The Challenge: Free Agents - CT Tamburello
After ten seasons, Challenge legend CT finally notched a win, taking first place on Rivals II. One of the most respected and feared players in the game, CT is equal parts athlete and politician. While the Free Agents twist sends many of his fellow veterans scrambling, CT is already a step ahead. He cautions, "Sooner or later your number's going to get called. I've always been a free agent and now everybody's gonna have to play my game." Can CT make it two wins in a row? Or will he relinquish his Challenge crown?
I don't think he should've returned..Mainly because I feel like he has nothing left to prove. He's a good competitor, is very entertaining, and has won a challenge. He could bow out gracefully..But I guess he still wants to do them so here he is. CT is one of the best competitors and one of the most entertaining too and now with a win under his belt. I think it's safe to say that he's the ultimate package of castmember.
I heard CT was offered a good amount of money to come back for the 25th season, not sure if that is true or not. He had initially said he didn't want to do another challenge.
I believe CT gets paid the highest out of everyone here. If we keep getting weaklings like Preston or Chet on this show, then I have no problem seeing CT back again and again. Being in your early 30's is not old IMO.

CT always delivers the entertainment. My all time favorite cast member for 10 years. Always glad to see him back.

He could have left on top after 10 yrs of drama and getting screwed over and losing his cool. But the show obviously wants him bad since they upped his pay to convince him to be on. I don't think he will use the rivals 1 and 2 strategy though of flirting his way to the top. But i assume he will be in a few arguments, he can't help himself haha..Plus anyone notice he also wears some crazy thing on the challenges, last yr was bucket hat and scarf, this year the beard haha. He just doesn't care it's great.
Hahaha, he even started like a trend on twitter, bc I saw that people start to take photos with a bucket hat every wednesday and send it to him.
It was pretty funny not going to lie. I laughed about it. I like how he just doesn't care and does him. I mean honestly how many girls on the show complain about their edit and all this crap and this guy wears ridiculous stuff and starts fights and doesn't even care. He lets teh show make him how they want, i respect that actually and he has a huge fan base so it works for him. The back and forth twitter wars about nonsense between castmmebers never seems to make anyone more popular i have noticed.
I am over CT. I was happy with his win last season, but I kinda wanted him to move on. I just hope one of the young bucks like Dustin or Jordan takes him out & brings his ego down a bit.

CT is still a better athlete than most of these young bucks.

His gauntlet 3 look with his bushy hair and pony tail when done. Cutthroat was more of a clean cut. Rivals 2 is more of a more modern look. And now he's trying to rock a Ricki Hall beard with an SS haircut lol. Damn, I just realized how long this dude has been on my tv. Been watching him compete ever since I was in middle school lol.
I also remember CT wearing that straw hat sombrero looking thing all season on The Gauntlet III lmao.
CT certainly does like to change things up, keeps things interesting that's for sure, never boring! Still getting used to bearded CT though, lol!
I like CT and I understand he's a fan favorite. But I beg that the editors don't give him all the screen time like he got in Rivals II. I just found that annoying.. there's a reason why fans are so attached to players like him and the ratings drop when people like him are casted. I blame it all on the editors and producers.

But I agree with you, CT and Bananas are about to retire (at least CT), so they need to start giving more screen time to the new kids since they are the future of the challenges.
Dustin couldn't beat CT in anything......
Maybe bed *******...
i think ct will be very mellow this season, he has his personal life together at home for once, and won a challenge, so i doubt he will be that exciting this season
i think ct will be very mellow this season, he has his personal life together at home for once, and won a challenge, so i doubt he will be that exciting this season
Even CT being very mellow makes him more exciting than the whole male cast.
Even CT being very mellow makes him more exciting than the whole male cast.
Yup. CT was more mellow on the first Rivals but he was still more entertaining than the majority of the males from that season. And just like with Rivals, I'm sure there's going to be guys (specifically Frank) trying to instigate fights with CT to get him kicked off for punching people.
Honestly, this is what ****** me off from production: if ratings is something they want to achieve then why don't they put more effort into finding people with unique personalities who are also athletic like CT to cast? RW Explosion has a good male cast imo and I have to give these Portland kids another chance this season, but what the hell happened in the past 5 years or so excluding Las Vegas 2 and Frank? How hard is it to find some valuable people? Why do they cast people like Nate or Robb or Ty on the challenge if they want ratings? And in terms of this season, why Brandon, Preston, and Chet? The only reason Zach is somewhat entertaining to watch is because he's massive and a beast at these challenges even though his personality somewhat sucks and the same goes for Leroy. Production needs to dig deeper to find entertaining people like Bananas, CT and Frank. And as much as I despise Frank, I enjoy seeing him on the challenge because he's unpredictable and there's always that "I have to tune in just for the chance of him getting knocked out" feeling that many of us get so it's like a must to keep watching. But since his image is basically ****ed in the real world because of the show it looks like he's retiring because he can't handle it all the negativety. I have high hopes for Cory and Thomas. Until then it looks like CT and Bananas will carry the male cast in terms of entertainment value with a little help from Jordan and Isaac.

He shouldn't even be considered. Isn't Cory really short?
I agree, it kills me that they cast people like Preston three times in a row. He shouldn't even be considered. Isn't Cory really short?
Cory is 5 10
Cory is 5 10
Oh, don't know why I thought that. I saw a picture of Jenny and Brian standing next to Mark Long and they were both like a foot shorter than him and for some reason I thought that Cory was the same height as Brian. Sorry off-topic.
How tall is Brian?
How tall is Brian?
Same height as Cory in their cast picture of them together they look the same height

As for Nate, we only saw him for one episode and he was hilarious. I think he deserves another shot. Zach and Leroy are fan favorites, Leroy's funny and Zach is really good looking. You may not like them but they will be needed in this new generation. And why do you have high hopes for Thomas?? He's a total bore. Now Brian, Jay, and Cory could bring something to the challenge.

What has Jay even contributed to this season of the Real World at all, besides his desperate attempts to "get numbers"? Anyway, I hope that CT retires, or at least takes a break, after this one. I think the producers are definitely depending on him too much for ratings. They shouldn't cast CT and Johnny back to back to back. I think they should've alternated between them, to keep them fresh and keep people watching, because I feel like they are the main draws for a lot of viewers.

Neither of them bring much to RW but Jay would fit more with the challenge crew imo. I agree with what you say about CT and Johnny, But I think if they don't cast 1, then they shouldn't cast the other because it'll be an easy win/trip to the finals, unless they add in more oldies like Mark, Wes, Abe, etc..
