The Challenge: Favorite/Fantasy Casts

They all would have easily made the finals.[/QUOTE] There are a lot of "what could have been" scenarios from BOTS that still haunt me today. This is one of them, but there others higher on my list. DC and Road Rules are the biggest ones for me. Those 2 teams would have been huge threats to the rest of the house. Just imagine what BOTS would have been like if DC and Road Rules were there instead of Austin and Fresh Meat/Spring Break, as well as the Vegas team only consisting of the 2011 cast. It's actually quite heartbreaking when you think about it.

I'm the complete opposite about the Vegas cast. I loved seeing Alton and Trishelle's interactions with the new generation. In fact, I would've even preferred to have both Vegas teams, with Frank, Arissa, Leroy, and Cooke added to the cast.

Plus purple doesn't have any clear anchor like Katie or Devyn.

Both teams could have made it to the finals.

But every time has a could of people we haven't seen compete so you never know

I'd say key west would be second and Vegas third but road rules is stacked

Austin and FreshMeat should've been replaced with DC and Road Rules. St. Thomas should've been replaced by Trishelle, Alton, Frank, and Arrissa with Cooke and Leroy being on Vegas 2 team.

They would have if they could but didn't Frank drop out so that's why them combined , and so did Ashley L/Callie and Erika

I haven't heard any detailed explanations about why Road Rules was left off though. It still baffles me that production chose Austin, NO, and Fresh Meat/Spring Break over a stacked Road Rules team consisting of Derrick/Darrell/Rachel/Katie. Hopefully production can look back and realize how big the casting mistakes on BOTS really were. The ratings would have done way better if DC and/or Road Rules were there.

Road Rules would have helped a lot though. I remember molds said that DC was dropped for Vegas. The idea of two Vegas teams was then axed when Dustin dropped out after learning Cooke would be going as well. MTV made it clear that they wanted both Alton and Trishelle regardless of who else from either Vegas was represented. My guess is that BMP really wanted Dustin, so they dropped Cooke and combined the teams to make things easier and appease everyone. I think the reason Road Rules was dropped was because they wanted 2-4 new winners and a cast of predominantly newer faces, and RR was an entire team of Champions which defeated the purpose.

They could have been there in place of one of the other vet teams like Austin. BMP/MTV should stop asking guys like Wes, Johnny, etc. back if crowning new champs is really what they're aiming to do.

I'm gonna guess it's Landon since Derrick and Darrell were both pretty close to appearing on BOTS. Did Landon say he wouldn't come back?
