So I was really young when I started watching this show. I'm about to be 21 in two weeks.. Born in 1993 The first seasons I watched fully... RW:London 1995 - Watched with my Older Sisters kept watching Real World religiously until RW:Philadelphia.. THEN STOP WATCHING.. THEN STARTED BACK UP FOR BROOKLYNN .. but now I don't watch ever anymore watched parts of RW:Portland it was okay.. Also I obviously watched every single episode of The Real World Vegas:1 Reunion.. Wanted it to be longer.. First Challenge I watched fully BATTLE OF THE SEXES:1. LOOOVVEED IT SUCH A GOOD SEASON AND GREAT CAST.. I went back and watched every season of the challenge the preceeded the Battle of the Sexes.. watch every season from then on til about Gauntlet 3.. Then stopped caring about the show no Trishelle no Coral no Mike.. Just sad.. Then watched The Ruins for VERONICA ONLY..then obviously came back fully for The Queen Trishelle return loved every minute of it.. First Season of Road Rules I watched fully was.. RR: Europe with my ultimate crush ANTONIE I love him soo much.. Watched every season til its end with RR:Viewers Revenge.. Even bought the real world movie specials and all that.. I use to love this show.. Before it became just bad models and frat gym heads just getting drunk and not really living and having real personal issues.. I'm sure the real Fans of this show knows that before when you did the Real World or Road Rules you really learned something and people loved you.. It wasn't bad to do this show you could be something after you could still make a name for yourself... The show really use to be so good taught me so much about myself and others.. I owe these shows a lot.. It sucks to see what they are like now.. Makes me cry..
I use to love this show.. A good chunk of the cast members nowadays look like a bunch of Survivor recruits hand selected from the first few listings on modelmayhem.com. We get an occasional gem who is authentic and a nod to older seasons, but the fake drama and airtime hogging has completely degraded the show from what it once was.
I really want to see a ruins 2 tbh, I love the idea of bank account stealing
me too. but more even teams
I really want to see a ruins 2 tbh, I love the idea of bank account stealing
The Ruins format was awesome. I think they should bring it back with a different theme. Champions vs challengers is good, but it can be too lopsided if the cast is wrong. Maybe Vets vs Rookies, Old vs New, Brawn vs Brains, or Heroes vs Villains.

First RW season: Cancun First RR season: South Pacific First Challenge: Rivals
Fun fact: while I've been watching the RW/RR/Challenges for about 15 years, I actually never really watched religiously when I was younger. Even my favorite seasons back then (Chicago, New Orleans, San Diego) I eventually got bored with. I ended up seeing every episode but I was probably more concerned with hanging out with friends and stuff. But mostly it was because the seasons were so long that I think I always just ended up getting bored with it or something. Like I said, I still watched every episode of every season but I wasn't like making sure I was home each week. Now the challenges? I HAD to watch each week. The wait between the two episodes with the Leah/Kendal Inferno cliffhanger was so ******* rude, MTV.
I really want to see a ruins 2 tbh, I love the idea of bank account stealing
Stealing bank accounts was the best part. It encouraged people to want to go into eliminations. Heck it got Darrel, someone who avoids eliminations at all cost, to twice voluntarily go in to get more money.

He volunteered twice because the numbers weren't in his favors and he wanted to take out two weaker players rather than to have to face Brad or Dunbar at the end
First Challenge season I watched on TV was The Duel (randomly found it while I was channel surfing). I remember it was around the time that Derrick was sent home. Then I went back and watched Fresh Meat and Inferno 2. First Real World I watched was Denver (parts of it), but then I didn't really follow up. I watched bits and pieces of Sydney and DC, and then started fully watching again when St. Thomas came up. The only RR I watched (sadly) was Viewers' Revenge when it was on TV. I remember I was so confused because I didn't know about RR before and I was like *** is this challenge it's so different from I3 and G3.
The first Challenge season I ever fully watched was The Ruins; I was channel surfing and I just happened to stumble upon a marathon of that season. I remember rooting for Wes and being very disappointed when he got sent home, and I always got Brad, Danny, and Dunbar mixed up because it was kind of difficult to tell them apart at first. I didn't understand a lot of the history between castmembers at the time so I went back and watched all the way through Battle of the Sexes 1 to Duel 2. That's what I really love about this show: the rich history between all of the castmembers, and being able to watch them all grow and change over time.
I went back as well, rivals did not satisify my need to know why Wes and Kenny could not work together. It has been really enjoyable to see people change over the challenges. Finding out Miz used to be on the show really surprised me.
Since were also doing first Seasons of Real World/Road Rules watched. My first Real World season I watched from beginning to end was Back to New York and My First Road Rules season was the Quest. I still remember the casting special they had for those two seasons. Theo and Melissa(New Orleans 1) were hosting. ANd I remember that Ellen and Coral got went at it. Ellen Telling Coral to kiss her baby *** was gold. They both ended up on Different shows but I always though that what if they put Ellen on The Real World with Coral..That would've been one for the ages. I'm still glad they Put Ellen on Road Rules though she shined there better IMO. I still think to this day The Quest had one of the Best casts in Road Rules History.
I still think to this day The Quest had one of the Best casts in Road Rules History.
Campus Crawl was my favorite RR cast, it really felt like everyone on that season had something to offer.
Campus Crawl was my favorite RR cast, it really felt like everyone on that season had something to offer.
You Know Campus Crawl's cast always felt like a Real World cast to me for some reason. Almost like they were on the Wrong show. But I did like the theme of that season. Them going to different Colleges to do missions instead of some big place in some far away land was really cool and creative IMO.

First challenge I watched was the Ruins, but it wasn't religiously. I remember seeing Wes on the first episode say "1 on 1 all these guys are afraid of me." and then he became my favorite player. Then a couple years later I saw Rivals 1, and then I started religiously watching the Challenge and catching up on everything.
First Challenge: The Inferno 2 First Real World: Real World Austin First Road Rules: Unfortunately Viewers Revenge..... :(
What was your first challenge?
The Extreme Challenge.
So I wartched finally Rivals 2 reunion. What a mess! Weird how Cara Maria was so hated by cast there and so loved at Free Agents.

I loved the first episode of B2NY when they were all finding out who actually made it with them. Coral was just waiting for Ellen to show up haha and then it ended up being Rachel (at least I think she was last to show? I forget.)
First Real World I remember was Chicago. I watched bits of earlier ones, I think the oldest was Hawaii. First challenge was Battle of the Sexes 1. At the time colon had his own website and would share some behind the scenes commentary after each episode aired.
First Challenge was Battle of the Sexes 2, and first RW was Philadelphia...at an age where MTV was not appropriate for me! Sadly, my first RR was Viewer's Revenge...yeah...
1st Real World- Chicago 1st Road Rules- Campus Crawl 1st Challenge- Challenge 2000 when i was younger I didn't understand the whole concept with the show and thought all 3 shows were separate! It took me til Battle of the Seasons and Battle of the Sexes to figure out the whole concept lol
