So trying to trim the fat makes a team undeserving of victory? So the Road Rules team on The Inferno did not deserve to win in your opinion?
I was bummed a few of the Vets lost but I think they deserved it too I suppose. Not for trimming the fat. Most of the people they cut didn't belong there (though I'd take Coral over Robin). It's that they played a scared game with Eric and didn't just sack up and take a stab at him. It wasn't like past shows where you made money along the way and got a cut of what you banked regardless of whether or not you won the final. They were going to lose with Eric, so they should've just gone at him...you either lose the elimination or the final...$0 either way.
However I do think it's bull**** that on all other finals teams have been allowed to win if a teammate went down for medical reasons. I'd prefer a team to be DQed if they lose a member, but if you've done it that way before that final AND after that final at least keep it consistent. They definitely knew Eric wouldn't be able to hack it.
One thing to keep in mind about G3 is they stressed teamwork the entire time. By they, I mean TJ and the writing staff when putting together his briefings.

That entire challenge was one giant Army Strong marketing ad. Those incessant "Army Strong moments" should have clued anyone in. It doesn't surprise me they manipulated the outcome to favor their army slogan/campaign.
It wasn't about trimming the fat. It was that they targeted the wrong girls and didn't target the biggest piece of "fat" which was Eric. I thought it was smart to throw missions but grow a pair and take out Eric & don't target Coral when you have Casey & Robin just because Evelyn was mad that Coral corrected her when she was wrong.
The Road Rules team just looked stupid because Katie still made the final and they threw away money for no reason.
Good point, I did find that funny especially when they sent in Johnny instead
But this isn't about Theresa, I dislike Theresa and I want to see Laurel get her revenge

What's also funny is Rachel was in the army and she won so there was that too.
But this isn't about Theresa, I dislike Theresa and I want to see Laurel get her revenge
Laurel's the only person there IMO that can beat Theresa so hopefully they both make the final because I'd love to see it play out.

Cara is pretty muscular I think she could take her in balls in or looper but Theresa's very long arms work to her advantage there
Cara is pretty muscular I think she could take her in balls in or looper but Theresa's very long arms work to her advantage there
Maybe in Looper but Theresa's basketball skills should give her a huge advantage in Balls In
Ideally Theresa, Laurel & Cara run the final because it should be the best of the best. Nany & Jonna would also be fine because they may do well. Hopefully Jessica & Devyn go home before the final--doesn't matter when. Not sure what group to put Aneesa in--she seems to be in better shape so I'll put her with Nany & Jonna
I've seen some comments in some other places, and I don't understand how some people think that Laurel made a punk move in the last episode. Like yeah, she doesn't run the game, and she was talking like she does, but if other people are intimidated by her why shouldn't she play that to her advantage?
I'm well aware that it was Evelyn's vendetta and nothing more but that doesn't alter that it was stupid. Honestly, no team ever deserved to lose a final more than that Vets team
Which makes Gauntlet 3 such a delicious challenge for me to enjoy :)
I hate this mentality. I really do.
In the real world, newbies/rookies in many situations (work, sports, etc.) generally have to pay their dues, so I've never considered this mentality on The Challenge any different. I love when rookies go in and shock everybody.
Having said that, I don't think that veterans should get a free ride. I love when people make big moves and throw the veterans in, as they've done with Johnny and Laurel. They've both already earned their stripes, so to speak, but that doesn't mean they deserve a free pass to the finals.
I can't stand entitled veterans who believe they deserve a free ride. I think of Jenn and Paula, in particular. Could you imagine if Paula was sent in as early in the season as Laurel was? She would have freaked out and cried the entire time.
Veteran or rookie, if you want to avoid eliminations, win the mission. If not, and your name is called, go in and show them how it's done.

