So I don't know much about casting for the real world(I know a lot more about Big Brother, Survivor, and the Amazing Race), but a friend showed me this. I know it's the kiss of death to post online that you've been selected in the casting process for the shows I mentioned, is it the same for The Real World or do they really not care about keeping their cast a secret? Also, isn't casting still going on? Is she just full of ****?
Why do they constantly post about moving to the next round? At this rate they're not going to have a cast considering everyone blabs about casting the second they get further in it.

I could be totally wrong but maybe they are more lenient with social media now.

Jamie from Explosion just mentioned last week that they don't like you to post on social media while in the casting process. I don't expect us to see any of these people who are running their mouth. Most of them only want to be on because they think they'll be famous.
Really? Do people really think the Real World will make them famous? This wasn't even true 15 years ago, when ratings were good. Now it's just ridiculous.
Supposedly people are getting phone interviews, skype interviews, and asked to make casting tapes who don't live near a city that's doing the casting calls.

awesome. watch the location be a ******* rehash like Miami/NYC instead of Dallas/ATL

I have a friend that got the "next round" email, she said that it said an agent would start contacting people in 2-4 weeks based on the application. Do they really stop all their reading of apps and just go straight into calling people? Just seems like people posting about it to get attention, to me.

They are basically going through over 20,000 applicants and they will be doing so throughout the casting period. They are likely making decisions on people as they go through each of their applictions being that there are too many to go back to later. So I'm sure if they see someone they like they just make the call around the time they view their application.
I see. Apparently it also said something about being contacted to go to a 1 on 1 interview., from the application. Something tells me that just means a phone call or Skype, but could that suggest changing their casting process and just going off how much they like an application and straight to interviewing a person 1 on 1?

The people receiving these phone and skype interviews are people who don't live near casting call locations. If you live near a casting call and they like something in your application you are invited to a casting call and if you stand out there you receive a call that day to come in and do a one on one interview in person like the next day.
REAL WORLDs: Collide.
I tossed that idea out months ago. MTV, take it, but cast some of us in exchange.
I guess we're making progress...

Casting just started, some people confuse moving to another round as making thecast
As soon as you post about it, you're out.
HAHAHAAH if these people were actually chosen and just destroyed their opportunity.

They also don't realize they got the same emails as a lot of other people.

Witty: These people are idiots then.
As Lurker said I'm glad they are posting because it helps ensure we don't get these idiots on the show. We'll leave those type of people for AYTO.
They should cast superfans. We're smart enough to shut the **** up.
Vevmo's message to the casting directors this season:

Don't make me cry.

Ahh ok. She's been going a little crazy over it so hopefully I can offer some answers to her, thanks!
