It's a slow news day.
As you have noted, there is zero chance of them ever going to a major sporting event because of licensing cost. With TRW: Denver Coors field was just down the street and off limits.
Didn't the Washinton D.C. cast go to a D.C. United game or something?
Didn't the Washinton D.C. cast go to a D.C. United game or something?
A few years ago DC United would practically pay anyone to go.
This is a definately older cast last season had four 21 year olds, this season has a 26 year old, two 22 year olds and a 23 and 24 year old.
I actually like that they have 3 ppl from Cali (one currently living in SF) in this season... reminds me of the original. Four were from Cali, with three of them already in SF before it started filming.
I would like to see production bring 7 stangers on the show who have a NORMAL life/
does any one know what there is job
does any one know what there is job
Not yet but it will be made known soon as the season progresses.
I would like to see production bring 7 stangers on the show who have a NORMAL life/
How would that be interesting? Are you really hoping for another DC or San Diego season?
How would that be interesting? Are you really hoping for another DC or San Diego season?
these people are not gonna be interesting maybe Thomas will be interesting but i doubt it
It annoys me when people assume the cast is going to suck and they are going to be boring.. Lets just wait until the season airs to judge their personalities. I mean look at the Austin cast, they were all pretty normal for the most part and that IMO was one of the best seasons.
Something tells me Production is given up on the Real World.. just my opinion I might be wrong though we just gon have to wait and see
Something tells me Production is given up on the Real World.. just my opinion I might be wrong though we just gon have to wait and see
*are just going to but I agree. RW is a wrap.

Austin was one of the worst seasons of The Real World ever.
Are you kidding? Austin was one of the worst seasons of The Real World ever.
...that was voted as the best season at the award bash, if I'm not mistaken?
It got voted the best and usually when I ask people, most people say Austin was there favorite but like I said that was my opinion..
While I don't know this for sure in any way, I would guess this was probably one of the highest rated seasons in total number of viewers so that would explain why so many people are familiar with it and remember it. There was no one too hideous for the superficial people to be annoyed with and the 4 most attractive people all dated each other (people love couples on the RW even though they are all the same) However, some people found the Austin cast completely awful (I am in this camp) It gave us young awful Wes, always sad to watch yet hard to empathize with Danny, likable but always swallowed up in Danny storylines Melinda, boring beautiful Johanna, boring weird Lacey and vaguely grumpy and unhappy Nehemiah and Rachel.
Well, this is not 1994 so no.
What's wrong with paying homage? How at all will it affect the show dynamic with having a few of them already live there? it won't. The Real World is the same every season... and like JEKFAN, there's no point in making these pre-judgements of the cast based on their backgrounds and appearance. A good book doesn't always have a great cover.
Something tells me Production is given up on the Real World.. just my opinion I might be wrong though we just gon have to wait and see
So many negative people here. This seems to be a common theme over the past few seasons, but they keep on coming out with new seasons. Just because we don't have any crazy pre-season info (like a gay-for-pay ******** for example) doesn't mean production has given up or that this cast is a dud.

Do you see this as a positive or a negative?
Why did they cast so many professionals for this season? Do you see this as a positive or a negative?
Anyone and everyone can be a "model" these days. The fact is, people like watching beautiful people. And who's to say that pretty people can't have problems too? I know Nany wasn't a "model" but I think she's a good example of someone whom people assumed was cast for her good looks and then turned out to be a main focus of her season.
You didn't answer my question.
People like watching beautiful people... that's my answer. They want people to tune in, so they cast good looking roommates. Just because they have an account on Model Mayhem does not mean they are a "professional," and just because they are a "model" does not mean they don't have an interesting story.

BTW, do you work for BMP or a modeling agency?
What people are also failing to to realize is we live in a day and age where a majority of young people are either trying to be a nurse, lawyer, rapper or model there ie not much lee way to it unfortuantely I can say this confidently being 22 and the majority of the people I know are pursuing these feilds and While these people say they are models , I can safely say that without the one photoshoot each castmember has done they are not real models , There is a certain appearance and level of work one must reach to be considered a model IMHO , to which each one of these people fall far from. Now I honestly don't think they took anytime to actually cast this season (I believe tgey had a loxation and Cast Image well into Post-Portland days but I say give them a chance!! let's wait till we see this in motion before we stivk the fork in this season but yes ArW is DEAD sad but true , Although I'm giving this cast a chance I know deep down production did no work to actually find a cast so that shows me exactly how they feel towards TRW.
...that was voted as the best season at the award bash, if I'm not mistaken?
That awards bash was a travesty of epic proportions.
I think its a negative thing that they casted models because in the real world everybody doesnt look like a model
I also think people on here are taking the term "Model" way too seriously. There is no doubt that this season wasn't cast like older seasons but it's not like these people are fresh off the runway or some big modeling gig. The only people I would even take serious as a model would be Arielle and possibly Ashley. I'm thinking Bunim Murray just wanted people who are easy on the eyes that also have a story to tell. In my opinion these people aren't any better looking than the Real Worlders from the last few seasons so I don't understand the issue.

Come on, WittyWrath.
