The first Exes was bland from the start to me. I was never excited about it. This one has a much better cast and I love the Ex-iled twist. Can't wait to see that next week!
I think Exes and Exes II casts each have strengths and weaknesses. The first had a bunch of old schoolers, which was awesome. This one has a bunch of rookies, just as awesome. The major issue with both? The regulars...
That was one of the worst things about it IMO. None of them delivered in any sort of way. Not to mention nothing memeorable or interesting happened during the season..
But this season seems like it'll be MUCH better. There's gonna be legit drama and the missions seem interesting too. Love the Exile Idea and HOPEFULLY there's gonna be legit gameplay. Can't wait.
I KNOW. I don't know spoilers so don't think i'm hinting anything anyone. But I truly hope these idiots play the game and nominate Bananas/Nany as often as they can. If you let the 5-time Champion sit around and win again.. you're the one to blame for it for not making a move. I don't know why no one (besides Jordan) ever targets Bananas early like they do Wes who isn't as threatening as he used to be. Does he threaten them? Offer them money? Jeez
I think the main problem BMP / MTV has with this is though, if you (37-years-old married with 3 kids) go to compete and go to a house where you want to stay out of the drama as much as possible as you want to enjor your time there, than they're more youngier people (maybe in the pool if you were someone from RW / RR) that will get into hook-ups, drunking arguments or fights and that in this key lately in the recent reality tv field that BMP / MTV is going where it's all about drama, hook-ups, fights, arguments, stripclubs as I feel it. Plus, if you watch this show with your family and friends together, people will question your motives why you went on going into that "Rated-r" looking show and they might be ashamed of your participation on that show.
1. Drama naturally exists when competition exists. I'd be there to win. There would be drama and likely drunken arguments because, if you haven't noticed, I voice my opinions--as do most people that have appeared on these shows over the years.
2. Very few of these people have real hook-ups that get camera time. Most of the hook-ups are either off-camera or staged.
3. Motives? THe motive is to win some ,oney and to compete. Anyone that knows me wouldn't question my motivies or be ashamed. Honestly, that's just nonsense. If anyone's family/friends would questions them they need new friends and to consider disowning their family.
Poor kids if they find out where you get / got your money ... Not that you can say : "Kids, I was young and needed the money..."
Money from competiting on a reality show. It isn't like I was Dustin and ****** dudes on TV for a couple of bills.
It isn't like I "need" money. We all "want" money.
The only thing Exes 1 ever had going for it imo was the return of the Road Rulers. Other than that, nothing...never cared to watch the season in its entirety & never will.
Agreed. It's nothing special. At all.
I was so over the CT & Diem love story at that point, it made Rivals II a living **** for me when we were spoonfed it all over again.
I never gave a **** about the whole CT/Diem romance either so to see it rehashed again just really ****** me off. The only Thing Rivals 2 really had going for it is Jordan/Marlon and Cooke/Cara Maria. Other than that it was painfully average and CT took up way too much screen time in the beginning.
Another on point comment. This was when I started to not like CT. I never cared for him before and never understood why people loved him so much after his tantrum on The Duel 2 acting like Adam deserved all that. Then by Rivals 1 I was in love with CT. Exes I rooted for him again. But Rivals 2.. that all stopped. He got WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much air time. The entire season was about him even when he wasn't in a storyline. I couldn't stand to look at his face and seeing him win was even worse with that horrible tribute video he got when he won.
I was so thankful he was pretty under the radar on Free Agents because I was about to go on strike if he was the main character again.

The reason why you don't get cast is because you will look like a fool if you participate with the crazy bunch of young people and to your family, because you could've participate in an other reality show that would be more appropriate for you now.
I'm very curious how the direction of this season will go for the first few episodes. Jon Murray did say that Diem & Knight's passing did affect the editing.
I don't know how early the big fights happen, but I wonder if they'll tone it down.. especially if it's on Diem's last episode.

WHat are you talking about? Did Mark look like a fool on Exes? I get along just fine with people in their 20s. If I was a former cast member of The Real World or Road Rules then the Challenge is absolutely "appropriate". It is honestly absurd anyone believes that people in the 30s are too old for this. Let's stop acting like everyone on these shows are "a crazy bunch of young people"...most of them aren't even young. It isn't like the old days when people did their original show at 21 and younger

He was barely shown at all and I'm sorry, but if you're 37 and older, you might need to move on with your life and let other (younger) get your spotlight.

Why should younger people have the spotlight? What makes them special?
This is honestly the dumbest thing you've ever said and that's saying something

Sorry, but you had your time. Their time is now. Let other have the opportunity to experience what you have. That's why they should get your spotlight, because they have more potential to give you something that the producers are looking for.
Puhhh...I'm sorry that I offended you, but your posts aren't viewed as good either.
I like how we're 5 pages in and the episode hasn't even started.
I like it, because you distract yourself until the episode starts.

See the plummeting ratings--the producers aren't making wise decisions
And, no, they don't have more potential and we've seen that with many of these "young people" that have done multiple challenges.
You're like too young or too stupid to realize how ridiculous your posts are so I won't hold it against you

Um yes they do. They have tons of potential and more than able to carry the show. The Reason the ratings are the way they are is because people want to see the same shit over and over again and don't seem to want to let go of those tired *** vets...And acutally even they aren't doing it either because last season had Backpack/Aneesa/CT and yet the ratings sucked.
Besides what can you. A hypothetical old-school castmember bring to the show? Competition? Sorry. Gonna have to do better than that.

Well...the "old" people won't get the ratings any higher.
Who has more potential to cause any kind of drama? A 37-years-old man with three kids or some one in the mid-20 or early 30's who's desperate and will do anything to get the attention.
Maybe it's me or maybe it you, because while I like some you your post, mostly you have your opinion set and then nothing can change your mind and then you keep using the same arguments every time.

You can't get the viewers attention just by competition drama. You need something else. See how poorly FM2, Cutthroat and FA did ratings-wise. Those three seaons where purely on comeptition drama. Especially not on MTV...

Drama is natural between competitive people...that's part of life
I get that, but moving on is also part of life.
So I move on now.
There's nothing to move on from...people can compete throughout their lives
I think you don't get what I'm trying to say. If you're 40-years-old move on and let other people (preferably younger than you) do this show, because they fit better.
Since it worked out perfectly the last time with DA. If you want to keep talking about this subject, feel free to PM me.
