There are a ton of better hosts than Mosely...**** the three "experts" they've had would be better. So would Coral, Kenny, Evan, or Paula. (I know there are varying likelihoods for each of these people, no need to tell me that it won't happen, thanks).
Oh lord, here we go again. But seriously, why do people keep mentioning Coral? I remember the time she hosted something for MTV and she was terrible. In fact, it was so unprofessional and awkward that I couldn't believe that they aired it. Coral was flubbing lines and obviously reading from some kind of cue card or screen. She was nervous and stiff, and while I'm willing to be more forgiving to noobs, she was obviously not comfortable as a host. I've even seen Chet host some things on occasion and he seemed a hundred times more at ease than Coral. I haven't seen Kenny, Evan, or Paula host anything, but I don't see how they could do the job any better. Being charismatic doesn't necessarily translate to being a good host. Heck, Mark Long has had his share of awkward moments of hosting too.
Johnny was analyst during the Winter Olympics this year, and I was seriously waiting for him to flub his lines because I've seen his share of bad hosting too. I think my jaw dropped at the eloquence and ease at which he was able to articulate himself. I couldn't even believe it was him to be honest. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that he was more than familiar with the subject at hand, but I think he's improved leaps and bounds over his early days. I'd even go as far as to say I'd prefer him as a host to TJ. Good God, you would think after all these years of hosting the show TJ would get better, but he's still as bad as he was the first time around.
As for the episode, I think my head nearly exploded at Johnny's hypocrisy. Did he seriously say that he would never yell or treat a woman like that? Does he even recall how he treated Evelyn on The Island? I was pretty ambivalent about Johnny up until then, but his increasing misogynistic attitude towards women on these shows has been my reason for hating the guy. He's more mellow now, but he has no room to talk.
I thought Latoya was being irrational towards Jordan. She was mad about being voted in much the same way she was last time. She was just looking for someone to vent her anger at. I thought it was funny Jordan voted Latoya and not Aneesa like Laurel wanted.
Zach does come off as a huge baby on these challenges. I didn't watch his RW, but his behavior often seems childish or immature now that Aneesa mentions it. I wonder if he's an only child, he seems to act that way.
Preston, I like him, but no matter how well he continues to perform, I would still pick him last on my team. Same with Jonna, Jasmine, and maybe Nany and Aneesa. I'm sure there's a couple more but those are ones that most stand out in my mind. I do like them, but as athletes that consistently perform well on these challenges, they just don't really cut it.
A completely classless comment to make. Someone takes this show a bit too seriously.
Jesus H, is this the crowd that invades vevmo now? Who the **** makes fun of a birth defect? That's like making fun of handicap people.
I think the fact Zach/Frank got a win their first try made both their egos insanely big and they never really knew how to really deal with people in the house because they thought they could just boss the house every challenge and win easily. Hence why they have had so many arguments and emotional breakdowns since that first win. It would have humbled him if lets say rivals 2 was his first challenge instead of the gift that was seasons 2. Zach does seem like kind of a baby too, and he has a huge ego. Seems like you could break him down emotionally if you really tried or let him flip out and screw himself

I think Zach has a good reason to be cocky. I mean come on, Brandon going up against Zach in a hall brawl like elimination. I'm a fan of Brandon too. I think he's rightfully egotistical.

I don't mean that elimination i mean about everything. Zach is like the spoiled kid who gets his way than when things get tough he spazzes out...it would probably have helped him if he lost a few challenges before his first win was my point to humble him
I missed the episode tonight.
Can anyone tell me how long it usually is the for the newest episode pops up on MTV.com? Never watched it there before.
Around 8:30 am EST tommorow.
So at this point:
Aneesa, Jonna, and Jessica all seem like they'd vote in Laurel in a heart beat. Maybe winning a lot isn't going to do her good when it comes to the voting process!
I'm just so fascinated with the relationships this season and seeing who chooses to side with who, who fights with who, ect. The Portland cast is going all in this season.
I'm gonna miss the Toya and Jess duo together :(.
Jordan was always an annoying clown along with his side of the Portland house (Johnny, Averey & sometimes Anastasia) so that's nothing new.
Latoya, Aneesa & Jessica were the episode. The rookies (except Johnny) are really renewing this show for me. If all of Nia/Latoya/Devyn/Issac/Swift/Jessica/Emileeeee show up on the next one I might just watch.
It's a shame how they do Brandon. Swift was wack tho for "going with the team", when the teams only last for a day or two.
This episode also showed me that, other than her tirade against Paula, why I could never get behind Laurel on these challenges.
Gotta add sexy Jonna in just because lol. I've always liked her but I'm lovin how she is really playing her own game.

