if I JUST wanted to see entertainment.
Also, a lot of people who aren't personal trainers and crossfit buffs can swim. I feel like the missions haven't been that hard/insane lately and even the people who are athletes/workout haven't been doing that great. I personally love the missions and watch the challenge to see the challenges first, then entertainment second. Like I said if I was only interested in the drama/entertainment I would watch just stick to the real world.I feel like in the past the average competitiors still would do pretty well.
It's not just about physical talent. A lot of them appear to be in good shape, but it could come down to technique, intelligence, and overall heart. It's not just that they failed, but they failed miserably. They were pathetic, to the point that it may make viewers at home wonder if they could do better.

I know for a fact I would have done better in that challenge, I'm not athlete when it comes to water but **** I live on a lake and used to thrive in the water in the summer time. Then again I'm sure from the viewer aspect it looks a lot easier than it was to actually be there trying to partake.
I kinda enjoyed this mission. Seemed more mental than physical though. I'm disappointed that none of the girls completed it though. Especially Aneesa, she was literally right there and was just like nah I quit.
This would have been a great twist if both teams actually wanted to win. Abe/Mike didn't have the heart against Jamie/CM. It truly was a waste of CT and Zach. I am a big Bananas fan but when they brought CT on Cutthroat for that elimination that was freaking sick. You just didn't get that feeling this time, and that is very disappointing.

Yeah, I wish that they just paid CT and Zach $25,000 or something to do that elimination against one another.

please for the love of God, no! The thought of hearing Zach doing those whining, squeaking sounds he does before he starts crying when he wants to quit ((shudders)) it is just too much!!
Mike and abe may not have had there heart in it but let us be real mike wasnt going to win. Jamie is at least big mike had little chance i doubt he had to do much to throw it. Whoever faced mike ct or zach was gunna kill him but jamie zach may have been interesting imo
Finally watched the episode. There's only 12 people there and it really seems like the only people that ever matter are Johnny, Abram, Cara & Aneesa. Maybe Vince & Jamie. ****, I think CT has gotten more air time this season than Cory, Mitch, Rianna & Brianna who have been on 9 episodes. Jenna & Mike are useless and boring but they've had some air time.
I wish Abram had thrown the mission. Though I would have been livid that we wouldn't have seen Abram vs. Bananas in the elimination round.
Aneesa/Rhianna & Jenna/Brianna have no chance to win this. There's no way a 2 girl team wins. ****, if Cory/Mitch or Bananas/Vince get to the final there's no way Cara/Jamie should win.

mission: very cool mission, very sad that so many dq'd.
very nice camerawork with bananas and abe. if there was someone who schould have thrown the mission it was abe, luckily he didn't, so we could see what the mission was.
cory failed for the first time, he isn't allround like i thought he would be. could be major factor in the final.
vince obviously threw the mission, he reached the first point easily and than just went up. i think he reached the first point , just to loose some time. their gameplan is never let bananas go against abe and cory.
voting:
mike really blew it for abe/cara. jenna already said vince his name, with jaime' vote that's three on vince ....they only needed mitch his vote. something fishing went on during the voting.
elimination:
jamie had hard time against ct. ct is not only beast physically , he always uses his head and finds the right strategy. only bananas can match him in that area. ct, whom everone says he is past his his prime, beat the rookie with no sweat.
i expected more for mike. zach was using the wrong strategy (again) but on the last pole he finally get it and was impressive. still i don't thiink mike gave his best.
final thoughts:
a lot of people are complaing about the dq's. The format is the reson why so many are dq'ing this season. only 4 people finished and three of them !!! were voted in (mike, abe, jamie).
that says how wrong this format is.
funny how evereone was talking about ct and not about zach, despite he is younger and stronger...
in fact the only one who was talking about zach was ...ct!
he was cheering for zach and gave him tips....love their friendship!
overall the rookies were no match for the vets, they slaughtered them. so i hope they don't do vets vs rookies, since it would be easy winfor the vets.
Only leroy can match the strenght of ct/zach in this sort of elimination.maybe bananas against zach.
both zach and ct were veryfriendly and zen. i got a feeling that this might be the last apreance of ct.
There was a preview with Jenna crying about Zach wanting her to leave or soemthing. Zach was in the house. Is that coming up or are they just not showing it?

