I don't mind this new school era of challengers but I do think a few more old schoolers each season would be nice. Granted many decline. Beth would only come back for an old vs. new challenge because she won't be shafted so much, same as Veronica. Coral I think would come back for that as well or maybe something else but with her being a new mommy and stay at home one it seems, idk if she'll be willing to leave for that long.
Paula, Jenn, and Svetlana all seem to be done. Though I could see Jenn pulling a KellyAnne and coming back one day. I didn't care for Jenn but I wouldn't mind seeing her again. It's really only the guys who want to come back.

Oh and Mark retiring really screwed him. I think had he not retired we maybe could have seen him on Free Agents 2. He doesn't really fit most other themes but individual.
Did Syrus brought anytging to olde challenges? I have never see his real world season or old challenges other than the ruins, he was zzzz on that one.Mark is boring too in my opinion.

No wonder y'all like this new challenge with these AYTO cast members. Because you never watched the older seasons so you can really only judge the newer seasons smh I personally like Syrus. He was a tough guy but I would like to see him get dragged now and he's farrrrrrrrrr better than Leroy. I haven't liked Leroy since Rivals 1.

Plus if anything, Syrus knows how to party...he is the one who gets those Spring Break appearances that a lot of the castmembers go on together.
I'm kind of at the point now though that these newer fans really don't deserve the epicness that the old-schoolers brought.....let them have these flop **** like Nany & Jenna. They couldn't even begin to understand a castmember like Arissa & would probably dislike her bc she wouldn't put up with a lot of the ******* these new fans love.

I actually have watched some episodes of The Duel , not the entire season. But from the Gaunlet 3 to now, I have seen every season. Seasons 2 was the first one on TV that I watched.
I have never seen the old battle of the seasons , both sexes , the firsts infernos or gaunlets. I have seen like little clips of it, about the mean girls/Beth

I made my boyfriend watch the first episode of the duel yesterday. And he actually liked it. I remember watching that season when it first aired. They use to play sooooo many reruns and I watched them all.
I even remember that awkward moment when my mom walked into my room while I was the gauntlet and Abram/Veronica/Rachel were making out in the bathtub. So awk. She even banned MTV from my room *********
So I had to watch the challenge in the living rooms on the weekends. DEAD.
Mean Girl era > JEK era > New School era > Old School era.
Eh the JEK era with Paula, Bananas, Kenny, Jenn, Evan was alright. That whole Inferno 3-Cutthroat era was my least fave. A lot of randoms that never saw the light of day. And many people kinda disappeared during this era or popped up every other season.
I'm always of the opinion that the JEK era is what drove this show into the ground. A lot of the longtime older fans stopped watching because of them & it was just a generally dark time for the show in general.
Had those clowns never been on the show, I really feel like it would have been COMPLETELY different, but in positive ways.
The only reason I think we got a bunch of AYTO this season was because so many RW cast members declined. So in order to get 13 teams, they had to bring in some AYTO people.
It seems like BOTB was about to not have any AYTO people until some alumni declined forcing them to cast Christina and probably Dario.
Season 29, I think if they go individual then we may get those who have been on a challenge like Dario, Devin, Amanda, etc. but possibly no one new. Unless they do an Exes 3. Then we will probably get a ton of them because I see many RW people declining.