I don't know why people sleep on Portland. Ratings be ******, that cast has been very active on the two that they've been eligible for. Hopefully Joi is introduced to see what she can do.
This season is also great for the rookies. A lot of these rookies are showing out and going out with a bang! They have legit storylines and effect the game dramatically. This seaosn and format is great!
I find Jordan to be the most delusional person to grace The Challenge in a long, long time. He is so undeservedly cocky and arrogant, and during his argument with Jess, I don't know where he got off telling her she's done nothing on the challenge so far and that she's been carried.
In the first challenge, he didn't play his part within the team he was on and make it across the log like he was supposed to. He was carried. The third challenge, by dumb luck of how teams were picked, he happened to get picked on the team that ended up not even having to go, but he popped his big mouth off anyway so and made them go, and he failed miserably. Then tonight, he was the only person out of the four guys that was "the ball" that had to have a teammate stay behind and help him shed defenders to score. His dig at Johnny Bananas for being a "*****" for not being able to get past 5 girls was especially funny because he himself couldn't even get past two girls and one of the smaller guys on the show.
Also, after tonight's challenge, I would 100% put my money on Zach to beat CT in anything head-to-head that's physical. First, I didn't realize just HOW MUCH bigger he is than CT physically until tonight when the two of them were standing next to each other as the teams were about to be picked. Then in the actual challenge itself, he was rushing CT back on his heels the entire first heat and then shedded him out of the way and trucked him to the ground like a small child in the heat where he ended up scoring the lone goal for the Yellow Team.

I didn't realize how big Zach was until this episode either... but don't forget Zach lost to CJ in Hall Brawl in BOTS and I don't see CJ beating CT in anything physical. So i'd still put my money on CT.
People would always say how CT was 6'3, 250 & how he was much bigger than everybody who's ever been on the show & then it came out that he is 6'1, 215-220 at the most lol still bigger than the majority of dudes who still come on the shows tho.

I've seen cast members who fight with the portland cast on twitter bring up ratings all the time. I really feel like it's a pointless argument. The show has been on for 29 seasons, the ratings will never be as great as they were in the beginning, and there are a million shows like The Real World now so people aren't as interested to watch anymore. The trailer turned many people off (I was thrilled by it) so many people refused to watch from the beginning. You can't blame the cast if people refuse to watch from the start.. it's not like they started off with great ratings and then flopped towards the end. The Portland cast have proven to be great characters not only on their season but The Challenge!

Out of all the things he could've complained about Jessica, he sure did pick the dumbest topics. Like the fact that she looks like Selena Gomez whose mouth is physically stuck in an open position. That would have been a more substantial topic of discussion. I just think Jordan truly has a grudge with Johnny because neither can stand the other being in the spotlight for too long. It's grating to watch for me. I'm actually more shocked Jordan isn't sharing a bed with Johnny, given his attraction to his female "counterpart", Laurel.

