Surprised to see The Real World with more viewers. I have a feeling both will keep increasing and surpass the million mark. At least both made the list.
I have no clue why 60,000 viewers tuned out before The Challenge started. I guess that's what the Skeletons twist does, but I definitely enjoyed The Challenge's premiere more.

Hope it goes up too.
I think the timeslot is what hurted it. It ended at 12:30 and people have to go to work the next day, so maybe some people tuned out before it ended.

Yeah that's what I thought too after I made my post. I didn't think of it because the show came on an hour earlier for me since I'm in a central time zone, so it wasn't too late.

Where I'm from it started at 12pm (I don't have MTV though). We obviously don't count for the ratings so it doesn't matter anyway.
I'm not really sure what all the current new shows are on MTV, but I just went through last Wednesday to today and didn't see any MTV show in the top 100 besides The Challenge and Real World. Of course, they list the top 100 based off demo. (I'm not sure which is more important)

Nah, how can that makes sense? "I don't like the twist from RW so I won't watch the challenge" lol
It's def. the timeslot an the fact that it ended in the morning. I wasn't expecting huge ratings even though it felt lik a lot of damn people were tuned in and talking about it. I think this is passable for now.

Well, I meant the opposite actually, where more viewers tuned in for the Skeletons and that was it. (based off previous Skeletons ratings)
I think the timeslot killed it. None of my friends that watch the show watched it till Wednesday because it was on so late. Not sure why they killed it with the timeslot, it looks like a promising season plus with the whole Diem's last challenge I think it could have done very well with a 10 pm timeslot.

In my opinion, I feel like it would have got the same numbers at 10 PM as real world 849-900...It seems like that's the highest MTV have doing the past 5 months lol
I am expecting big numbers for the MTV show "eye Candy" they have promoted the show like crazy compared toreal world and exes 2.
I really dont understand the first skeleton being not a big skeleton. Start off with a bang not the ex-boss which was the replacement for the abusive boyfriend. If you do the skeleton twist dont make it one of the weaker skeletons at the beginning. The lead in was bad. Now on to the episode. WHY DO THEY INVITE BACK UNINTERESTING PEOPLE? Jemmye, Leroy,Zach, Jonna, Jessica, and Dustin dont need to be on the show. I could careless about how they are in competitions but you should have interesting charactors. Who else was disappointed Jessica and Dustin were still going to be on TV?
Lastly, the first challenge doesn't need to be half the show and the elimination challenge doesnt need to be that drawn out. Watching people pull other people repeatedly is not amazing TV. The first 15 minutes were intro, 15 minutes was socializing, and the other 32 minutes of air time was the challenges. Those are very close estimates. 7 minutes was the beginning in the house and 8 minutes were after Wes won to decide who to throw in. This is just air time which was in total an hour and 2 minutes.

Not sure if I have ever rolled my eyes harder than I did for this post..

You're complaining about having a girl that she didn't like over an abusive bf? I am glad MTV didn't bring Sylvia's ex bf that beat her up, put her closet and made her got a miscarriage...Plus, she even stated how that damaged her for months after it ended that would be a liability for MTV/BMP. It would be disgusting and taking it way to far of MTV part in my opinion.
Those people in bold have a nice a fan base, plus they are the new regulars. Well, last time I check this show is called the challenge so idk why you're complaining about them showing the challenge and elimination lol
MTV sucks at marketing this show. The Challenge is the type of show that ppl will record instead of watching on the premiere that way they can see it on their own time. Why? Well because this is the type of show that you enjoy watching but won't talk about it with your friends.
Some things that would help would be:
1) Start putting famous challengers on Ridiculousness (Bananas, CT, Zach, etc...) as guests and to promote The Challenge
2) Have people from other MTV shows promote the Challenge by having online interviews with them and asking random questions about their life or upcoming project and in between those random questions ask them how they think they would do on a Challenge
3) More commercials. There have been more commercials for flops like Skins and Buckwild than there have ever been for Challenges.
4) Have someone from the Challenge like Bananas introduce an award at an MTV movie awards or something. That would be huge.
5) More aknowledgement of sponsors. I know that Under Armour and Subway are sponsors of the Challenge but most people don't have a clue. Why not have an Under Armour commercial where they said "the official gear of MTV's The Challenge" or something.

Under Armour should start selling products with the MTV & Challenge logos.

i saw a guy at my gym wearing an UA shirt with the exact design of the ones on Free Agents. It didn't say "Challenge" or anything but it was the exact same design with the white stripes and blank space where the word "Challenge" would be placed.

i hate how tj acts like there is multiple seasons of one format. In this week's show he said "welcome to your second challenge here on this season of battle of the exes 2" like its the same thing over and over. lol. Phrase differently buddy.
Not good at all..

I'm positive that the season will get better numbers...

It did better in the demo than rw though, which is something ppl forget to consider
After all, it's doing better than half the shows on MTV.
Most of MTV is doing bad
Yeah those numbers are descent right now for MTV

I do think it is the timeslot.
lol at the people who said kit will go through the roof.
The demo is the most important part, not the overall.
Those numbers aren't bad for an MTV show not on during primetime.

Great Ideas.
There goes the idea that "PEOPLE" were having about the ratings rising because of the Challenge tragedies... yeah, rating are through the roof.
Lol haters can stop trashing Are you the one 2 ratings as well.
So we aren't tracking ratings anymore or what?
