That may be Jemmye's opinion but I haven't seen the "Real" in The Real World in the last few seasons. The trailer seemed more interesting than the last three seasons combined aside from Nia vs. Johnny & Averey.
What other seasons did you not the "Real" in The Real World?

After Las Vegas the drama and situations felt artificial minus the Nia situation but that was over something stupid.
Looks good. I hope there's some substance to all the "style". It was hard to tell who was who, though. This season is incredibly non-diverse. 3 out of 12 are minorities? Everyone looks fantastic, though.
Jenny seems like she'll be central to this season and I'm definitely most excited for her. Pre-season fave right there.
Ashley's my pre-season fave. , I kind of like how they casted this season, there are no lifeless wallflowers apparently. The people still seem really shallow to me so far, like I don't feel like they're real people like I felt when I was watching the Portland, or Vegas season.

Four,Jamie's modeling page says she's Asian
This season has me more excited than a season since Sydney.
Let's be honest, the shows good casting days are over. It's only going to cast 21-23 year old party animals that only want to drink and hookup, and whose career aspirations are acting/modeling or anything that doesn't require a degree. That has gotten really old and boring, it needed a format change.
I mean yeah, I would have loved it if they cast a Mormon who hates their religion but is too afraid to tell their preacher father. Or a Midwestern ready to break out of their shell from a small town. Or a closeted homosexual ready to show the world who they are despite their family values. Or a curvy person battling weight issues. Or struggling young adult trying to find a job with a degree in this poor economy. And the crazy person with parent issues.
I don't get why they can't cast from different walks of life, but since apparently that is impossible for them, this format change is needed.
This season looks awesome! A huge step up from Portland and San Diego imo. And can you please try to keep spoilers to a minimum in this thread(I understand they may tend to slip out if you're so used to discussing in the spoiler thread), I really don't wanna know if someone leaves.
Best trailer since RW: B2 Las Vegas. Lets hope this season is just as good as Las Vegas 2.5 because the last three seasons were stale and boring.
Well I wasn't a fan of Vegas 2.0 so based on this trailer, I'm betting on Ex-Plosion to be much more entertaining to me than that season.
What I like about this season is that every single person looks interesting, not like past seasons. I'm hoping it can at least pull ratings like San Diego was putting during their season.

I'd like to think it'd pull ratings based on the format. The real test will be to maintain the ratings.
People forget that society has changed. It's not the show, it's people. I keep seeing people on the facebook page make dumb comments such as "Why hasn't real world been real since Season 1??" Ect. I mean.. it is, it's just people of that age group and the things that are on tv now is more party/drama focused.
Also casting a bunch of low self esteem/problematic kids would almost feel like watching True Life/Rehab. lolol

Yeah you can tell it won't have one or two people carrying the whole season like the past three seasons.
Just watched the trailer and the 2 Ashley's look way too much alike.
Was Lauren even in the trailer?
Jamie is not as pretty as her pictures, Ari is prettier than her pictures.
Jenny is going to run the house, easily the star female of the show.
Jay and Jenna are going to have some DRAMA fights I feel like.
Brian and Cory are going to hate each other.
Hailey...meh?
Overall I think there is too many girls and too many girls that look similar (Ashley, Ashley, Lauren, Hailey).
In order of people that I think will add something to the show
1.Jenny
2.Thomas
3.Jay
4.Jamie
5.Ashley M
6.Jenna
7.Brian
8.Cory
9.Arielle
10.Hailey
11.Ashley C
12.Lauren

I will Put Hailey on 6 based on what I heard and just moved the list down.
I think the 2 ashley looks similar, but disagree on the other 2 Hailey is tiny like Katie/Heather Marter and Lauren is Thickr than any other girl.

vEGAS 2 trailer was awful. It we're going to have hard ons for trailers then Brooklyn, Cancun, Chicago and 2 others should be on the top of your list. And Portland's was good as well.
The trailer didn't entertain me much. it seemed staged.
especially cory's line and that phone convo insert. *shudders*
Anyway Jenna's line to Ashley and her line about Cory and her ex were amazing. The knife scene was too BGC-y for my liking.

What phone convo line? The "I've got some bad news" one? I actually think that was legit since didn't someone in the cast's family pass away during filming?
Also, I don't ACTUALLY think anything was scripted or staged, it's just that the trailer had a weird vibe like they were all playing it WAAAY up for the cameras. Even the knife thing. I get that people thought it was funny but to me it screamed "Look at me, this will make a good clip!" I can't really explain it.

you're exactly right! i didn't hate it but it just felt weird to me for some reason. i think they were trying too hard, which can make it look scripted. hopefully the whole show won't be like that but i guess we'll see..
