I really do think Leroy and Mike deserved a spot in the finals. Coming in clutch at the last challenge really proved it. They knew they needed that win.
I really do think Leroy and Mike deserved a spot in the finals. Coming in clutch at the last challenge really proved it. They knew they needed that win.
Well when comparing their performance to showings like Marlon/Jordan, Emily, Cooke, and a few others, where they consistently dominated in challenges(or at least proved to be a threat with the vets), competed in eliminations... and made it to the final on their first/second challenge... Winning one fluke challenge, and then not even being a threat during the final itself, isn't as impressive. At least in my opinion it isn't.
Could someone do me a favor and pm me the speculated format for this challenge? I really don't want to search through the thread and find any other spoilers. thanks much appreciated!
Its just a individual format I'm pretty sure that's all we know but its not a duel
Mike and Leroy skated by, I wouldn't say they earned it. Marlon and Jordan earned their spots.
Now THAT I agree with.
So Frank & Johnny earned there spot on rivals 2
God you just HAD to bring that Idiot into this didn't you?

Just checking if you're bias because Frank & Johnny never went into a jungle either so do you think they earned the spot
Just checking if you're bias because Frank & Johnny never went into a jungle either so do you think they earned the spot
As much as it pains me to say this and despite Johnny using all his minions to do his bidding...Yes they deserved it.
I don't get why that was even a question. CT & Wes didn't go into an elimination either, and you could say that CT did everything in his power to avoid being thrown in by flirting/hooking up with multiple girls.
I only reason I said Johnny & Frank because DA hates Johnny and I wanted to see if he'd still say people who didn't go in earned it
I only reason I said Johnny & Frank because DA hates Johnny and I wanted to see if he'd still say people who didn't go in earned it
Yeah, I meant to quote DA's reply. Sorry for the confusion.

But I don't hate CT as much as I hate Johnny. Not only that I really didn't mind what CT did to stay out of eliminations.
you know who else made to the finals as rookies over the years mike the miz elka and coral from battle of the seasons 1 darrell sarah david and alton from gauntlet 1 deyvn ashley sam frank and zach from battle of the seasons 2 noor pete carley and laurel from fresh meat 2 casey aviv and kenny from fresh meat 1 kendall holly christna and ct from inferno 1
I hate when people think that rivals was the first time rookies made it to the final, both duels a rookie girl came in second. Sarah made the final on the ruins, Janelle won the inferno 3 as a rookie. Jamie and Landon won the inferno 2 as rookies. Tori won the gauntlet 3 as a rookie. Emily made the final on Cutthroat. Rookies making the final ISN'T a new thing.
I keep hearing rumors that either CT or Johnny Bananas was the last guy eliminated does anybody have clue to which of these rumors are true? I mean I heard Zach took out CT and Johnny favorited a Tweet a day or 2 before the projected final challenge but was in a picture with a sunburnt face with other cast members I mean can anyone tell me if any of these rumors have any legitimacy what so ever.

So chances are that he was still alive in the Challenge. Some posters have mentioned that in past seasons members of the cast have favorited/liked statuses, pictures and tweets while they were still on the show.
You can't really count the fresh meat from a fresh meat season because every team has one rookie, but point taken.
And to add to that they're not real cast members anyway so they definitely don't count.
And to add to that they're not real cast members anyway so they definitely don't count.
Lol. Fresh meat are REAL cast members of the challenge. That's like saying a certain actor is not a real cast member of a show because they've never done any other acting work before. Or like saying a person on survivor isn't apart of the cast because they've never played a sport. We get it you hate fresh meat. But get over it, they ARE cast members on these challenges, which is a completely different show than the real world and road rules. If you are having trouble with the definition of what a cast is, then google will help you with that. If you refuse to believe it just because your skull is thick, I recommend therapy, because that is asinine.
Define "any"....I think we have a good understanding of many things but clearly not all
there was a spoiler a couple pages back that said that everyone in the final went into an elimination except for Johnny B. so im assuming it was CT if what your are saying is correct.
And to add to that they're not real cast members anyway so they definitely don't count.
I've seen you rationalize this with "they haven't had a proper Real World season" in the past. Some may argue that we've not been presented with a "proper" Real World season in 7-10 years..........at least not the show I remember watching in the 90's and early 2000's. With this logic, this season may contain only 1-2 "real" cast members.