I like seeing new faces on the challenges. I like seeing how people who are fresh off their RW season interact with past castmembers. All the Friendships hookups, rivalries etc. So it always bothered me that the rookies were always targeted first and go home. because we don't get to see what they can do.
Besides. I feel like this is a game show and as a game show it has nothing to do with real life. And the producers can cut them at any time so these vets really have no business acting like they're the only ones that deserve the money and that they can just walk to the end..**** that. This is a game show. Nobody is getting a free pass at anything and the rookies have just as much right to be there as you.
People really need to explain their definition of float on by. On Fresh Meat Laurel won 5/9 challenges (and intentionally lost one) and won an Exile. On Cutthroat her team won 5/9 challenges and she won an elimination (and she shouldn't have even been thrown in since Shauvon, Ayiiia, Cara, and Sarah were weaker), and on Rivals I she went into half of the female exiles (by virtue of coming in last, but she still went in). Where did she float?
That's very true. I guess I just mean that most people put up literally no political fight in fear of putting a target on their backs. Guess what? If you leave Bananas and Laurel and CT and other strong competitors that are assumed to be in the final, then they are going to beat you sooner or later. I'd rather someone have the balls to put good competitors than waste your vote on Jasmine, Swift, Preston, etc.
Free agents is the perfect set up to get rid of strong competitors.
Ex. Why didn't Zach put in Bananas instead of Swift with Jordan, CT, Johnny, and Leroy in the draw? Putting Swift in did nothing to improve his chances in the final. Putting Bananas in twice in a row would've shaken him up at the very least. Same concept with Theresa, I applaud her, despite the shadiness.
Lol are you guys serious? Bananas, CT, Laurel, etc... are called veterans for a reason: they paid their dues. They've shown what they got but we haven't really seen enough of these rookies so it just makes sense to put them in. Everybody goes through this process, stop crying about it. People like Zach, Leroy and Devyn know who the big dogs are that's why they don't mess with them and that's smart. Going at it individually (Brandon, Latoya) or straight up letting the big dogs know you want them gone (Jordan, Theresa) is basically a death sentence in this game.
I dont think Jordan is worthy of dethroning the king, hopefully next challenge Cory or Brian will prove worthy of dethroning King Bananas.

What big dogs would Leroy go at though? He's friends with them all, and I think that actually helps him stay out of eliminations. He doesn't put them in, and they return they favor.

Thats the point that I was trying to make. Guys like Leroy and Zach cater up to the veterans thus "giving them a free ride" because that keeps them safe. It shouldn't be nucleur-science to understand why people flock to the vets and help them out. It's a safe game to play. So the people that are complaining about the vets getting a "free ride" should blame it on the other players, not the veterans. It's not Bananas's fault that it's so easy to play these people like puppets.

That makes no sense, the rookies need to show us what they can by winning eliminations maybe if they could win then they wouldn't be out first

I think the reason that Zach didn't swipe at Johnny was the voting breakdown. Last episode, he had the votes to do it, this time he did not. Devyn is not going to vote for Johnny unless she has to...they're actually pretty good friends even prior to this challenge (I believe she put up a picture of the two of them and said he was her big brother and he was at her casting call and may have had a hand in her getting on the show). So he compromised and voted Swift, who he doesn't like. I would guess if it were only up to Zach to vote he would've gone for Johnny.

Theresa used to play basketball so I think she'll have the advantage. I know is not the same, but it can help.

He wasn't at her casting call...The whole back story about Bananas and Devyn was that Bananas went to Devyn College where they met and he was the reason she applied for the Real World after meeting him in FSU. She explain it on a podcast and IG picture:

Well either way. It makes for a Boring and predicable show and it really highlights the reason why they need to stop recycling castmembers IMO.
To be fair, when guys play girls in basketball, they don't really try all that hard and CT didn't really look like he was playing defense on her all that seriously...just kind of running around flailing his arms. And he still won.
LOL what does that have to do with Theresa's obvious ability to play basketball? Nobody actually thought CT was going all out to beat her.
Theresa & Leroy cleared the air and are on good terms
Theresa changed her vote because Johnny Bananas started yelling at her at the deliberation. Bananas found out he was on the chopping block and because Theresa is his friend she felt compelled not to vote for him. And she assumed Johnny & laurel also conversed before the vote so she changed it all.
CT is really good at basketball and they played shooting games together
She said she doesn't get along with 90 percent of the girls there.
Laurel and her have never really got along
Camila hates along with Devyn
Zach and her talked before the challenge about having each others back but he was forced to vote for her because TJ said him and Devyn had to agree
She said at this point in the game she only 100 percent trusts Aneesa and Bananas
She changed her voted because Bananas got mad at her and she said she wasn't scared to vote for Laurel, it was Bananas who scared her so she just decided to change all of her votes but she regrets it.
She started crying over Camilla saying she gave her the win. I love Camilla, but that was lame. Theresa obviously had the upper hand, and it's okay to admit that.

I like camila too, but yeah its lame that camila is using a "she didnt beat me", when she did.
