Thought i'd start a Generic Thread since there are always a ton of one-off reality shows, and not every show needs to have its own thread. Here you can speak about any reality TV show you'd like.. from years ago, what's currently on air, or what you've heard about the upcoming seasons.
Has anyone watched "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" (the original UK edition... not the god awful US version)?? It's currently on air and i'm loving this season... i've seen the last 3 series live (streamed a few others non-live from years ago).. and its such a fun little show (I started watching it to fill in the gap for Big Brother). 13 "celebs" live together in a jungle (in Australia) for 3 weeks and compete in various competitions (usually involving creepy critters of all sorts), fighting to win safety and luxury food for the camp (as opposed to basic rations). You can find a lot of episodes on youtube. Similarly to BBUK, the general UK public vote who they want to compete in said competitions and who they wish to kick out, leaving the final person as the King or Queen of the Jungle. Also similarly to BBUK, the drama is ongoing from day to day... when those guys get basic rations, they are not the happiest bunch haha
Also Catfish is having the Untold Stories again, and its actually pretty hilarious... the terrible OTT acting gets me everytime. And the stories are sometimes so much more messed up than the actual Catfish episodes.
Animal Planet had a series called King of the Jungle. That show was fantastic. Or at least season two was.

Has anyone ever heard of a show called Solitary? It ran from 2006-2010 on Fox Reality Channel... probably one of the funniest/torturous shows ever in existence. The contestants that signed up for that really must be crazy, because the things they make them go through were crazyyyyy (like these ppl seriously all have mental breakdowns at least once an episode)... 9 ppl locked up in indiviudal pods with no human contact/outside world contact for the entire duration of the season... the only company they have is a computer "Val" (obviously a nod to Hal from 2001: A Space Odyssey) who tells them what they can and cant do. You have to see it to believe it though.... I watched it years ago, but i'm sure some eps are still up on youtube/streaming sites. Great show, but you'd have to be crazy to sign up!!! (good thing fame-obsessed reality stars are all crazy)
Solitary was freaking amazing. One of the best reality shows ever. Too bad it was on a failure of a network. I could see it still being around if it was on a different channel.
right?? I didn't even know Fox had a (now discontinued) reality channel until looking up this show. It really was amazing... it had a super low budget, but it didn't matter because it was just pure entertainment... we are sick humans - we love watching others get tortured and pushed to their limits. Like one of my favourite parts of the show were the elimination competitions - where it was basically a test of "how long could you last" and the first person to stop would be kicked off the show... but the twist is that nobody else is told when the first person stops... so they just keep going and going for no reason, until they finally they cant take it anymore (could be hours after the first person dropped and left the show lol).
I really liked the reality show where the kids had to run the town... Kid Nation. It was a really good concept. Interesting to see how kids worked problems out.
THAT SHOW IS THE FREAKING BEST!!! Oh my God if you haven't watched it PLEASE watch it. It's on Youtube. SOOOOO ******* entertaining.
I was a HUGE solitary fan. I actually watched 3.0 again a few months ago.
I rewatched 1.0 and 2.0 a couple months ago too, but 3.0 was my favorite by far.
I really thought Rob Kardashian was the reality star on the Biggest Loser. #TRAGIC

I haven't watched this show in a few seasons and I don't see myself watching this one. Bob shouldn't be the host and I personally didn't care for him much as a trainer. Dolvett does a better job dealing with the contestants emotionally and I don't know the new lady trainer. Jillian did right by leaving after that one lady lost all that weight and looked sick at the finale. I don't see the show being around much longer.
OMG i remember that!! She went to like a super unhealthy weight just to win the show.. it was crazy. I havent seen the show in years... mostly just watch the finales of it to see the results haha... definitely not something I follow. I didn't even know Bob was now the host haha Yeah I don't recognize the girl trainer... maybe she's new this season, or was Jill's replacements a couple seasons ago
I don't even watch the finale anymore. I just go online to NBC to see the after pictures when the show is over. LOL
I found all of 4.0 on youtube!! i've never seen this season so its great to revisit this series all these years later haha such a messed up show
Anyone watching the farewell season of American Idol? Or has it completely died that no one cares anymore hahaha... i'm checking out the auditions as per usual (doubt ill stick around for the live shows)

the last performer on tonight's episode gave me goosebumps! surprises me how reality tv can still tug at the heart strings haha... American Idol hasn't lost its touch

Lip Sync Battle KILLLED IT last night!!!!!!!! Both Tatum's were brilliant (but Jenna has the upperhand imo... her performance of Pony from Magic Mike was the best thing EVER!!!! I was suprisingly turned on hahaha :P) But Queen B at the end though... showstopper

i remember watching the first season. My mom was a big fan of the show, probably more than i was.
I remember watching Rivals 2 on TV which was my first challenge season so then i did some more exploring. On USA i came across a show called Summer Camp around the same time Rivals 2 was airing. it was interesting and i think Debut Album liked the show too.
