Did women not win more than men in male v. female eliminations when they used to do it?
And I can think of a few reasons why...
- If you were against say two agile contestants in Knots So Fast you might want to put in two physical strong men in the hopes that if you can't out pace them you can at least maneuver the rope around easier than them etc...
I just think it would be a fun twist on the format
But you're ignoring the fact that its idiotic to send both guys into a elimination at all.....
But you're ignoring the fact that its idiotic to send both guys into a elimination at all.....
Not really. You could do it and force the other team into sending in their two guys to try and compensate (a power move).
And with the rule that teams of two have the power to decide who goes into elimination they might not have a choice.
But just because you don't see it doesn't mean it wouldn't happen. I could just as easily say it's idiotic to send a guy and a girl in. It's like when Team Cancun went into elimination against San Diego. They knew that CJ was the only one who stood a chance against Frank or Zach so it was sacrifice Derek and keep CJ in the game or try and have a fighting chance. There's two ways to think about it.

If there are teams of two then no doubt they would be a team of two guys..... because who in there right mind would send in both guys and keep both girls?
The less girls at the end is better just look at the ruins and the trim the fat for the gauntlet 3

Maybe they'd send in both guys to try and win the elimination round and take out competitors on the other person's team... It's really not that unrealistic. I wouldn't think it would be the prevailing strategy, but I could easily see it happening a couple times.

True, I just dislike gender neutral eliminations because I love physical eliminations/ missions

If it's the same eliminations: Zach, Darrell, and CT. Emily, Rachel, and Laurel. I also think Cooke could make it but her and Laurel seem to have a similar political game (which is none at all). But since it's her 2nd one, I can't put her in over Laurel. And with strategist like Susie, Bananas, and Mark... they could make it to the end as well. I wouldn't overlook Arielle(politically), Ashlee(physically), and Brian(physically). They could make some waves as first time rooks. And of course the smaller beasts Derrick, Camila, and Abram could squeak in there but a couple of the big guys would have to take one another out for those guys to have a shot.
Again, this is just if it's the same eliminations as the first one. If they added puzzles, strategy, and endurance elimination games, then things could definitely change.

I think they should ditch Wrecking Wall and Looper, because it favors the bigger guy. The eliminations should be Balls In, Knot So Fast, something like Name that Coconut and Handcuffs.
I think Arielle could do great. She seemed like she got along great with everyone on Ex-Plosion and she used to run track, plus she threw Cory to the floor easily, so she is definitely strong. She is definitely a threat and I would love to see her compete, but I doubt we will.
Why, Cooke & CJ would just dominate the whole time
I don't think so. they're strong, But I don't think they are strong enough to dominate.
And even if they did. It'd be better than watching Backpack walk to the end unscathed for the umpteenth time or some Non-castmember controlling everything.

No, he's right...it would be the Cooke/CJ show
Why, Cooke & CJ would just dominate the whole time
We only saw CJ do good in 1 challenge. I don't think that's enough to claim he'll dominate anything. He's not a good strategist or politician and can easily be eliminated in a puzzle or strategy elimination. Same for Cooke.

I don't think there's even intelligent people in the rest of those casts
CJ & Cooke might even win a puzzle if there was a puzzle...and, yes, I remember FM2 but CJ threw that
Ashlee could be a huge threat to Cooke but the guys side is actually worse than the female side this season

I disagree.
First, thoughts on the cast. I love rookies and I would like to see, in fact, a LOT of those people back on a Challenge... but not all together. It's just not a captivating enough group for me. That said, it is your fantasy cast so I respect your decision.
I think that the competition would not be as clear-cut as previous posters make it seem to be. Threats for CJ could include Scott, Cory, Marlon, Brian, Cohutta, and Trey. Second tier threats could be Eric, Dan, perhaps Ace, even Davis or Will.
Threats to Cooke could include Beth, Ruthie, KellyAnne, Arielle, and Ashlee. I could see second tier threats being Ashley Lindley, Averey, and Janelle.

Cohutta isn't a threat--I know many love him but he's not beating anyone legit. People make way too big of a deal about him beating Wes in The Ruins--as Veronica clearly explained--Wes didn't have the help he needed. Marlon was far from impressive in his first challenge. Trey hasn't even been decent so far. Scott, Cory & Brian can't be judged yet. Ace sucks. He got a free pass once but other than that he was horrible.
Beth & Ruthie are well passed their prime. KellyAnne would get crushed in anything physical and she's dumb as a rock. Very athletic but not truly a threat to Cooke. I'm still not sure how you're coming to these conclusions that newbies would be legit threats but given Ashlee's background there's some logic in this
Basically, the attempt here was to put a bunch of mediocre to poor competitors together only 1 in each group is a clear cut favorite. Doesn't mean they'll win but there's a clear favorite.
