The only twist I remember is the DaVonne power that didn't even count and Day and Van being safe on day 1 and having to chose two other people to be safe.
Julie Chen said that they scrapped it since there was so much good gameplay happening. They didn't want to clog the show more than it already is. Since the dynamics in the house were so interesting this year, they said **** it and cancelled the takeovers. I can see them coming back tho since numbers are dwindling. true but survivor takes 35-ish days to film vs 3-4 months for Big brother.
and survivor usually films back to back; also consider (atleast for canadians like myself) BBCAN airs in the winter so two seasons of big brother on at the same time might be overkill