Because cast members from both shows appear on this show too. Did you know that at one point this show was called The Real World/Road Challenge? Shortening the name to "The challenge" doesn't change that. Oh an both of those analogies are bad. A Scripted show is not like a reality show in any way. If an actor becomes a part of a show. He is a cast member. Plain and simple. He didn't need to have been apart of a specific show in order to be a cast member on the the show he is apart of now. The Fresh Meat needed to be on another show to be considered cast members(to me at least) TV doesn't work like reality shows. Learn the difference. And Survivor is not a spots competition so I don't know where you get that from. No one needs to have played any sports to be on that show. Otherwise they wouldn't cast have the people they do.
I've seen you rationalize this with "they haven't had a proper Real World season" in the past.
The Fresh Meat needed to be on another show to be considered cast members(to me at least) TV doesn't work like reality shows. Learn the difference.
This is where I feel your argument falls apart on this subject. A reality show is a TV show. The only reason Fresh Meat happened was because Road Rules was cancelled. They needed more cast members because they went from having 12 - 24 new people to pull from everywhere to 8 - 16. Without Fresh Meat, The Challenge may have been cancelled already. Fresh Meat cast that did multiple challenges following their season: Kenny, Casey, Evan, Diem, Eric, Ryan, Evelyn, Laurel, Theresa, Mandi, Brandon, and Cara Maria. You can say what you want about whether you like them or not, but the reality is without Fresh Meat 1 (maybe not FM2), this show would already be cancelled. Kenny, Evan, Diem, Big Easy, Evelyn, and Laurel have all played vital parts and had storylines that helped carry a season of this show. Would Battles of the Exes been as highly rated without the CT/Diem relationship? I argue that no, the ratings would have been lower. Would Rivals 1 have done as well without the Kenney/Wes team? Maybe, but their dynamic and the Adam/CT stuff made that season dynamite. Would the female side of competition been as interesting without Evelyn? Hell no. So while I respect your opinion about why you do not consider Fresh Meat a great concept, I really don't agree with it. I really do your see your point but I feel like there are other drums worth beating about the challenge than Fresh Meat. Lack of interesting concepts and lackluster teams has been a bigger problem in my opinion. That said, even a ****** season of The Challenge is still better than most reality shows out there.
When has Eric EVER carried a season
He was the main dramatic moment on Gauntlet 3
Just to stop this current "discussion". I heard that the following people got verbally into eachother. (It would be nice if somebody shares something what they heard) Johnny B and Laurel (even though they were in the same alliance) Swift and Latoya Nia and Jordan Nia and Nany Nia and Jemmye Jonna with either Jasmine or Emilee Camilla and Theresa Dustin and Jordan Frank and CT/Zach Leroy and Chet Isaac and CT (more like a Marlon situation though) Isaac and Swift Nia and Johnny B Last but not least....Nia vs. Johnny R. BTW: Rumors are that Johnny B & Laurel did the politics and CT wasn't into this challenge than the previous ones. However, the vibe after filming were very good amongst the producers but not amongst castmembers.
He was the main dramatic moment on Gauntlet 3
You can't carry a season by doing awful on the final
You can't carry a season by doing awful on the final
It wasn't just the final. When Evan was thrown into the Gauntlet, everyone on that team didn't want to face Big Easy. So Johnny Bananas was thrown in and eliminated by Evan. Had Easy been forced into the Gauntlet and lost, the Veterans would have obliterated the Rookies in the Final. Even with all the medical attention Easy got and all the time that was wasted, they still beat the Rookies. If it weren't for the rules stating everyone had to finish, Vets win. It was a good twist to end the season because everything in that Challenge was predictable. The best parts of that season were the Vets throwing challenges in ridiculous ways, especially Danny running around in circles during the pyramid challenge.
