I blame Katelyn tbh if she's done the puzzle so many time's before then yell Sarah that don't just stay quiet
Both were at fault. Katelyn should have helped but also Sarah was this self-proclamed puzzle wizard. Neither worked in a team. Jasmine might not have been such an asset, but I think Jonna and Jazzy worked together well which is why they won.
Rivals had good things about it such as Jonna/Jasmine, Leroy/Mike, Same *** teams and the format of the challenge itself. Laurel destroying Paula.
But it also had bad things about it like it being yet another challenge that JEK are allowed to control everything. Not having actual rivalries that were needed to make this format good, Ct/Adam losing and Backpack/Tyler winning and Paula/Evelyn.
Rivals deserves an B. Nothing more and nothing less
Pros
1) There was enough drama and fights going on in the house (Ty vs. Adam R., Camila/Theresa vs. Jonna/Jasmine, CT vs. Wes, Laurel vs. Paula/Tyler/Wes, Jenn vs. Cara Maria, Cara Maria vs. everyone, CT vs. The Mob, CT/Mandi/Laurel love triangle, Jenn using Adam
2) Different format and same *** teams
3) IMO, the toughest final ever (Rivals 1 & Exes 1 were brutal in their own way)
Cons
1) The missions were majority water or above water (except for Car Crusher)
2) The eliminations weren't good (except for Unburied, Rail and T-Bone)
3) You can definitely can see the producers catering eliminations to certain pairs to keep them safe. IMO to this day, I still question why Leroy/Mike didn't go into elimination against Wes/Kenny. Imagine if they did and it was the Going Up elimination. Wes/Kenny would have went home in a heartbeat because Leroy can climb. Also, Jonna/Jasmine vs. Laurel/CM was definitely the producer's way of saving Laurel/CM

You're probably not wrong but with the jasmine Jonna one you are, they did that for costs reasons, they were leaving the country after so they wanted to do a cheap one where all you needed was some rope
Catch 22 was terrible. Camilla and Jemmye destroyed that and production had to reuse the same footage to make that elimination look competitive. Snapper was good with Knight and Preston vs Robb and Derek. That was good competition.

The female jungles on Rivals 2 were just terrible. Cara Maria/Cooke vs. Jonna/Nany and Aneesa/Diem vs. Camila/Jemmye had potential to be great elimination rounds because those teams were strong. Making them compete in Snapper and Hanging by a Thread were dumb. I wish we got to see the girls compete in Last Chance and Breaking on Through.
Rivals 2 was definitely worse than Rivals 1 as the storyline sweren't even cohesive or anything outside of stupid, drunen drama. The edit was focosued so much on the same veterans after the rookie revolution last season and every storyline seems to be wrapped up within one episode or so. They also drag CT/Diem out to where it's painful to watch.
Rivals 1 is better just on the Laurel/Cara storyline alone.

I agree with all of this. The Adam/CT storyline was also interesting because they actually despised each other for years. Most of the teams on Rivals 1 actually had some history while the Rivals II teams were super stretched. Rivals II should have been a Rookies vs. Veterans season and most of the cast members said on Derrick's podcast during Seasons 2 that they wanted the Rookies vs. Veterans format. I wanted to see Johnny and Frank go against each other, not work together.

I agree. Doing Rivals 2 after season was a bad decision. Old vs New or Rookies vs Vets would've made much more sense.
Rivals 2 had relevant drama.
Knight vs Marlon wasn't drunken drama as u can tell Marlon still struggles with that.
Diem and CT was still an interesting storyline, and provided real catty drama. And as much as y'all hate this Rivals 2 brought entertainment in EVERY episode. There was not one episode where things were dull or expected. As I said be the only bad thing about Rivals 2 was the stretched pairs. Rivals 2 brought the ratings.

Rivals 2 was good drama wise but I HATED the final and I really HATED the reunion. That final was easy compared to BOTS2, Exes1, Rivals1, Cutthroat & FM2.
Drama/Fights we had Trashelle vs. Aneesa, Knight vs. Marlon, Jordan vs. Frank, Diem vs. Camila/Jemmye/Cooke, Jemmye/Camila vs. Bananas/Knight, Theresa's voting error, Anastasia vs. CT and CT vs. Diem (Which is the only part I thought was overdone)
Really the only 2 things that were bad about Rivals 2 were that 1) it was Rivals 2, and 2) Cooke got a replacement partner but Sarah didn't. It should have been a different theme; otherwise the challenge was ok.

Who would have been Sarah's partner though? The only one I can think of on the spot would have been Shavoun. Maybe Kellyanne but that's a huge stretch.
Also, Rivals 2 would have been even better and made more sense if Wes/Frank were paired up and Bananas/CT were paired with each other. That way Bananas & Frank can battle it out

I would've given that season an A- or B+
Too boring to be anything higher than a B.
The season was lacking some but it was a new refreshing theme which I liked

Well look at it this way, didn't they recieve one of the lowest prize amounts since they had to split 4 ways?
Imo I think Rivals 2 was better than Rivals 1.

And the jungles especially the girls ones
True.
I liked alot of the jungles that season personally.
Only the girl ones were disappointing. The guy jungles were on point.
Snapper was garbage so was hanging by a thread .
I liked last chance and breaking on through was cool.
Catch 22 was alright

Snapper sucked Just A TERRIBLE Elimination
I liked Hanging by a thread. Hehe.

How was catch 22 a better elimination than Snapper???

Rivals 2 was tougher than Cutthroat though.
