LOL, I did post a lot last season trying to figure out all of the possible combos and their chances of winning! Still posting here a few times but I'm not planning on spending nearly as much time on it this season.
My conclusion remains that the winning odds (absent cheating by help from producers) are extremely low based on there being millions of combinations. I still don't understand how they won last year (with one matchup to spare) if they did it all on their own and claimed not even to spend much time on strategy.
Completely unbelievable to someone like me with a strong background in math and permutations but might come across as plausible to most MTV viewers.
Well I think when you have 10 girls (or boys) to choose from, don't you think that you can almost forget/eliminate three, four girls (boys) for you right away just by talking to them or them not having any similiar interests than you? I mean both season had girls / boys pairs that were/are so different in their views / lifestyle that you were / are sure not a match. Why not use them to search for those who are "perfect" matches.
I feel like if you approach this with this strategy, you have a far better chance to win tbh.

I personally think , this season cast is more drmatic and provide more storyline than season 1. Even though I pretty much dislike 90% of the cast lol he only likable person for me so far is Briana.
What makes me wonder though, we are they already casting for a new season if it's not a success? I feel like MTV is just liking the idea of playing with perfect matches that they think the concept of the show is great TV. Normally, it should be, but almost 91 % of this cast just isn't good TV or they edited it pretty weak. Ironic though that this season was better drama-wise, but the people are just bad.
Nevertheless, I believe that after the next one or two seasons, they will start using these casts to do a Challengeesque show where it's all about pure winning and not love. It's what producers love to do. They did it with I Love Money, The Challenge, Bad Girls Club All Stars Battle and now they will use "Are you the One? Money edition".
(Probably why they focus so much about winning those "get-away-date" "challenge". It started with Shanley, Ryan with last season and now Brandon.

If the cast is keeping track of all this and combining a chart like this along with all the truth booths and matchup results there are real wining possibilities.

Also Layton was out of line and looked silly especially as Anthony confronted him all calm and he completely goes crazy. It was so obvious Layton and Jess were angry due to jealousy.
Layton wasn't the only one who was shouting, Anthony was shouting too. If they got physical with each other (which would end up with Anthony getting his molly whooped), i feel like production would reprimand them for fighting, similar to the way they did to Cory and Brian on RW: Explosion.
