I agree to a certain extent. I wouldn't say she is "unathletic" but she, in my opinion, cracks under pressure and doubts herself. It doesn't help that she has low self confidence. But overall I do kinda agree with you.

theresa shoudl be better or at least on the same level as sarah and she displayed that last season. shes better than nany in practically every way so putting them on the same level makes no sense. shes probably noticeably better than paula and diem as well
cara maria did amazing on free agents and that cant be denied but prior to that she was about as unremarkable as a competitor could be and showed little to no potential despite all the many opportunities shes had with amazing partners that did not hold her back with full seasons back to back.
theresa, camila, sarah have all had their potential smothered on multiple seasons because of stupid partners or weird situations. all three of those girls combined probably had less fair opportunities and partners compared to just cara's history alone

Cara does get great partners but they lose to the best. Ev is GOAT with Paula who is a long distance runner. Abe lost to Ty. Team FM was bound to lose due to Easy. Cooke/ Cara lost again to Wonder Woman Emily and Paula. She IMO is one of the best but can have bad luck.

How would Cara beat Theresa in any elimination? I mean just from Free Agents, I can see Theresa beating CM in Balls In, Oppenheimer & Wrecking Wall, not sure about Looper, but that's 3/4 of the Free Agents Eliminations. This is nothing against Cara as I kinda like her, but her showings before FA weren't the best. And I would definitely put Theresa in the second tier and maybe even above Sarah/CM/Camila, she's shown to be a strong competitor and she was dealt with a bad hand in these Challenges. Putting her in the same tier as Nany/Paula/Diem (can't say KellyAnne, she wasn't on for a long time) is underestimating her.
On rivals two, what if Theresa had Cooke, and Cara Maria had jasmine?
theresa/cooke would have probably won mind over splatter because cara/cooke were second place in that mission despite cara being much slower than theresa on the ladder.

color correction wouldve had the same result since theresa has shown that she has good memory in combination with endurance
theresa/cooke as a team woudl have done much more damage than cara/cooke imo. actually also nany, jonna, camila paired with cooke wouldve yielded better results since all those girls indivdiaully outperformed CM on rivals 2. cara maria was a mess that challenge for the most part and she was solely responsible for 5/9 challenges that cooke didnt win: blind leading the blind, mind over splatter, rampage, frog smash, swingers were all non-winning positiongs BECAUSE cara either cried about getting shocked, took too long in climbing the ladder, had to fix her knee pad, fell off the platform, or couldnt swim.
the other 3 that they didnt win were game of inches, xxx games and stumped which were probably collectively contributed failures while the last one was trivia

also remember that cara one season AFTER being destroyed by emily, was destroyed once again by marie in the oil pit on seasons when she got tossed out in like 1.5 seconds. camila then stepped in against marie and not only fought ferociously with her for like 10 minutes ...but also ended up winning
i dont blame cara for losing to ev/paula or emily/paula in the final but it wasnt just the final. cara and laurel/cooke were shown up day in and day out even if you take the final out of the picture
also cara is the one that put abe in the elimination round in the first place. if abe had any other girl partner there that day, he wouldnt have gotten last. every single girl that day: rachel, aneesa, diem, camila, robin, paula outperformed cara maria.

You're acting like CaraMaria pulled an Exes 2 Wes & completely avoided it. CaraMaria tried but it just wasn't enough lol. We're talking about emily, I'd see if we we're talking about cutthroat emily, the emily that got outshinned by jenn but no we're talking about Exes 1 emily. She was already a beast by then.
