“The story follows Navy Seal Tyler Colt and his mission in the Iraqi desert to find a group of terrorists hiding out in a bunker. To him and his teams surprise the terrorists within the bunker turn out be nothing more then some grave robbers who have all magically died. Upon entering the bunker Tyler and his team also succumb to some mystical forces out of their control. They soon realize the bunker they have infiltrated is actually a centuries old tomb. Mayhem erupts as all the Navy seal members start turning on one another and are captivated by the forces within the tomb. Tyler is the only one to make it all the way deep within the tomb alive to find an Black Iron Sarcophagus. It’s marked with Egyptian symbols like the Ankh and Eye of Horus. Here Tyler is entranced by the forces to open up and release what is inside. But after placing his hand onto the sarcophagus he is immediately stabbed in the palm with a star shaped symbol. From then on his mind is cursed with visions of Ashurbanipal, King of Assyria…..The Mummy.”
For clarity reasons, Superhero Movie News notes that the character of Tyler Colt doesn’t become the mummy, but rather becomes a man on the run after his encounter in the tomb. Colt then later on becomes the only one capable of stopping the mummy once he’s resurrected, due to their previous connection.
This is believed to be the opening sequence of the film. Not what I was expecting... Ashurbanipal? Where the hell is Imhotep?! I was really excited for this reboot, and while I'm going to stay optimistic, my interest has slightly diminished (especially with the whole shared universe shtick). I get they're going for family friendly, swashbuckling fun, but the reboot was originally pitched as a true horror flick, I wish they could come up with a perfect medley of both. Maybe I just need to take a trip to O-town and ride Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios, hahaha!
The low budget frightener, loosely based on H.P. Lovecraft’s From Beyond, tracks a journalist investigating the disappearance of her old college friend and his ties to a secret experimental drug.

Pass. That is one movie that does not need to be remade but another installlment.
Well, there goes any chance of me watching this one! Sad too, alongside Ant-Man, this was one of the very few Marvel movies I was interested in. Whatever.

I didn't say that, so don't go jumping to conclusions! His voice work for Smaug in The Hobbit gives me chills, "I am king under the mountain." OMG, perfection. I guess I'm just bitter that Joaquin Phoenix bailed on the role even though he was the frontrunner and the real reason I was interested.
It's similar to how I refuse to watch Captain America because John Krasinski was dropped for Chris Evans.
Rob Zombie Crowdfunds, Takes To AFM For Next Fright Effort '31'...a new horror film that involves five carnival workers kidnapped the night before Halloween and challenged to survive a deadly game called 31. Carnival work doesn't sound like much fun in itself, but this game involves going against murderous maniacs in a kill or be killed death match. Adding insult to injury, the maniacs are dressed as clowns.
Yaaasssssss! I'm so glad they included Signs! That movie, especially that scene, mortified me. M. Night Shyamalan's best film. Ever.
Agree with all of them except Insidious and Paranormal Activity. I liked Paranormal Activity, but it wasn't scary at all and Insidious was just plain bad.
So what was wrong with Fury Nostalgic? Was it not accurate for a World War 2 movie or just a bad script? I can't imagine it being because of bad acting due to the overall talent that movie had in it.

Actually the script was find but I just found it, the film, to be hard to believe. In fact, when people complain about movies having a bad script I get a little madness tingle inside because they don't explain why however I do believe there's only bad actors not bad scripts but I digress.
Paul Walker was my absolute favorite actor ever. Not because he was great. Just because. I don't want them to make any more without him... *heartbroken*
Anyone write or are working on there own movie or tv script?
Scripts? No. Ideas? Definitely. I have a leather journal I keep story ideas in that I call 'The Vault'.
My friend (who's a criminal justice major) has convinced me that we should put our minds together and write an anthological series of novels focused on blurring the lines between True Crime-inspired stories and the Weird Menace subsidiary of the crime/horror genre.
Lurker that's a really cool idea & you should go for it see what you can come up with. I have tons of ideas for horror movies. Me & my brother mess around with ideas & working on horror scripts.

