Here's how I see this. Brandon came out of the gates on fire. He is also the best or at least top 3 best looking guys in house. He is small but very good looking.
I think after Brandon started winning challenges, going in all of the truth booths, getting the 11th girl, and having so much attention around him all the time that people were starting to get very jealous or envious of him. He is very cocky.
He gets emotional at times for Christina but if you can see past it what would this show this season be without him? He is by far the most pivital char due to his attitude and drama that he causes. But it seems like he is being serious about what he says.

In my opinion based on previews they are highly hinting Ellie/Anthony and Ashley/Dario...Then on twitter Nate/Jess are being hint by some cast members even on this episode when Nate chose Jess Curtis was screaming "Perfect Macth". I have never seen an interaction between Brandon/Tyler and Dario/Jess or MTV hinting them.
Tyler can be with Garland they were cuddling in a preview?

I think you might be right. They both seem to be genuinely nice, chill and smarter than your average castmember. I think they have a similar idea of what the show means for them and see it more as a chance to understand themselves. Unlike most of the others, they're not simply trying to get famous.

There are still so many combos left that you can't possibly guess it correctly yet (and I see you were wrong last week). The more interesting question is are they on pace to win or not now at the half way point? Last season at this point they had 1 correct truth booth and 5 lights in the 5th matchup. This time they've had no more than 3 lights but 2 correct truth booths and the week 4 miss eliminates a lot of wrong pairings. I still think the odds are clearly against them at this point (but the odds were still against them last season at this point as well).
Also, what happened to the main guy who posted in the original AYTO forum last season? Have I just missed his posts or is he ghost this season?
LOL, I did post a lot last season trying to figure out all of the possible combos and their chances of winning! Still posting here a few times but I'm not planning on spending nearly as much time on it this season.
My conclusion remains that the winning odds (absent cheating by help from producers) are extremely low based on there being millions of combinations. I still don't understand how they won last year (with one matchup to spare) if they did it all on their own and claimed not even to spend much time on strategy.

Just as a reminder to people at the start of the game there are 3,628,800 different ways you can pair up 10 guys and 10 girls. When you add Christina into the mix as the 11th girl it adds another layer of complexity.
One of the things I suggested last season is that to understand a complex math problem like this you want to start small. Suppose for instance you started with 6 guys and 6 girls and gave the group 6 truth booths and 6 matchups. I would maintain that even in that scenario (with 720 possible combos at start of game) the odds are very unlikely to win. When you go up to 10 guys and 10 girls the odds become far worse.
Why do you guys think not as much people are tuning in to this season? Lack ofpromotion or this show was just a one hit wonder? Or Being at 10 and NOT after teen Mom like the first seasonaffect ratings.

Well I think when you have 10 girls (or boys) to choose from, don't you think that you can almost forget/eliminate three, four girls (boys) for you right away just by talking to them or them not having any similiar interests than you? I mean both season had girls / boys pairs that were/are so different in their views / lifestyle that you were / are sure not a match. Why not use them to search for those who are "perfect" matches.

What makes me wonder though, we are they already casting for a new season if it's not a success? I feel like MTV is just liking the idea of playing with perfect matches that they think the concept of the show is great TV. Normally, it should be, but almost 91 % of this cast just isn't good TV or they edited it pretty weak. Ironic though that this season was better drama-wise, but the people are just bad.
Nevertheless, I believe that after the next one or two seasons, they will start using these casts to do a Challengeesque show where it's all about pure winning and not love. It's what producers love to do. They did it with I Love Money, The Challenge, Bad Girls Club All Stars Battle and now they will use "Are you the One? Money edition".
(Probably why they focus so much about winning those "get-away-date" "challenge". It started with Shanley, Ryan with last season and now Brandon.