Since Zach first appeared at the elimination and the episode ended right after the elimination (With Cara and Jamie talking back at the house), that scene wouldn't have happened yet. Idk if they are going to show it or just ignore it but if they do it would probably be at the beginning of the next episode.

Maybe because these people aren't athletes. These are just Reality TV folk.
Granted, but they are still in better shape than most of the general population. Or at least they appear to be, which is why I was suprised so many of them failed miserably
i dont know how exactly deep or far the breathing holes were but those holes were not the purest source of oxygen
i see a lot of people saying that they can dive in their pools or lakes. i dont know how much of a difference it makes but swimming underwater in fresh water is easier to a degree. saltwater is denser so its easier to float but harder to chop through when you get below the surface. just keep that in mind.
the biggest beef i had with the episode was bringing in CT and zach. how pointless and stupid. CT and zach arent standardized robots much less the same size so how do you expect the two chosen pit members to get a fair fight when they're not even fighting the same opponent? CT will never be zach and Zach will never be ct so either jamie or mike will be have a more difficult or easier opponent. they did this dumb shit on cutthroat too with tina and CT and it didnt work then and it shouldnt work now. they try so hard to bring tacky shock value to the game by pulling this shit and all it ends up doing is undermining the integrity and fairness of the competition.

I agree with all of this. You think they would have learned after multiple cast members on Cutthroat stated how it was unfair for MTV to bring CT and Tina back. I remember Jenn and Tyler saying on one of the online aftershows that MTV ruined a great gulag that could have happened with Johnny vs. Tyler and Theresa vs. Tori. And Derrick also brought up how it was unfair on the reunion.

Agreed. It is so dumb and I am so against eliminations like that. It's not fair to the competitiors and personal I would rather see them fight for their spot against each other. Not fight against people are in the game who they are obviously going to lose to.
It was even worse on Cutthroat having two people go against the same person at different times. Like obviously whoever goes first is going to wear the opponent out causing the second person to have an easier time. It especially sucks when the people can easily throw it to whoever they want to see win since they aren't in the game. (Tina throwing it to Tori when Theresa did much better). Zach could have easily thrown it too to help Jenna get rid of Cara Maria and CT is friends with Cara so he could have thrown it to help her etc.
CT says in this that he could have stayed in the house or just visited it but opted not to becuase he didn't want to deal with the BS in the house , but zach chose too(becuase of jenna). Also it's rare but he talks about his life outside of the show a bit.

I also see this being CT's last appearance (at least for a while if not for good) & I'm honestly looking forward to seeing BMP scramble & get in panic mode. Serves them right.

Honestly, if they keep paying CT good money to show up for a couple days/week he'll do it
This challenge definitely has been the worst in terms of imbalanced competition since The Ruins. It honestly blows my mind that they can sit in a room and decide having Guy/Guy, Guy/Girl, and Girl/Girl teams compete against each other is fair and balanced. When the teams first split I thought this could be an interesting format, but all it did was make Challenge Days completely pointless, then to top it off the Challenges have all been lame or just retreads of challenges from previous years. I don't think I'll ever stop watching the show, but I'm going to hope and pray that BMP realizes that actual competition > relationship drama bullshit.
The only logical reason I can see why BMP decided to bring Zach and CT back is too create a memorable moment just like the Johnny's Backpack moment. Unfortunaltely for them, it didn't happen, and they should just put these dumb twists for cheap shock value to rest.

That elimination there was really no way to have a backpack type moment i mean they got trounced and it looked bad but still without hitting you can't have an epic moment. What it did show is how much stronger a CT is than the up and comer new era type guy jamie. I wish vince did this against either of them just to see if it would be close or a blowout. I think it was just BMP trying to get a ratings increase with big names and hype and the big fan bases.. It did go up so it worked i guess.

I think they planned the Diem tribute before thinking of the heavy hitter twist. They probably figured CT would be there and it would be cool to have him do something in an elimination since he will already be in Turkey. Then they probably called Zach seeing if he would be interested and brought him in.