And lurker really needs to write scripts because the shit he comes up with is amaze balls!
Maybe ill show you some of my ideas sometime lol hopefully you won't scare to easy like when you watch American Horror story. I just need to quit being lazy after work & get back to writing more often.

Haha see now I was the opposite of you was such a scaredy cat when I was younger then the more horror movies I watched the less scared I became. I love horror movies just wish they were actually scary now days. You ever seen Sinister Jamie I recommend this for you.

Hahaha that's so funny!! I'm way too jumpy for no reason!!
And I just Googled it and the images scared the shit out of me so.....
Plus I can't watch any scary shit alone hahaha. That's impossible! I still haven't watched Ahs cuz I'm scared and I only feel comfortable watching it live with the people of vevmo! XD

I was writing a horror movie script a long time ago... got about 60 pages in and never finished... supposed to be a campy throwback to horror movies of the 80s with a few twists thrown in.... 3 friends (with some serious sexually charged emotions) decide to go camping over their reading week and run into a newylwed couple who are having a honeymoon nightmare. The 5 are stalked by an unknown killer as they try to make their way back to their cars (which is difficult seeing as its pitch black and someone ripped down the path markers)... heads roll (literally) and suprise twists come at every corner! I called it The Secluded... I wish I finished it.
Other unfinished scripts that I got a good chunk out of were:
The Good Years - A Coming of Age drama cenetered around 4 best friends in the 80s who make a trip around the world after their college graduation and learn a lot about life, love, and each other... the time line is also split between the events of the 80s and in present day, where they are now in their 40s, living completely new lives having lost touch with one another all those years later. It will show how their lives will eventually intersect in many profound and different ways... I actually really enjoyed writing this one! Hopefully I can finish it one day
The Monster - A horror movie inspired by true-events of The Monster of Florence... a notorious serial killer(s) that is believed to have never been caught (many suspects, many arrests, but never a confession). Back in the 70s and 80s, the monster stalked and killed loved ones who were either on vacation or just innocent locals... now 30 years later, an eerily similar attack has been committed, just as two girls arrive in Florence to meet up with a couple they used to know in high school. The four become entangled in the monster's slew of victims and must figure out a way to stop him.... whoever he is...
I've had a lot of ideas for stuff too... was writing a possible Jurassic Park sequel that I believe had an aweosme plot (it was supposed to be for IV before they released the plot, but it can still be used as a fifth or sixth installment... apparently Jurassic World is the beginning of a new trilogy).... but yeah it focused on Costa Rica being quarantined after the dinos had found their way to the mainland. A radicalist group called the Jurassic World Initiative, who's focus is to repopulate the world with dinos as a form of the next step in evolution, comes head-to-head with InGen, a company once headed by John Hammond - then turned evil - now turned good again, headed by Tim Murphy (John's grandson)... both groups are out to find the lost data that has the only answer to dinosaur replication, which could help speed the process of cloning or give the answer to reversing the evolution (depends on whos hands it gets in)... but yeah both groups end up being trapped in the jungles of the quarantined Costa Rica areas where they must fight off the dinos and each other. A New Dawn: Jurassic World
sorry for the rambling haha I get into my movie plots
Though... I am working on a new one called Beyond. Keeping those details very close to chest. Real emotional tear-jerker, yet still wholesome, sci-fi, family fun; Disney will eat this shit up. Think 'To Infinity and Beyond.'

Maya was definitely one of the best Power Rangers. Big tits and personality.
I think Jamie Chung's best movie was by far Sorority Row. I am OBSESSED with that movie

This was in development hell forever. Perhaps it should have stayed there? Maybe? I've never read the book so my opinion is a bit skewed.

Nightcrawler yes, but that Fury was downright nonsense. I'm sick of the Saving Private Ryan type shit they put out.