Trying to do too much. Between him & Jasmine they really want to be known as "so-and-so from The Challenge" when "epic fail & embarrassment" has been more appropriate so far.
I notice Jordan picks his battles though, he seems much more comfortable talking **** to girls & dudes like Marlon & Johnny. Certain others on the show & not on this one are less tolerable of all that yapping.
Preseason I said I wanted to see Laurel vs Cara Maria. Scratch that that are a lot more female elimination rounds i'd prefer to see.
Cara Maria vs Aneesa - For the title of Elimination Queen
Laurel vs Aneesa
Laurel vs Camilla again
Jonna vs Jasmine in something physical just cause...
And at this point any combination for the guys is great because they're all solid besides a couple who are just decent.
Thoughts on the episode:
The music playing for Preston and Zach's picture *****.
I loved all the voting drama. Latoya takes everything too personal, I am so happy she left. She literally got mad at every single person who said her name... like cmon
Jess seems to be obsessed with Bananas lol is it just me or she like follows him around hahah.
Jordan is so cocky and annoying this season and I can't wait till Bananas shuts him the **** up.
The eliminations kind of sucked tonight.
Overall I don't like Jess or Jordan they both can leave :)
Jordan has always been cocky. They pointed that out multiple times on his season. He does however make great eyecandy. Which is the only reason i like him being on this season.
Dang. Decent ep. Couple notes as usu.
-Fun mission to watch. Too bad it wasn't more even and the yellow team didn't come up with a very good strat. Yellow was like we'll have 3 people defend the goal and let the ball and whoever do whatever they want. They let the red ball get to the goal. Hindsight says picking Isaac for the ball didn't work out so well. Should have picked a quicker dude in Leroy or Brandon.
-Camilla's impression of Zach was so good.
-Going to update my list of most consistent players so far. This includes people who have not been thrown in the elimination round or gone to the draw (besides the first mission).
Bananas, Preston
Jessica, Laurel, Nany
-Not sure what Jessica's trying to accomplish by running around to everyone in the house explaining what is being said. I mean, I don't really know "how the game is played", but that just seems like a really dumb idea in general. Especially when an old timer like Aneesa def. isn't going to have your back.
-Jordan really is shown to be an *** in this ep and in future eps. I really think it was ****** of him to flip all of the cards as seen in that teaser and I hope it's as ****** as it showed, but him yelling at everyone isn't making him very likeable. Not really on Jessica's side either.
-It really seems like this ep showed where people's alliances are when the line is drawn in the sand. I really want to look back at who voted for who and try make sense of it. Seems like the vet crew of CT/Bananas/Aneesa are obviously in cahoots, but I wanna see whos with what. Looked like Brandon and Swift and others were trying to create a underdog revolution which I am for. Didn't pan out though. There might be intertwining interests too though. Bananas and CT work together, but CT is real close with Cara, who is best friends with Laurel who is hooking up with Jordan. Hope there is going to be a conflict of interest when the numbers are dwindling and things get tight.
-Swift falling off his chair was really ******* funny.
-Cool elimination too bad it was pretty suspenseful like the mission. Cara seems very solid this year. As Latoya said in the aftershow, Latoya probably should have tried to be physical instead of turning it into a race. I like Cara and want to give her her props, however I still think she has more to prove to be considered a "top female competitor" or close to it. It seems like she was a liability too often on Cutthroat/Rivals/Exes/RivalsII. We'll see. Too bad for Brandon. I really enjoy watching the dude, but I knew it was done when he was actually getting screen time lol. He really had no shot, it's not like he could pull a CJ/Wes and try to aim lower or jump over. Zach would have got to that bell no matter what. Hopefully Brandon will have his day.
-Latoya was hot in the aftershow. Her attitude is pretty hot lol.

He's not, his sister had a baby which caused his meltdown on rivals 2
I liked the mission expect for Preston's ego swelled up.
Also they should of had Cohutta as the ball because even tho he's smaller he's faster and more agile then Issac. I'd say Leroy but they'd have nobody to protect the goal
Zach didn't lose to CJ.
Yeah CT steamrolled him. Although CJ did get by him one time when he went low and clipped Zach's legs. Brandon clearly didn't watch that season since I believe that would have been the best strategy in last night's elimination round

I don't think Brandon would have won either way but going low and taking out his legs would have been his best bet. I think he loses either way just because Zach is probably a little faster than Brandon.
